That would have to also include “Dragons”, “Dragonkind”, and “Dragonlords”... otherwise you’d only take 2 shots and it wouldn’t be much of a challenge ;) Edit: I know what you meant, please no one get offended it was a joke
DRAGONS ARE AWESOME : A MAGIC THE GATHERING EXPANSION Seriously, I really gotta applaud Wizards for giving Sarkhan and dragons tribe so much love. Ur-Dragon EDH players will have had many awesome upgrades, all with dragons in EVERY COLOR! I even built a dragon deck myself, albeit 2-color with Kolaghan, The Storm's Fury at the helm. It's not the best, but it is just so awesome to play huge, epic dragons, whether you win or not.
I just realized, Sarkhan must love it so much on Tarkir now, he is TRULY home.. I doubt he will EVER leave.. :( Awesome trailer, way better than the KTK one.
your best trailer from a technical standpoint so far. props to the team behind it. Writing I would say has been better in some trailer in the past, but I wouldn't say this was bad here. I just think there has been at least one trailer which had me grabbed more by its narration.
SHOTENacity Hmmm, I am really torn between Avacyn Restored and Jourrney into nyx. Avacyn restored had that wonderful feeling of glorious victory, but Journey into nyx was the one that best conveyed emotion and had that sense of sorrow and foreboding permeating it. Hmm....nope, in the end Journey into nyx wins :D
i really disliked the theros block and i was so hyped for it. avacyn wa sa fun ride through and through. and the trailers in INN-DKA-AVR just reemed with desperation for survival and then AVR was possible hope and a grand turnabout. opinions man, how do they work?
+Njzeo I was pissed that Sarkhan royally fucked up the Jeskai, the Abzan and specially the Temur with his time travelling shenanigans... but then Wizards released the story about Surrak punching a dragon to death and everything made sense.
the set that was truly all about dragons. I loved it! I completely missed it but have managed to get some singles. I love atarka design. She is beautiful
Dang, this was a really good trailer, guys! I've been excited for months about this set just because of the name, and I can tell I won't be dissapointed from the spoilers so far. Good Job team!
OH I love the trailer first time I've watched any trailers (first was for Eldritch Moon on your page) and Dragons Of Tarkir is my favorite set and I love the trailer! It was released on my adopted mom's Business Partner's birthday last year
"adopted mom's business partner" Okay. I'm glad it wasn't released on your uncle's friend's daughter's favourite youtuber's brother's mailman's birthday.
I got so excited when i saw this trailer! Dragons of Tarkir is quite the end for the set of Tarkir. Pretty nice thing they did to the story, i wonder if this will affect other planes too
Just occurred to me, this is one of the few successful time-travel plots in Magic's history. Normally it all goes horribly wrong and explodes (literally) in everyone's face. There's a rumor running around, "The Brothers War will be a time travel set". Sarkhan shows it's possible, is another Great Retconn incoming? I don't think so, but WOTC has a history of baffling decisions.
I LOVE my dragons I fly with Dragonlord Kolaghan SHE reigns my EDH/Commander deck strongly! Dragons Of Tarkir was the first pack of Magic that I remember opening back in late October 2015 when I got into Magic
I will never forgive Sarkhan for ruining such a cool and interesting world and turning it into just more dragons (who are a parasite on the world considering they only exist on Tarkir because of Ugin)
@@DragonProtector and that's why they get shoehorned onto every plane regardless of if it makes sense. We couldn't have ONE world where the lack of dragons was a defining feature?
@@anthonydelfino6171 in my eyes nope. Not unless 2 different worlds happen at the same time and we choose our side. Then some portal opens up and we fight to protect what we want in mtg duels!
Yo MTG, WOTC. This was the most ballin trailer you have ever made. I will even go as far to say it is ABAP. As Ballin As Possible I hope to see more like this in the future.
I only have one real complaint about what's been spoiled so far in this set. In Khans, the focus was on the 3 colored wedges. But in Dragons, it seems like it's all been focused on the allied dual colors from those wedges. Why nothing for the enemy dual colors?
Because during the design process they wanted to create two different draft environments that didn't play well together, but both involved the middle set of the block. The only way to do that while having Khans as a wedge set AND giving the Dragons clans a unique mechanical-color identity was to center the Khans clans around one of their allied colors and then drop the enemy colors entirely in Dragons. If they had instead done the obvious and centered the clans in Khans around the enemy color, then each Khans clan would consist of the colors of 2 separate Dragons clans.
Dragons of Tarkir is my new life. Mythic Spoiler taught me that. When I read those cards. . . I cried. I'm coming for you pre-release. >:) LETS DO THIS!!! FOR DRAGONS!!!!!!!
The trailer is way better than any before, but the set does seem weak in value so far. The trailer does hint at a new Ugin, though. Also, BATTLE FOR ZENDIKAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Lewis Toroian Silumgar was to busy with killing a few people. He did however give me a note to hand over to the other dragon lords saying that he was at an event
its pretty great and when we do go back the dragon lords will fall and the clans will rise again. as with no new dragons being born on the whole plane they will begin to die off.
Watching this trailer again after @Spice8Rack video on Tarkir really puts the history, people, cultures, and overall story of the this set and the wider Tarkir block in a different context…highly recommend the watch btw (although it is a 4+ hour vid) and I’m still hoping the return to this incredible plane is equally fantastic!
I do usually enjoy these trailers and I did enjoy this one. I feel it is a great improvement over Khans of Tarkir but the videos have left their previous feel. Before the card art was moved and expanded on--not overlapped by CGI and I feel that they are superior to the newer trailers. This is especially evident when compared to Innistrad and Dark Ascension.
You guys went up the Game! You do full 3D animations now too? Keep it up, they keep getting better and better, I think this makes anyone get hooked to the game! :D
Anyone who seen the Khans of Tarkir trailer notice the blue stripe Sarkhan has now? Like near the beginning, where he was narrating how Tarkir was ruled by the Khans.
quick question...What happened to Sorin? He was on Tarkir during the KTK timeline, now that its the DTK timeline we don't know if Sorin left Tarkir before it all changed
RAIDgames21 Sorin went to Tarkir to see where Ugin was, because in both timelines he was inactive- one timeline being dead, one healing in a hedron crucible.
I started playing in ixilan block. I'm sad I didn't play sooner and missed out on so many badass planes. I know if we go back they won't be the same, the power levels will be nerf it just won't be the same.
If Ugin didn't die, then he would've been there to stop the eldrazi from rising. If the eldrazi didn't rise, then Kiora wouldn't be in Theros to fight Elspeth.* This changes a LOT about the storyline. My prediction: Next block we'll see the effects that this has on the events that took place in the Zendikar block. *(Kiora's reason for being in Theros was to find Krakens and such with which to fight the eldrazi)
No Ugin was alive but healing the entire time. He could not change anything in the multiverse as he was sealed in the hedron thing. So the broader story line is unchanged but Ugin is back, and Tarkir is different.
He was in one of the opening shots, when they used the art for Polluted Delta. Those were his bones strewn across the land in the Khans timeline when Silmungar was dead.
+Clint Casey Does that mean that for every one of those dual lands that had the dragon bones(Bloodstained Mire, Flooded Strands, Polluted Delta, Windswept Heath, and Wooded Foothills) contain the ancient dragonlords' Ojutai, Silumgar, Dromoka, Atarka, and Kolaghans' remains?
