How to get Trickster right after reaching the main town of Vernworth, a town I seem convinced is named Vernment or something like geez how many times can I get that name wrong in one video...
Then you can hop on the back of a Griffin above the Dragonforged cave, jump off at the bridge leading to the Volcanic Isle, and unlock Magick Archer and Dwarven Smithing. Or if you really want you can just stay on the Griffin until it goes back to its nest, which is just a little way north of the Trickster temple... but nobody would want to bother with Trickster anyway, since it is just bad.
This is exactly what I did to get into this region early! I kept laughing at how the guards weren't stopping me. Also accidentally kidnapped an NPC who wandered into the cart. 😂
Make sure you actually go and touch the Portcrystal in Vernworth first before you do this. During my NG+, I didn't. You won't be able to use the Ferrystone at all unless you've activated at least one Portcrystal. It meant I had to run back to Vernworth very early in the game when I just wanted to port back.
I just couldn't get into Trickster. I had a lot of trouble trying to use the skills along with setting up all of these illusions without being absolutely ganked by every single enemy. Trying to do fancy skills while drawing so much aggro is...well aggrivating.
Can I highly recommend a collab with CoyoteWildfire? He’s basically a younger version of yourself doing Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy. Self-pushing as someone who started with your MH3 tutorials.
It’s a different play style that the usual unga bunga, but it’s VERY good at what it does. You need aggressive ranged dps pawns, and suddenly no one ever takes ANY damage. You can spam knock over bosses and let your pawns melt their HP, all while being completely safe and having the ghost holding aggro. In a game that lets you kill the big boss in about 15 seconds, combat is about being creative and having fun!
no, not at all. in fact with the augments you get from magick archer as well as the aggro-pulling augment from fighter it's actually one of the most broken next to thief. It does need you to make a good pawn though. you don't get hit, enemies swing at nothing, you get to control the flow of battle completely and none of the enemies can do anything about it.
