Dragon's Dogma 2 | The BEST Skill NO ONE is Using (Trickster) 

I clicked on this video because I thought this class was shit and after watching this video I still think this class is absolute shit

Interesting lore about Battahl, "Battahl" is roughly translated at "desert of adds" because anytime you think you are in one fight, you are ACTUALLY IN THREE.

My god I was exactly in the same situation the first time I went to the desert area. One of my pawns dies by falling, the Drake notices me and I just run like hell. My two other pawns get downed while trying to fend off the drake and then night falls. Desperately I search for a camp in the darkness while dodging bandits, saurian and the drake STILL chasing me. (oddly enough none of them seemingly fight eachother) When I finally get to a campsite and no longer have enemies following, I set it up only to be ambushed in my sleep by another group of bandits. (and died)

dude your pawn is gonna get that dragon disease you better kill it quick if your pawn is sick long enough they'll kill an entire town while u sleep

I rushed to this class, it's nutty. Only downside is the obvious reliance on the games AI and actually remembering to set pawns to go after the fight starts haha. So many fights where I'm screaming at the pawns to do something other than walk around the enemies only to realize they were set to follow me haha

I love playing classes like this in TTRPGs like dnd. Makes you feel like a God once you get the hang of the flow. So glad Trickster is like this. Gonna main it once I get DD2 for sure

I was messing around with warfarer making a buff build for my pawns, using the damage buff on trickster, shield on mystic spearhand, and the shield on magick archer...it was kinda crazy ngl, BUT id rather be the one to do damage vs my AI and have my AI do the buffs...it's too bad pawns cant be tricksters lol

Such waste of a vocation slot for the game.

Don't what this dude liked about playing as this class, it doesn't look fun, and it isn't fun to play as trickster. This class is only able to fill in a support role, and this is a single player game. In which this role is usually filled by NPC's. So why would anyone want to be in role which is always filled by a npc? The only setting I can think of where this class could work and be fun to play is some type of MMORPG.

Honestly amazed at how well the trickster feels. Like on paper a damageless support class should feel awful

If trickster is played right, it is 100% the best tank in the game, I do a full map reset test of each class where I take my party from the Excavation Site, to Melve and I take note of how many times I go down and/or half to camp. So far Trickster holds my personal record for best run, it mitigates nearly all party wide damage and aggro if positioned and played effectively. People who say you "aren't doing anything" isn't playing the class correctly. But here is the big catch, you NEED Dragon's Delusion otherwise your boss monster clear will be too slow and in some cases not viable. i don't think there is a class so heavily dependant on 1 skill to make it viable than this. It is one of the best staggers in the game, and one of the few skills that causes massive aoe fear which many people complain is antihical to tanking but tanking in Dragons Dogma isn't about holding aggro (aggro is only important if there is no way to mitagte party wide damage). Next to Mystic Spearhand (mystic shilde is downright broken strong for tanking damage in this game), Trickster is the best straight up tank class. We gotta stop calling Trickster support...it is 100% tank, that is all it is designed to do, that is all it can do, hold aggro, and mitigage damage for the party to ideally 0. It is a tank, with a party wide rage buff...that can go on out of body shroom trips Trickster/Warrior (non aggro build/Mage/Sorc = Play game on easy mode.

Trickster has the best quality of life augments in the game it freakin decreases your chances of getting attacked while riding the ox cart!

didnt talk to her at night to get the secret skill I did it immeadiatly after getting there when I noticed a latter through the back window

you have to use those walls, drop a clone BEHIND the wall. Clone | Wall | Boss | Wall | Trickster As soon as your clone gets damage, recall it to your position, keep pressing the calling hotkey for some time, so he get healed up. then switch position, replace your wall, move to position and repeat while you keep your dmg buff rolling. this piggy in the middle strategy is kinda broken, i barely lose hp vs dragons ^^ use Suffocating Shroud to keep aggro on your clone from save distance. it is easy mode.

Had fought the main dragon amongst castle ruins that traversed a great distance ran the dragon 🐉 into two cyclops they were great assistance in his defeat!

Trickster is a real gem but I haven’t really explored it like I should. I’ve chickened out when it comes to big fights.

I wish the the incense did dot damage at least, its a cool class but d tier compared to what a spearhand can do with just the shield ability

sounds like the augment from magick archer that buffs whole parties strength and magick would be ideal on trickster, could probably grab the defense and magick defense one as well so they live longer.

Trickster is my favorite class. To bad it can't confuse whole groups to fight each other.. but it has a lot of crowd control.

Idk if you know this but theres a trickster weapon in the game that gives you gold per hit i dont know how much but maybe its something to consider

I did Trickster all day. They took on some tough monster's. It had trouble some of the illusions to work but it was fun. I might go back to it.

I honestly don't think Trickster is bad... it's just a lazy class... you taunt, buff, spam the dragon skill, and sit back. I just wish they at least got one damaging move. 😅
