Ik this is old but let me tell you. In the south chinese restaurants are the dirtiest places on earth. We've gone in for a grease trap and theyll have raw meat uncovered in the open the whole time we are there
amh75ify We always recommend it obviously but it’s on the restaurant owner.. all we can do it hope and pray that they do the right thing by there customers! 👍
I dont care how much plastic wrap they used on the food sitting on the counters, you do not let it sit at room temperature and possible exposure. One drop of any of that filth on the wrap itself should be discarded. That whole kitchen should have to be sanitized afterwards. Also ,just like when children look abused they have to be reported to the authorities.,kitchens like this should be turned in to the Board of Health to monitor proper clean up.
All restaurants are like that, I have done many renovations and repair after hours while the restaurant is closed at all different types of restaurant and they all are dirty.
William Ferguson I can already smell the greasy window score card reading 1.5/100 😂😂 oh wait, i forgot they power wash and incinerate the kitchen every 6 months to pretend they know hygiene.
We typically use 5/16” on all small drains from 1-1/2” to 3”… the 1/4” we break out for smaller drains that have tighter turns and the 3/8” cable if it’s thick in 2”-3” pipe
One question. What did you use to clean the grease out of your trousers! Are they uniform or something, you seem to be wearing them all the time. Very smart, but somewhat impractical with Grease, Gunk & bodily goo ......
Yeah I typically were the canvas style pants on the days where I know I’m going to be down grease traps. They are a little thicker and hold up the best, if I used the regular work pants or jeans when the grease gets on them they stain. 👍
why does the sewage goes back down the grease trap? wont they clog back up? why isnt the sewage and grease sucked out? i would imagine emptying it. then some hot water jet or smthing would clean this up entirely and prevent future clogs for years.
Oh please...you should’ve seen my folks old Chinese restaurant....the whole surface was hard that we have to use a shovel to break the surface into chunks than break it into smaller chunks to throw it into the trash than drain it.
Yeah S H we deal with these grease traps on a daily basis so most of the popular ones we have a good understanding of exactly how to clean the drains on them just by feel! 👍
I was thinking he should dunk the bit in some of that greasy water. It would provide awesome cooling and lubrication. Ill bet it would better than coolcut 😆
Yes I do, and in our area it’s city testing so the company really isn’t involved. As long as I work under a master plumber for 5 years learning and then 1 year as a journeymen I’m eligible to take my masters test. I took mine 3 years ago 👍
@@DrainPros Did they help you find a master plumber or did you have to do that on your own Im just curious because im trying to get into plumbing but dont know anyone in the trade.
worlds best Our owner was a master plumber so we it was spent under his license.. I would recommend calling the board responsible for the test in your area so that you know what the requirements you will need, and then go to a plumbing supply house to find out who they recommend you apply to with the credentials!
Definitely! Seems like a circle of life, I get it looking great for a while and then a few big jobs that end late in the day and I don’t get to clean it up and then all he’ll breaks loose 👍 hate working out of a dirty van or job site, wish I were better about keeping up on it definitely not my best quality!
Pheurbel VLS Yeah grease is always worse! it’s the rotting smell that stays with you all days, even when you know it’s not in the air anymore it’s a mental smell 🤮
I clean grease traps and do line maintenance for a living. Grease does tend to smell more. It depends on the type of trap and what is going through as well. Some are worse than others.
Cleaning up their shit while they still have all the food out in the kitchen. Well I sure know why I hesitate to eat in such small Chinese restaurants. 😂
Schatze Manly haha Yeah that one was smoked! Was working out of another guys van that day so didn’t have all the right tools, New uni bit would have zipped right through that!!
Gaming pro ttv We got it open that night but went back the next day to use a new step drill big making the hole more accessible to cable out with a bigger cable. I was pretty sure that the cable we used only put a hole in the grease and would clog in the future! Haven’t had any problems with it since using the bigger cable! 👍
We couldn’t access the outlet pipe leaving the grease trap, so we had to drill into the baffle top to cable the pipe. Usually on a grease trap like this they will install a clean out on the pipe after the grease trap so you can cable out during future clogs👍
Acheter lui une bonne mèche et un rangement de camionette ne serait pas de trop. Pro??? Je peux lui montrer une camionette ranger et des mèches qui coupent...
Something you really don’t want to see - the kitchen of a small restaurant with very cheap meals, and you suddenly realise why it is so cheap. Grease - any sewer’s and sewer company’s worst nightmare.
if you know how much work goes into western chinese food and why its so greasy because majority of fast food eaters want deep fried food. if people knew what real chinese cooking is like, especially the very healthy ones, the grease trap probably wont even look like that. Thats wishful thinking though. Pretty sure all fast food restaurants are disgusting as hell
Drain Pros My man, A hammer drill only works on concrete with a concrete drill bit. Using your step bet on hammer setting probably lead to it’s quick death. It’s all good, Great videos. 👍
