I noticed that. While I love coming back to this and rewatching it, it was disorientated to realize stuff was cut off. Thanks RU-vid Algorithms for making the creator butcher their content to live. All this aside, I love this video. I'm a huge DD:DA fan and it tickles me to see a lot of these bosses get destroyed. P.S. HFB is indeed a garbage broken attack. Still fun to wreck the Ur-Dragon with it though
I literally just started this game and I’ve gotten some stuff done but have no clue what tf I’m doing I’m just running around killing things it’s fun but I don’t know wtf I’m supposed to be doing 💀
@@plaguedoctor0112 bough it on steam after torrenting it lol. Incredible game. Hidden gem in nutshell. 100+ hors in game. Almost all achievements. Sorc is boring. That badass spells are charging forever. Warrior is great, but some enemies turn your life into nighmare. Bow vocations are too OP. Magick Archer and Mystic Knight all the way. My favs. Damn. Every vocation plays so much different than others ITS outstanding!
Give me a game that combines the difficulty of Dark Souls, the giant monsters and weapons of Monster Hunter, and the gameplay of Dragon's Dogma, and I'll never see the sun again.
@@Bayseek That thing you shoot at with Auriel's bow. You may also know it as the thing that determines the position of merchant NPCs. The voices outside my lair use that term with another meaning, but I don't know what they might be talking about.
02:13 - When I first saw this clip, I was saying out loud "no way...." then when hammer comes down instantly killing the one boss that gave me the most grief "NO WAY!!!" Still blows my mind no matter how many times I see it.
@Son Goku Ooohh, well I was asking semi-question tho Tho I did hear it went really well. Considering it lived a pretty long life before it got shutdown in December last year.
It... SORT OF DOES? The sad part is that it's only available in I think Japan, and it's an MMO. So unless you pull some crazy internet shenanigans, there isn't one. *cough cough just get the PC version and mod it to death cough cough*
2:13 it’s been two years since I saw this clip. Inferno, dude I know this’ll sound stupid as all hell, but seriously thank you for being the number 1 reason as to why I still play dragons dogma to this day and even get to enjoy it’s (hopefully) soon sequel :)
You'll need a pawn to help you. Look for mine! Online ID is star_lord_crisis .... My pawn is Lunar Knight. She is a tank designed to lure enemies! Perfect for mages and sorcerers!
DO NOT PLAY THE ORIGINAL GAME. Play the rerelease called Dark Arisen. It comes with the dlc, which is great, but the most important part is that it fixes the price for the fast traveling items in the game. In the original they are so expensive it isn't worth using them so you have to literally run from one end of the map to the other all the fucking time. In DA you can fast travel whenever because it barely costs you anything. It was a huge complaint that they fixed and brings the game up from a 7 to an 9 all on it's own.
@@basketbomberslackingson4417 Min - Maxing: First ten levels Fighter(Physical) or Mage(Magick), then grinding levels 10 - 200 on Assassin(Physical) or Sorcerer(Magick). Of course, then you have to get the right gear as well, but that's the basic premise of it. Also, maybe just a 'touch' of conqueror's/demon's periapt and NG+.
@@Wolfsheim23 MHW is "similar" but imho it's not a good substitute. DD is open-world, while MHW cannot be described as such. The combat focuses on big-boi-monsters, but doesn't *feel* as epic to me. Maybe it's because it doesn't have the same epic soundtrack of DD, idk. I enjoyed the game, though. That being said, a DD sequel using MHW engine when? :>
I laughed several times watching this video. I love the game, and it was funny seeing the way you portrayed some things. I nearly stopped breathing from laughter when you brought in the Hammer Time song and the Skyrim music. Wonderfully made. I'm looking forward to more.
I was super lucky with the troll in the Everfall. It tried to tackle me, but I jumped onto him instead, and he charged off the cliff WITH ME ON IT! So, I jumped off in fear of falling to my death, and landed two stories down safely. It was amazing. Only in Dragon's Dogma can you do stuff like that!
You can also skip the everfall by using skull Spliter. Run towards the edge (do not jump), press and hold skull Spliter. Your Stryder will continue the move all the way down. It's a great move for speed runs.
So, I had a friend test it for me while I was in the field. He reported it did not work, but I am happy to say he was incorrect. He was not holding the move down throughout the fall. As of now on the XB1 the move works to void fall damage at any height both in BBI and normal game.
I came for the memes. Then I saw that opening of you diving onto a hand, jumping up, spinning off a horn and punching that thing in the eye. Now I'm just here for Dragon's Dogma and kind of want the game based on that alone.
U can’t even imagine some of the kickass shit I’ve pulled off in this game. The combat and movement make combinations and cool moves possible. Some Cyclopes have helmets on. I climb up their backs and get them to try swiping me off, I dodge it or jump off at the right time as they knock their own helmet off trying to hit me off them and jump straight into a power move right into that eyeball.
People coming about the lack of story DD has. Honestly the game has enough interactions between movement and actions that you can fully enjoy wandering around the sandbox environment without a care for objectives.
An evil cult that uses brainless followers to try and overthrow the world and bring equality and salvation through mass genocide? Yupp sounds like commies to me XD
Apparently Capcom are going to be announcing some games soon that have been highly requested for years. Most common guesses are Devil May Cry 5 and Dragons Dogma 2.
Let's just hope they follow the RE trend of making the next installment better, more refined and not the street fighter trend where each installment gets progressively worse...
You can't link twitter in the end screen. Nice youtube. twitter.com/Inferbro Also thankies to Patokia and Hoppie for helping me finish this bad boy up. I'm going to go into a coma now~
@@sir_fuckwit Magick archers can self-immolate for massive physical and fire damage to anything in melee range at the cost of your own HP over time. Combine this with the game's grappling system and...well...
I remember around the time when this game first came out and I spent probably 20 mins just throwing the Rook off the same cliff he did in the vid. Good times.
Galamere Howdy, sorry for the late reply. It did actually a while back, however it's more of an Online mmo than anything. I think it's Japanese only. And I don't know of the gameplay but I hear it's nother like the previous. Then again this was a few years ago and my memory is quite terrible.
i played dragon dogma online, its a microtransaction mess like every online japanese game, like you need premium for things that are stupid, it was quite fun but only with friends because the game just don't feel so good playing it alone, i think that it don't really worth it so much, and the re:zero collab was the shittiest thing they can do to that game, its still a solid gameplay game, but i the thing that you need premium for basic things just killed the game for me, and it is like that because its free, i would buy a game to play it online instead of playing that microtransaction hell
We're not talking about DDO. DD/DD:DA is a single-player RPG. The only online component is whoring your pawn out as a meatshield/healbot for other people.
Rapha The Kid Doubt they'll make a sequel, and considering what happened to MVCI and what other companies did to their games (SW battlefront 2, Metal Gear, etc.) I'm glad they won't, least until people get it together.
Throwing the burning corpse at salomet was just so freaking good... The combat in this game is magnificent. Dragon's dogma and kingdoms of amalur are 2 games that I always keep going back to because no other RPGs have combat that even comes close to those 2 games. Even though they are fairly old games from 3 generations ago no other game has been able to achieve that level of satisfaction in the combat department.
I played DragonsDogma for so long and got so bored i dedicated an entire playthrough with no weapons. Just kicks and punches. Jesus this game is such a hidden gem 👌😩😂
+Cheech Whit enemies/char design in this game looks awful, and combat is stupid as well, if jt was more like MH or Souls games I'd have bought it immediately
@@wallacesousuke1433 I dunno man, the ability to climb on monsters is an amazing feature. Tho I do agree with the designs. But honestly I hate the MH weapon/character designs more. Tho' I still loved MH W. They could've just made it like Dark Souls with combat, but I'm glad they didn't. The combat in this game is a gem, and Dark Souls already does it's own form of combat to perfection.
+Nachos TV ok I take back the bit where I claim Dragons Dogma combat looks awful, I shoulda said it is not my cup of tea because it is hack n slash, I fell in love with more methodical combat from Soulsborne, Monster Hunter and Nioh xD Weapon design in MH is ugly indeed, prefer weapon design from DS, that said, the movesets from MH weapons are amazing, I currently main the LS and its movesets are so cool and highly technical . Dragons is great on its own accord, but if I could have it made according to my liking, it would have the char and weapon design from DS/Bloodborne, as well as humanoid fights and the Monster/Dragon design and movesets from MH games.
@@wallacesousuke1433 It's like DS meets MH, but more gay (though i love the power fantasy aspect of just dunking on big enemies with sorcerer or warrior)
Just found this in 2021 and this is *GOLDEN* 😂💯 Such a great video and so many details for the memes!! Great job!! They say end of 2022 or beginning 2023 they will make a sequel, so let's hope so! 🤞🏾
I can't remember the last time I saw something so perfect as that one hit griffin kill at 2:14. Gandalf wishes he could "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" that hard.
given how good dragon's dogma was in its first game, id agree if they made a fully fleshed out sequel. dogma has one of the funnest and most fleshed out combat systems of any action rpg. even with how stupid and shitty the story was, and the graphics being meh at best, i replayed it almost as much if not more than dark souls cause of how stupid fun the various builds were. and anyone whos played Dogma has to agree that this game bar none has the funnest fucking mage class ever
I mean it has some SERIOUS issues, but the combat is fantastic. A co-op Dragon's Dogma 2 with a decent story would be an instant masterpiece. masterwork.
*THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG* Dragons Dogma was never really intended to have a great story, they really just put all their chips on gameplay, and god it worked.
I freaking love that you can make the Gazer in Bitterblack Isle punch itself in the eye with it’s own tentacle. Despite that it makes the fight a cakewalk, it’s still insanely hilarious to watch!
I'd like to come back here after a few years playing DD and revisit the video that inspired me to get this wonderful goddamm game. Thank you funny internet person.
Bryan Siders Getting insane amounts of damage depends on your vocation. For example, if you're playing Mystic Knight you want a large amount of time as an assassin and as a Sorcerer, you also want to use your class' most OP skills
2020; sat here playing Dragon's Dogma on Switch while I wait for Animal Crossing to come out or the coronavirus to end me. This remains the best Dragon's Dogma video on the interwebz.
Well beside Ur dragon, there is one boss u cant one shot, but that boss can one shot you no matter how much hp and defence u have. And that boss is Grim Reaper in Dark Arisen ;)
Nah hes a push over bait him over the water fall ledge and wait til he does his lantern attack back up and spam him with blast arrows easy peasy that my friend is exp in the bank he should fall to his death, i think you meant gravity as it one shots u cant be killed and strikes when you least expect it
