"Bitch, where you when I was walkin'?" Kendrick releases Training Day mixtape, his first with Top Dog on December 30, 2005. At that same time Drake was playing the character Jimmy on Degrassi who was in a wheel chair after being shot.
What was epic about the ghostwriting bars was that it happened before the Drake/meek beef... before the reference tracks and before Meek exposed that Drake didn't write his R.i.c.o verse... but all these things still happened in the same year which shows that Kendrick most likely knew months before the public knew.
@@martyc909 it'd be interesting to find out how he knew/found out. "I swore I wouldn't tell" sound like Drake personally told him or someone close to him.
@@JonathanIsrael708 or Drake asked him to write something. This was still close enough to their relationship, that their tour was 3 years earlier and they still talked 2 years earlier. One of the TDE guys said Dot respected Drake until he found out how OVO worked and he said Dot lost respect for Drake.
Because Drake really has leaks in his camp. That's how Kendrick knew to make and have meet the Graham's read right after family matters. It was like 15 minutes "dear Aubrey you're probably thinking I wanted to crash your party" he literally walked the whole beef out on euphoria "you're predictable I can even predict your angle. Exaggerating on the family front because you heard Mr. Moral" he knew everything and told drake he did. He let his ego walk him in to something he can't get out of
It’s funny listening back on their discography & realizing they been dissing this whole time. Kendrick really doesn’t waste words. He started off the record w “I got a bone to pick” & everybody thought nothing of it
You have to listen to the album in totality because there is an even deeper meaning to this track that you will only get listening to the whole story. King Kunta is an oxymoron. Kendrick has a false sense of bravado. Hes going back to the hood to flex not realizing he's still falling into the trap set for him. This is why I love Kendrick
This has been my favorite Kendrick song for years, it's my number one gym song. Seeing the kendrick come up these last few months has been a beautiful sight.
Ironically, the "I was gonna kill a couple rappers but they did it to themselves" bar could apply to J cole now in retrospect because of what J. cole did after dropping 7 minute drill... but you're right that at the time "king Kunta" was released it was really a Drake diss.. but this just feeds into the possibility that Kendrick is lowkey a prophet the way his bars age well and make more sense as time goes on.
@@KingOfSelf91 Man! I hope not! If so throw the whole video away. I think they more so taking the momentum of the battle and Kendrick to run them views up!
As a longgggtime kdot fan, this track was one of the first times I really sat and thought "damn I feel like he's talking about drake" after that ghost writer bar lmaoo so crazy to see the way things have evolved in 2024. 🤣 also if y'all are going back to some kdot tracks w/ amazing music videos, I'm still addicted to 'Alright' and 'Element' and 'These Walls'. Literally never get tired. PLUS as just tracks with no video? Untitled 2 & Untitled 7. 🤤🔥🔥🔥 Would love to see y'all react!!
great video to react to, loving your channel man, always good content. you should check out the track 'Lavish' from twenty one pilots new album, super fun and creative video poking fun of the industry.
have a line when he said he could shoot at your identity like he could reveal some stuff but he's going to keep it to himself for now it's like even back then he was selling Drake that he knew some things and that he needed to shut up and stick to his melodies and stop trying to be a gangster and still didn't get the hint is jealousy an envy I believe he wanted to be Kendrick so much Drake forgot what is truth was smh
@supabadd1233 no this not my first time hearing king Kunta. I can’t remember if I was Living In Texas or Kansas at the time it was released I’m back on the east coast and It’s just great music.
I like that James Brown beat KDOT is smart and the GOAT that's what got Drake boxers in a bunch he know he can't win up against Kdot hegone keep trying until the real sermon will be read at the last will reading real talk 😂😂🎉🎉
