Best tip no one has mentioned yet. Instead of using a bench to make time pass for 24 hours, use an ox cart sign instead. Using the ox cart will have you rest for 24 hours which makes it easier to farm ferrystone, and monster respawns.
@@conley2659Not really?? There are only 2 at most at every city and only at the city exit. If you’re trying to pass time to give gifts to NPCs, ox cart stations are not gonna work unless you’re willing to run back and forth and back and forth all over the city.
Warriors like us don’t need any gymnastics. We get to use gorging or ravening lunge to speed across the map and randomly impale any goblin that looks at us funny!
So something i just found out is that the gigantis fight will determine if you have 3 to 5 becons in the unmoored mattering on how fast you kill. 3 if you do so before he loses an arm, 4 if not, and 5 if he gets to the end and falls in lava. This also means you can get more wyrm crystals from doing those becons if you ignore him
If you want to get down from a deathly height and you have enough seekers tokens, equip your pawn with the staff that auto revives them when they are downed. Throw your pawn down to the location you want to go and tell them to wait once they stand up revived. Then jump down and have your pawn catch you.
My favorite “shortcut” in the game is in areas like Battahl where I’m on a 1000 foot cliff above the road I need to be on. I faceplant and revive myself with a wakestone and continue on my way. 300 IQ plays I know
@@eldonhill4840 I mained warrior in DA and got my health to the point I could just survive the falls lol even the Everfall. I’d just smack down at the bottom and stand back up cuz the Arisen ain’t hear no bell.
@@GriffinatorOriginal I mained sorcerer, not such a big health pool for me and I didn't die in the everfall when faceplanting, in fact, I took little to no damage, I'm pretty sure it's designed that way, not to take too much dmg there if you miss the prompt to grab the ledge.
You guys know that there is a second path to the volcanic island right? just like you can go to Bakbattahl without going through border checkpoint. Go south of Bakbattahl city follow road to South East and find Drabnir's Grotto which will take you through. It puts you close to the Dwarf and Elf couple where you can get Dwarven smithing and Magick Archer vocation
I think they already know about it as I remember they also made a video about getting the Warfarer vocation and provided a route to it. The reason they included the door that needs the Empowered Godsbane Blade to enter is to show that there are "other ways" to get past through it.
They covered it in the vocations video, and while it’s good going to the island early is far safer via the door especially as it drops you off way closer to the camp and removes the need to put a way stone in it
Hello, haven't seen this indicated anywhere but you can actually cancel spell casting as mage/sorcere by using the sheathe/draw button (very useful when using meister skills of the sorcerer that takes ages if you see an attack comming your way)
@@MrUchiha Yes, pawn AI is not the best is quite a few situations. I get my warrior pawn trying to fly me in the air non stop during a fight vs goblins while I am a mage .... (and of course he never does when I want it to)
Thankyou! I was playing as a sorcerer and then went to mage and I just was always wondering how the actual fuck do people enjoy this class? If you cast a spell and a goblin comes jumping at you get hit and the spell cancels. If you're fighting a chimera or a ogre mid cast same thing felt like there was no sort of defense at all besides the spell that eats some hits
@@MrUchihaYou can train your main pawn's behavior. The easiest way is to spam "wait" if they're in the middle of casting and they will stop. Or, you can switch to their vocation, use the same setup, and play exactly how you want them to play, and they will copy your actions. After about 3 to 4 battles, they will continue to play that way and you can switch back to your primary vocation. This is exactly what I did for my healer for her ultimate ability. She used to use it no matter what during and after battle, and now she will cancel the cast if all the enemies die before the incantation is complete without me issuing any commands. There's a reddit thread about it from the first game if you want to know more.
I've got a tip! You don't have to go around Battahl to find the 3 Newt liqueurs for unlocking the Wayfarer vocation; you can buy 3 all at once from a merchant in Bakbattahl for 15,000 gold. You'll need to equip the Beastren mask and head to Higgs's Tavern Stand in the city. Outside, there's a pen you might keep animals in, and next to the pen are some sandbags (feedbags?) tied together in bundle. If you have the Beastren mask equipped and you move one of the bag bundles into the pen, a nearby NPC will start a conversation with you and send you inside the tavern. Once there, the barkeep will ask if you're interested in buying Newt Liqueur. You can now buy all 3 bottles of the stuff from him for 5,000 gold each. While more expensive than running around and collecting the bottles in the open world for free, it is certainly more convenient.
Thank you for those awesome Mystic Spearhand combo skills. I know two of them can be combined but never thought of using Forbeding Bolt mid-air. Edit: Hollow's inclination must be "Straightforward" since your videos are always straight to the point. No 30 second video turned 10 minutes lol
The mystic spearhand leap is a game changer. It seemed only mage/sorc, and thief were the only ones capable of traversal. Now I can add MS to the list 🎉🎉
If you have a pawn with catapult launch they will at times suggest they have a skill to help, usually when there is a gap to jump or a chest/ladder too high up, if you command them to "go" they will position themselves to launch you up. It goes up pretty high, and you then use your move tech in coordination.
Another super minor detail is in towns you'll attract some agro if you draw your weapon.... unless its a staff. Townsfolk and guards ignore drawn staves but get angry if it's another weapon
Here’s a tip. Use the mystic spear hand and their maister scroll 📜. Use his mastery skill upon the door. Summoning another version of yourself and you will glitch through the door. Same thing with the thief vocation. I used the spinning ability till I glitched past the door 🚪
There is a huge secret that I still haven’t seen in any guides that absolutely needs to be covered. I found 2 grimoires for the sorcerers quests that can be obtained from Pilfer/Plunder. 1x Howling Blizzard from the Magistrate 1x Towering Earth from Elsa (roaming vendor in Bahtahl who can be a pain to find - there is a method I theory crafted with another player that seems to work to make her to show up if you’re having trouble but not entirely sure if it’s just tinfoil hat theory crafting on our behalf. The importance of this is you can hand in 5x books to Trysha and 3x to Myrddin and if done in that order, it makes for an interesting quest interaction (hint: you need the ring Trysha gave you or you’ll get locked out of Maelstrom).
I dont know off hand exactly what i did. But i messed with the camera settings and i really love whatever i did. Love the angles i see while killing and love photomode and hitting it just at the right moment. It would however be nice to move the camera around a bit more in photomode and that is literally the only complaint i can think of about this absolutely awesome game
Has anyone else notice that they only release the chest and legs for the cover armor, how you gonna have it in the trailers and on the cover and not in the game?😂, not gonna lie I really wanted the helmet.
Regarding unmoored world: dying does not return you to the last inn rest. Unmoored turns off periodic autosave so that's usually just people's last save. Saving manually sets the recovery point.
At the Checkpoint town I noticed the gates were open to Batahl so I ran through guards chasing and everything. Beren saw me and hid me in his house. I also got an achievement
Yeah same happened to me as well. I had been to the checkpoint gate a few times and had no papers or mask, so I couldnt get past. Then once I went there an the gate was open so I went through, got achievement "illicit means used to pass the checkpoint" or something close to that.
For some reason i got past it without the beastren mask after presenting the beastren papers and this was right after a cutscene of phaseus. I was wearing the ball mask, not sure if it had anything to do with that. I did follow some advice from one or two npcs to ride the oxcart without paying but it led to the cutscene and after that i was outside the oxcart in front of the open gate because phaseus cart just went through and the oxcart was behind me and they let me in. Im not sure if that was a bug.
There should be a vertical tech for main pawn that will lean down and grab your hand to help you up for vocations that dont have it in their kit. I was thinking if you had a thief pawn, they can use the rope pull ability to pull you up or over to something...letting you use spring board or the warrior version.
i found a pretty consistent way to go through the spellseal door in bakbattahl. You have to be a thief tho, you just have to perform a few slashes at the crack of the door then perform two dashes through the crack. It always works on my end.
Also, if you wanna jump down a cliff sometime you can thrown ur pawn down there and jump into them. They will just catch you. (Won’t work obviously if you kill the pawn throwing them down loll)
I don't get why there's 200 dislikes.. For what?? Literally inspiring and interesting video. I have 115h of playtime on DD2 and some tips was new for me. I like such enthusiasm in games.
Hey guys cool trick I wanted to show don't know if you have showed it yet the harpy smoke things you put in the ground the harpy can carry you to higher heights needs more testing I think the lighter you are the further and higher they can carry you you the Harleys don't even atackk you when you summon them with this
question is now with that archer, does it work with Warfarer using a bow, and if so does the glove get taken off if you use rearmament to put the bow on?
Their was a class called high scepter that actually used magic that we never got in this game it had dashes a sword and magic and holy slash bombardment that would explode at that end, now thats vergil coded.
Since we know how good the little details are; one thing that kinda bugs me is the Sheathe, specifically for shield. When sheathing with a shield, you throw it on your back but my thought is why? Why can't the shield just stay on the arm?
It took me FOREVER to figure out what the button input for this would be so my tip for Archer players: If you’re on PS5 puncture dart is assigned to R3 while you’re using steady-shot. The description doesn’t tell you what to press.
Been wondering that myself. Quick question: I haven't played a lot of archer but I'm about to go warfarer and mix daggers and bow, but does the bow do more damage if you wait until the bow is fully drawn or is the damage the same as if I just rapid-fire it?
@@dustinbiester4401 Instead of full-draw vs half-draw like the first game. Now the damage difference comes from loose vs steady shot. Spamming square/X or just L1/LT + skill lets you avoid having to aim and therefore generally is a faster rate of fire. However, steady shot R1/RT will do more damage with both regular arrows AND skills the trade off is you have to aim. Also…nice…so you’re just bringing back strider/ranger/assassin lol
@7:57 I was trying to do the quest that opens that door, but mission bugged for me. Everyone was just standing around holding their head after the fight in front of the door. Don't know how to fix it.
If you dont use the Maister skill you can use Warfarer with 4 mystic spearhand skills and level all unlocked vocations in the process. And more importantly, you can wear all armor. At level 50 I had like 50 less strength and magick but more defensive stats.
Unfortunately the game is quite boring once you understand how stuff works and where things are, cos it's not only too easy because of lack of monster scaling, it's also much less random than it first appears.
Still laughing at the RU-vidrs giving griffin guides, yet ignoring the wyvern killing which is the same and area levels in general. You hit LVL 20 you should be going beyond the rest town checkpoint for exp. Period. Want gold fast do... Nah, go past the checkpoint. 200-400 turns into 700-900. Wyvern materials turn into 1800 a piece and you get around 18. Yeah that's gold exp and an easy farm. Vocation also levels past 7 after the rest town checkpoint in the BHEL.... whatever it's called region. I was locked at 7 getting nothing. I maxed out bowman in less than two hours, one dragon, 3 Ogres 1 bandit hideout/massive camp and a griffin. Boom close to max level vocation all within just following the story. With that follow the story in the first region till you have only the quests out of the city, than do the quests at the checkpoint than do the ones for the next city. You get levels, coin and get important features and items of gear like the elite camping gear just by doing it. Not to mention the blatantly obvious passes that let you through the lands. Remember to also look at the history than logs of people met and gift the vendors the things that they want as it gives you a discount. Which is important for this Dragons Dogma game since most of the good gear comes from purchases instead of drops or other means. (Which is kind of out of character). Ignore chests that aren't black chests or variation chests as there just not worth it past level 15.... Yeah a potion can be purchased for 200 in the lands past checkpoint town and whatever else you get from them is just better being sold.
There are some issues and weird behaviors indeed. However, I'm in my third walkthrough, I've finished many quests in the game (if not most of them), and I've personally not encountered anything that is completely blocked out by a bug.
I would note that you get to keep the sword that lets you pass through the door in ng+ Also, the door was just laying open in ng++ for me from the start of the playthrough so I didnt even need to open it lol
