I had the strange pleasure of petting a dragonfly while he rested on the side of my grandmother's house recently. He even moved one of his wings upward and turned sideways as if he were saying "pet me here." Must be wonderful to actually have one as a pet!
Today I found a little dragonfly drowning in water bucket I took it out It was completely wet I thought it was dead but luckily I found that it's legs are moving little bit so I holded it in my hand and gave it some warm air. It stayed nearly 16 minutes in my hands I thought I can make it as my friend but as soon as it dried it flyed away I was little sad but later I said myself that let it enjoy its life and it was one of the most beautiful moment of my life
Good for you they eat mosquitoes and you all know how much we hate mosquitoes and if you have a party or barbecue at your house they'll be all you can eat Buffett Which flies
Hello I had a bright green metallic dragonfly land on the tip of my finger about three years ago, there was also a purple one flying around with it in my garden here in West Cork, Ireland,, then the following year, I saw a metallic gold dragonfly in the rose bush in my garden,,, after the early morning rain I went over to investigate,, and it had droplets of dew all over it's golden wings so beautiful,,, when I got closer though it took flight,,, I was so amazed to see the metallic green one land on my finger,,, will never forget that experience,,, that was even the very first time I had ever seen a dragonfly,,, in all says yes there are very beautiful creatures ,and like all insets and creatures should be respected, in all ways , as some are not, we have such beauty around us every day,
Your English was fine!! I can only imagine how much you would laugh if an English speaker tried to speak Russian. Dragonflies are one of my favorite insects!! Two days ago a dragonfly flew into my mother’s room and then it flew and kept hitting the room then I got scared and ran out I named it Dragony he’s just sitting on top of my air conditioner now

Sorry for the inconvenience but it won't be eating raw mea pieces unless it came out of a live bug dragonflies eat bugs and nothing else and don't give it a dead bug it's not going to eat that either in order to keep a dragonfly as a pet you have to keep it in something a lot bigger than a glass jar because they need a lot of space to chase their prey while flying so unless you want to release flies in your house and then the dragonfly no dragonfly for you

+KnowItAllElite but some animals depend on those and dragon flies eat misquitos so they will die and other animals need dragon flies which means that they will die which means others will die too :1
Today, I found a dragonfly lying in my bedroom. Thought it was dead, but turns out it was maybe exhausted from the heat wave. It can still move but it can't fly. How do I take care of it?
Leon Bass I have a pretty small pond in my garden, this year I have seen 2 different ones flying around the pond allready, really amazing to watch them but I'm very carefull around them though, they are very big and pack a painfull bite! In the past I've also seen dragonfly nymph's in the pond, even the nymphs have a very strong bite (I know that because I was so dumb to touch it ;) )
My driver used to catch them from the wing and tie a rope in their tails and told me to old the rope and give it “walks” around the backyard I loved it!
Insects don't have nerves in their wings just like you don't have nerves in your hair If you cut the wing, the dragonfly won't feel it but if you cut it at the connection point where it meets the thorax then it will hurt
