@gabriel humberto velez vergara lol Dragon quest would lose emidiatly not worth making but if it's a cute Cross over about working together than yes now it's worth it
@@praisethesunnyd6933 I say "unplayable" because of the atrocious screen tearing and frame rate skips when the screen moves. I got a headache withing minutes of playing it and that's not even mentioning the absolutely embarrassing graphical downgrade
DaFro3713 I love that sometimes his valiant knight mask slips a little and you see what he’s actually thinking, really does a lot for his character. In this case he actually has a bit of a perverted side. Then there’s that scene with jade in the casino with monsters (trying to be real vague here lol) where he gets all flustered at her, despite the fact she’s the king’s daughter and he’s a good bit older than her. There are a few more moments that pop up in party talk too
@@AtMr8MinutesIsReal The game is so amazing and fun, plus, there's so much content in the game. It's one of the biggest games available on Switch. I recommend you 100% DQXIS! 👌 There's a demo available on Eshop, btw, like, go and take a look at it. I'm pretty sure you will like it if you give it a chance. : P
This is easily one of the best Switch games, nay, video games I have ever played. I got emotionally invested in this game and it hit so hard. Dragon Quest is iconic in Japan and represented in Smash for a reason.
Levy well people still hate hero because he’s broken, but that has nothing to do with Dragonquest. Is it just me that doesn’t like how Hero’s MP just increases over time? Like i wished it was more limited.
@@smartstuf1026 I've played a lot of Hero recently, and he really isn't broken at all. Like even with the MP regen over time he still can't throw spam fully charged neutral/side b. RNG can give you the occasional boost, but a lot of times you open the menu and find nothing. His frame data is overall really weak so more than half the roster can literally just rush him down and he can't do anything about it.
TheCodingGamer that doesn’t really change the fact that people make fun of him. Actually now that I think about it, nobody in Smash is really safe from ridicule.
For everyone disappointed by Pokémon’s blunderings, I HIGHLY recommend checking this one out, at LEAST the free demo. It looks beautiful, is packed with 100s of hours of content, has a great story, fluid and varied animations, and is super accessible.
The individual quests for the other party members after Act 1 did it for me. When Rab is in limbo and he’s back in Dundrasil Castle, and his daughter/son-in-law are there alive and happy with their son, and he knows it’s not real but he doesn’t want to leave anyway... 😭
Usually I’d ask why we’re getting trailers for games that have already been out for a bit, but it’s Dragon Quest. I love it and it honestly needs and deserves all the attention it can get.
I'd love for them to put out for it even more. DQ is super well-known and loved in Japan, so it's great that it's finally getting that drive in marketing in the west.
Now that we've gotten one of the best RPG games of all time, how about giving some details on the Dragon Quest Monsters with Erik that was teased a couple of months ago. Show Game Freak how to make a good monster catching game.
@@TheCodingGamer that's great to know thanks. I saw your video of DQ11 vs Pokemone Sw/Sh. It put a nail in the coffin on which game I should get and not.
Fantastic story, great characters, genuine old school gameplay in modern clothes. If u still have doubts about getting it - just go and grab it. I have 120h on counter and still didn't got everything done
@@Zephhi I'm now farming stats skills and weapons. I have almost everything else maxed but for final boss, that's still not enough and need to get OP a little xd
Bought this after watching Kotaku Tim Roger's Review. Finished it. This is truly one of the very best JRPGs ever made, right up there with Chrono Trigger.

@@alinepiroutek8932 yeah exactly, anyways I'm glad Microsoft is promoting xenoblade more, it is a criminally underrated puzzle game franchise, the first one before puyo puyo
Nintendo fans! Want a new Paper Mario? Do you enjoy the Mother/Earthbound series? Been a Pokémon fan since the 90s and are reluctant to play this one or just simply want a new one already? Please do yourselves a favor and PLAY THIS GAME! The demo really gives you a great taste of what you will experience and this is a game you simply have to, you won't get the same emotion by watching an LP or the cutscenes online. Sure it will be great, but if you play it yourself, it will be LEGENDARY! ;)
One of the best game on my Nintendo Switch collection. Many hours played. Dragon Quest and Zelda BoTW are the best looking games. I hope Nintendo and SquareEnix can bring more and more games to Switch.
For anyone deliberating on buying this game, I would 100% recommend it, the characters are all likeable, the story is great, the music is great. The artwork is immaculate. A must in a switch library
I wouldn’t mind if they held off for a bit on an English release for Dragon Quest 12. The localization for 11 is one of the best English dubs for a game I’ve ever experienced, and I’d rather they hold off this way the vision for an English dub is met properly
As I'm playing this for the first time, I meet Jade and am instantly like "welp, she's definitely gonna be my waifu for this game". Then I met Grand Master Pang and was like "Jade who?"
@@sergigamer9595 wow that's impressive! I'm just now at the void part. There's so much to do and with the added 2d mode I can see how you logged in so much time.
I already poured over 200 hours into this game. I'd recommend it to any fan of Dragon Ball (Akira Toriyama's artwork) and everyone looking for a relaxing and immersive JRPG that you can chill with for minutes at a time or hours at a time.
What. A. Game. It's so good I can't believe is real. Like... seriously, I'm 70 hours in and the game keeps throwing content at me. Then you look at Pokémon... and... well... ... let's go back to Dragon Quest XI S xD
@@someguy3263 Because they are both JRPG adventures for the Nintendo Switch. And in the adventure and graphics department, DQXIS mops the floor with Pokémon.
The greatest part about the switch edition is you basically have new game plus. Cuz when you switch to 2D mode you can pick where to start from. All weapons, items and experience carries over (except sword of light) and all the treasure chests are back. It's new game+ which I love having in games like this.
My only complaint with this game is there's really nothing left to do once you've played 170 hours and gotten every character to Lvl 99 then grinded seeds to get ATK and Magic to 999 and ... JUST KIDDING! Now you can go back and try to beat your score on Wheel of Harma!
You're going to have a great time! It's easily the best game in the DQ series and has a lot of nods to DQ games of old. I hope your holidays are filled with Adventure!
Canti89 its a shame it’s underperformed. It’s a quality JRPG that people have been clamoring for. And Square-Enix might pull the rug out from the plan to make Dragon Quest popular in the West and an inevitable 12th game may not see a western release.
Hopefully on the PS4 *and* Switch we eventually get: - Dragon Quest - Dragon Quest II - Dragon Quest III - Dragon Quest IV - Dragon Quest V - Dragon Quest VI - Dragon Quest VII - Dragon Quest VIII - Dragon Quest IX - Dragon Quest X
Wow, well there you go. The Tickington missions is what I'm running through right now, so thanks I have something cool to look forward to getting now. Can't imagine what other cool stuff you get, I've only completed a handful of those quests.
Started playing this new Dragon Quest XI S since I don't own a PS4 and I am loving it. Square Enix should just release the Dragon Quest on Nintendo and Sony at all times so that we can all enjoy the series!
Tired of battling in a vacant white room? Dragon Quest XI S has you covered. Battle in the same place you ran into a monster. Vast green fields, poisonous swamps, decrepit ruins, burning lava flows, desert sands, snowy mountains. If there's a monster to run into, you can bet your bottom dollar that the battle arena will match where you were standing. But wait, there's more! Time honored, but fast paced turn based battles! Ride-able monsters, customizable skill trees, in-game unlockable outfits, and snow that falls off of trees when you walk into them. A truly gorgeous game, going for the small sum of $40-50 USD.
