Is it the professor in the center of this routine ? I ask because if he is, he's very ... a guy who just look at himself instead of let the students dance.. It's very boring to see that on this video.. But maybe i'm wrong, sorry for that.. I'm a teacher too, i always try to let the students be the "people to "be looked" by audience..
+guillaume renauld : This is Dexter, I'm the teacher who taught this routine and the one dancing at the center. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion. There are many reasons on why the teacher would join the students in a routine he/she taught. For this particular performance, I joined the students so that they could use me as a guide for the movements (in case they forget or get lost in the routine). Also, I'm joining them here for moral and motivational support and leading them in this fun dance. I also give them their time in the spotlight by going in the background during the "free" solo part and dancing with them. Solo dancing in front of an audience can be intimidating as it is, especially if they just learned a routine earlier that afternoon with not much time to practice after class. Lastly, I'm in this routine because the students wanted me to join them. Believe me when I say that I don't do this for self-serving or vanity purposes.
