Sorry Im just saying you did it wrong. I know you didnt want to hurt yourself but you should have cut deeper into the cyst with short drags. But you cut just above the skin in a longer drag causing you to just bleed instead of getting the real problem.
@jlazell you are telling me a small ingrown hair can cause that fuck i get them all the time and just pluck them out. but i know how to clean wounds and such.
the reason nothing is coming out is because it is cellulitis; infection and inflammation in an area of tissue...not one, huge cyst with a core of pus or something. One should NOT have cut into an infected limb, at home, and treat this yourself. You need antibiotics and professional care.
Should have done it on plastic sheeting. Prevents spots of blood on the carpet. I am impressed that the infected person was able to reach such an awkward part of his body. Camera work was very good. I'd give this vid 8/10.
if u have insurance, GO TO THE DR, if you dont he insurance GO TO THE DR or ER, shesh, why would you do this yourself with the risk of infection that goes along with this, i dont care how may gloves you have on.
Never do this again without medical aid. Perfect reason is cutting on your calf without drawing the surgical lines and prepping. You can hit an artery, blood clot cause or tendon damage by your incision and depth.
Well, the only thing the doctor could have done for him was give local anesthetic and a prescription for antibiotics. Worth going to the doc for that. Plus, if you have a cyst caused by MSRA, you're going to need the doctor before it gets too bad. If you're seeing lots of blood in the pus, MSRA is more likely.
@lifeblood67 So it's impossible for the lay man to determine infection? Redness, warmth, swelling... Rob here is a certified EMT, he researched how to perform the procedure and take care of it after and felt comfortable doing it himself. And he DID go to the Dr. afterward, he told him he did a good job on himself.
The best thing to do with an infection that bad is to keep circulation good so blood doesn't come out like it did and clog up. Also, Keep a nice thing of rubbing alcohol around so you can sanitize the needle you used. This here swell may have occured of lack of blood flow or clog of blood and bad circulation.
you went through all the trouble settn up a clean area and the gloves but then you went a rubd ur dirty hand across the back of ur jean shorts....................thats right I seen it!!!!
"There's so many videos on here of people draining abscesses without wearing gloves or sterilizing the area or knife/scalpel/needle/scissors." And so many people that never seek medical attention when they should.
wow EMT?? not working on me, Sterile What and for how long, bath towel, Paper towels he touched after pus, sterile scaple he cleaned with said paper towels, Get to a Doctor
