The 2010-2011 drake era was something different. Tons of throw away tracks that never made it to Take Care. Club paradise, dreams money can buy gotta be top 5 Drizzy songs ever.
I just shed a tear. Not because I'm in my feelings, but because Club Paradise is such a wonderful work of art. I remember first listening to it over 10 years ago, and it still sounds magical.
100% I was just thinking the same.. came on randomly while I’m driving home from work at 3:50am nostalgia started hitting wanna listen to the whole album now
When you let that beat ride out at the end of hate sleeping alone, especially when you driving at night on the freeway, it's a vibe. I can't explain it any other way, incredible
I love these songs. That transition. Start of my last semester of college (earlier this year) I was alone in my apartment by myself for about 4-5 days before my roomates moves in. I would post up in my living room, bought a bottle of wine. I set up LED lights in my living room, cleaned it all up, poured out some wine and put this song on as it snowed outside. All by myself just reminiscing on life, thinking about women, thinking about where I was gonna go in the next few years of my life. Took some photos on a tripod of me chilling and my living space that i carefully decorated and cleaned up. First instance of me feeling a strong “sense of self” looking at those photos now. God I miss those somber nights. This song still hits. I would get so lonely, wrestling with the fact I had no women over and it was me alone. I didn’t know how to cope with being by myself. That bottle of wine did me good. When that transition to I hate sleeping alone hit, all that anxiety left and I dreamed about better days. All that to say… I really am caught up in where I am now.
Before we had apple music and Spotify drake had us running to RU-vid for those throw away songs 🥺🥺 lol remember when ppl use to gate keep those youtube drake songs
I never thought I’d be able to relate to these songs until I left home and started living on the other side of the country. It’s like every time I come home things are completely different and the people are warm but when I leave I’m “Hollywood” and “acting different”. Idk maybe I’m crazy
people from your home town always love to hate for some reason. when ur on ur come up they’ll want you to stay where you are instead of growing. people will support you elsewhere. just stay true yourself and you’ll attract real people
14 years listening to his music. This year finally got the opportunity to see him perform live at Lollapalooza Chile 2023... This are 2 songs i would've love to see him perform live. Long life to OVO
Drake deserves more than yall ever imagine. Just for surviving all dis heartbreak and continued to make more music. Me and other hard working artists need to understand and respect themselves more because that love shit can end anytime, but music wont. Stay alive, keep creatin 🙏
Best Hybrid singing rapping azz dude in history. He really gets in his emotions then will hit me some “street” shiit. 😂 Can’t help but think of Russ in Gladiator every time i hear drake “Are you Not Entertained?”
@@lilslick2440 Sounds good man, I only know the very popular stuff of that time, the north american hip hop scene wasn't that popular and accessible in europe ten years ago.
This album gives me flashbacks back to 2012 remembering old times the come along with these songs definitely helped me push thru some dark time in my life
Where can I find more music with this mood? This song, along with "Houstatlantavegas" and "Hate Sleeping Alone" really stand out to me in Drake's catalogue. I know this music is technically R/B, but where can I find more R/B that sounds like THIS? With melodic, nostalgic synths playing in minor key. Everyone here is saying that this song fits the night perfectly, and that's exactly the vibe I'm trying to explain here. I have very limited hip hop and R/B experience. Please tell me where I can find more music that gives me this feeling.
not you too by drake gon have you levitating (The synth is immaculate, you just gotta wait for it) The resistance is also a good one with synth, Paris Morton music also hit
Si son historias an sido reales por no ponerle actencion nuestras Vida acabamos por Los suelos del inferno y nunca encontramos ese Paraiso del que tanto menciona la jente que lo invento
