This is a hidden gem. I can't believe how much I adore this song, it's so deep and powerful and amazing. Hats off to you Drake Bell, you deserve every bit of stardom ❤
My friends in Coyote Theory and I basically copied this exact video idea because of how beautiful and artistic it is. We did this idea for a song called "This Side Of Paradise," which just went certified Gold last year. I am very thankful to have been inspired by something so great, but simultaneously regretful to have essentially ripped off such a great and original idea without at least putting my own spin on it!
I love this guy. I literally adore him. I watched D&J with my little sister from 2004-2007. I've been a fan of this guy since early 2004 and I can't believe in less than a month, it will be 10 years since I first watched him. Time flies #drakebellalltheway
I don't think many people realize how brilliant and profound his music is. Like this song is explaining how fame can consume you and change you to make you something that you're not. It's about selling your soul for the spotlight. While everyone loves the cover story of you, no knows the real you. Pretty soon you get wrapped up in the praise you receive until you realize that they aren't applauding the real you. Just the creature hollywood created. That's why I love Drake Bell's music. :)
Strange how things can change. How your consciousness can fade. Reason can't compete with the drug that shares your name. And there you are on cue when the light falls. Waving at strangers, wearing your name out. You are not yourself here, you are someone else dear. Aren't you terrific? Aren't you terrific now? All the world applauds to the popular tricks you choose. Who are they to stop, when your hands are clapping too? And you believe that it's an achievement. Scratching them where they have no feeling. You are not yourself here, you are someone else dear. Aren't you terrific? Aren't you terrific now? It was you. Who spoke out when no one heard. Oh, yeah. You're not as pure as you were, vanity hangs you by threads. And right now I wish some things were undone. It's as natural as it is fun. This is not the time to give up yourself to anyone. You are not yourself here, you are someone else dear. Aren't you terrific? Aren't you terrific? If you saw yourself dear, you would be amazed dear. Aren't you terrific? Finally terrific now?
"And right now I wish some things we undone, it's as natural as it is fun, this is not the time to give up yourself to anyone" I heard this song back in 2012 and I still listen to it, it's sad he didn't keep on growing as a singer but hes a good song writer
No puedo creer que esta canción tenga 8 años, recuerdo que cuando la escuche por primera vez , estaba emocionada porque Drake sacaba algo nuevo despues de un tiempo, ahora es mas conocido y la gente lo apoya mas , al menos en México
Still after all of these years one of my favorite songs ever. Not just of Drake Bell's, but of all artists, definitely a top 10 on my list. Thank you Drake❤
Drake deserves better! Let’s stream more his old music so he sees how much we love his work, I miss this Drake but I understand why he changed his music genre, bills has to be paid!
This reminds me when I was 14 and I fell in love SO MUCH. Just a passionate guy who pretends the world doesn´t understands him. When I felt bad this song was there and sounds over and over. Great treasure.
godd, am 22, but i still remember watching drake and josh, those days were golden , i still have all the seasons on my computer, as i get older, those seasons will get priceless
I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying this. There's a very Lennon-esque feel in the vocals and style, and I'm glad to see him branching out a bit. He's got skill, which is a rare thing these days.
