I think he used Health Seal. It seals your health at it's usual amount even for 1-health battles and is SUPER GOOD. But you have to play through so many missions to get it.

There is a seal item you can put on to set your health to normal for these fights. Check online where to get it if you have to. There's a toggle while you are over the fight to see what number seal you need.

You get an item called Seal Health (something like that) from galaxy mode, then you equip that item to the character and you start with normal health

chaospunishment THANK YOU SO MUCH CHAOS I RAGE QUIT IN THIS ANDROID LVL but im kinda good at it now but im not near as good as you are at fighting what I do is I fly up before battle and charge up hopping he wont come at me and go super vegeta and then I use the homing dash punch stun thing and final flash that btch and I repeat the cycle until ANDROID FCKING 18 SCREWS EVERYTHING IN ONE GODDAMN KI BLAST also super explosive wave is SO useful good damage and more

You get a near death seal from somewhere. I can't think at the moment. It might be somewhere on the Internet. The number has to match the one in the fight.
