Not quite. Dragonforce still make quality music with effort put into the composition and lyrics, saving most of their goofiness for their cover songs and music videos. Alestorm just seem like they're trying too hard to make The Next Viral Hit (C).

There are several ways to make fun of metal. One is their previous style of flat out playing glam metal bands with their skill. The other way is to make fun of glam metal bands with a similar level of musical difficulty yet still making superior music. Thats the beauty of the power metal genera and dragon force is so good at what they do. Just before i get called a hater, im a huge motely crew fan, kiss, van hallen, guns and roses, all the greats. I hugely respect and enjoy dragon force, especially Herman, hes a funny dude
