@@J.C.3 real talk. Sad thing is Story of Adidon is mad boring as both a song and a diss. Pusha won simply because of the reveal and if not for it he probably gets bodied lyrically
@@nickbrowne96one thing that people over hype is they’ll say that pusha T broke Drake down psychologically with talking about his family upbringing and stuff. But they fail to think that maybe Drake just wants to be lit because he’s the most famous rapper. They assume that Drake is battling demons when he could be contempt with his life and enjoying it. The public perception overshadows reality when people discuss Drake
@@khalilwilson2586 anyone saying Pusha broke him down psychologically is a moron and I'd challenge them to go back and listen to that song. Like I said, dude only won the beef because of the son reveal. I kind of hate defending Drake in these beefs because I'm really not a massive Drake fan. I like when he's actually rapping and you can tell he works on his pen game, but I ignore the vast majority of his music. But anyone saying he can't rap is crazy and I'll stand by that he had way better bars, flows, and overall songs than Kendrick.
Steelers Football but how tho? Kendrick has been of the radar for a while now.. if you’re referring to his “DAMN” album then I gotta disagree because although it’s not his best album, it still has great songs and he sticks to his same style unlike most artist switching it up to appeal to the masses
Steelers Football man idk I don’t really think they’re mainstream. I just think he was expanding on his other shit. Loyalty was a melodic type track because he had riri on it but the black panther soundtracks were for a movie so you can’t really say anything and plus there was some west coast sounds all over the project. Maybe I’m tripping but I get your point on some of the tracks but overall he’s been solid
Lost in Vegas nailed this reaction! Drake aimed more at Ye than Push but still great diss track. The ghostwriting, Pushas hits goin at Aubrey directly, nailed it all. Well done guys. Def Two greats Push and Drake. Daytona album and Infared are 🔥 too!
How so the only think he said about ye was about him writing for him the virgil thing and mentioning him for the invoice. He came a push about coming after him for the ghost writing allegations. How he wasn't doing what he wasn't rapinng about. Mentioned his brother no malice. Told him he not multi million. Said that hes running behind ye and he's older than him. The mentioned his wife. This was straight a pusha diss with some kanye on the side
Its actually sad for Drake. I believe Drake will be *one of* the greatest rappers of all time. The guy has talent and always makes an effort to show it. But this ghostwriting thing will haunt him forever.
Charles lenoir No matter how underrated he could be, he doesn't have the talent as a rapper that a lot of lesser rappers have. He's no Pusha T, Krit, Gibbs, Mick Jenkins, Doom, Kendrick, Black Thought...I can go on for years He's the Mcdonalds of Hip-Hop, everyone goes there but no one will say that it's quality
whyaskmenoely25 Especially back in his early days. He’s so popular now that no one but OG fans remember his conscious music. Stuff like fear, lord knows, entire comeback season album. I still think he’s one of the goats.
the first bar does hurt push, it makes push look like a hypocrite and letting it ride with Kanye because that was his label boss. U cant get at drake for "ghostwriting" and you know damn well Ye has had a team of writers on numerous songs. Those bars by drake were very chin rubbing.
BEST BREAKDOWN BY FARRRRR!! I am a HUGE hip hop head. So I have been debating with friends and millennials ALL weekend. But I agree wholeheartedly with this review. Drake won the War with the antics. But Pusha won the battle of Wits and Words. And I don't think Push will reply until the day Drake drop Scorpion next month. The SAME way Drake did Pusha on his album release date IMO. Could be wrong though. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK RYAN AND GEORGE...BEST REACTION CHANNEL ON THE NET!! #FreeThinking
catonic the newer generation doesn’t care as much because a lot of us don’t like to think deeply when listening to music. A lot of us want to feel. Which I feel is detrimental to us tho. Almost feel like we getting dumber and softer.
I have PLENTY of "millennials" as personal friends its ALL in fun. Just MY way of distinguishing 2 sides. As far as Drake having a BETTER PEN than Pusha. Is DAMN near LAUGHABLE!! It took Drake 4 YEARS to respond to Exodus 23:1 (go back and have a listen if you'd like...he was BODIED there TOO). Pusha WINS(apparently you WEREN'T paying attention to the review) BECAUSE his bars HAD STRAIGHT FACTS. Apparently by calling Ryan and George an OLD HEAD that you CLEARLY don't know this beef kicked off in 2001 WAYYYYY BEFORE Drake. Drake is trying to fight Waynes battle. Because Push exposed Young Money pay scale ALL those years back and Wayne STILL fucked up in the game. CAN'T retire...CAN'T get paid...and CAN'T drop the Carter 5!! Push called THAT back in 2012 WITH Exodus 23:1!!! Why wait SO LONG to respond Drake...and WHY NOW??? Pusha must have said something in InfaRed that got them singing musical panties in a BUNCH!! LOOK IT UP AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! #GoogleIsYaFriendBruh
Troy Wilmot Yeah fax bro.. duppy sounded like fire and no doubt it sounded better than the story of adidon. If you just want a song to vibe to then duppy is better. Pusha t’s song tho was great lyrically and was written better than duppy freestyle. My opinion tho
Damn respect to george... How did you understand that "Must have your infrared wrong " to "must have your info read wrong" daammmn....love from india... Great review
Mohit Garg man i have been listening to hiphop since many years....and i do understand this slicks shits....i missed this one thats was bugging me....anyways thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
I usually hate all these overhyped reaction videos but you guys have an unbiased opinion about things and bring constructive criticism for both sides. I appreciate that a lot.
I think we all need to understand that since Drake IS by far the biggest hip-hop/rap artist currently, people are going to poke at him for the ghostwriting situation way more than any other artist. That being said, I honestly don't even think he'll ever be able to "redeem" himself for it with future raps or projects because people are automatically going to assume he's still doing the same thing. Obviously we know his pure talent does have a lot to do with his success, but people are gonna ride the ghostwriting to the moon with him in particular.
Jaw Papi by “people” I’m just gonna assume you’re referring to the haters and the very few who really study hip hop. He has so many stans he can literally do no wrong.
"You're the spitting image of what jealousy breeds" That's a deep line, Kanye admitted that he doesn't like drake growing bigger than Kanye coz kanye helped drake alot on his first album, drake pointing out all of this is Kanye's move coz he jealous, that's hard man
"Why you comin at Drake with any less than a FULL CLIP? You gotta come with a FULL CLIP" >Pusha T drops The Story of Adidon. "He unloaded the full clip on him" X,D
xCaPz man they are not ready for that sh@t I just posted above that Joe slaughtered his ass and drake never responded..Drake pick and choose who to go at lyrically..
You guys hit the nail on the head on every point. I dont really have anything to add to it. Just a dope breakdown of the entire situation. You guys are the most awesome objective reviewers on the internet and I can't wait to see every video you put up. Drakes gonna have to work a LOT to lessen the smudge on his legacy. See ya on the next one.
First of all, you sound like a mad hater...I am a real hip hop fan and you keep harping on some old 💩.. stfu... you ain't giving drake credit...you just talkin 💩 foh.. drake will always been on top and that ghostwriting 💩 is not a mark on his career...I bet you can't get in the booth and do anything similar to drake... your sidekick is a turncoat, who change his view at the end...none of y'all stand on your word...that 💩 is not speculation... his brother said in the interview that PUSH wasn't movin no weight like that...check your facts hater...drake going be in this until he old and grey... the real reason your boy went after drake is becuz he jealous of him...check out Howard homecoming 2012 and how the fans went crazy over drake and push was sitting there wishing for the same reaction.. recognize hater
Drake winds up being the dude we thought his opposition was in these beefs. He's been the better battler, the aggressor, and the bully against people we'd expect to have bars ready for him. I can't believe he's turned Meek and Pusha into Nicki Minaj vs Remy, getting bullied by the dude whose supposedly the soft one. #Salute
Pusha definitely slang i used to live in norfolk he was known for it. Drake is referencing the malice interview on vlad. And in that interview malice said their cousin got them into the game yea, but then THEY were in the game. Not meaning “it was the cousin then them” like a confused dude changing facts just meaning thats the order of events lol
As far as disses go, Pusha beat Drake, no debate. In terms of lyricism Pusha didnt come close to Drake. Drake out barred Pusha 10 fold, but as far as battle rap/diss tracks go, the fact Pusha 'revealed' Drakes son will hold The Story of Adidon above Duppy Freestyle.
@@llc8508 Pusha won the beef because he was more disrespectful, you're right. Word play wise, its not even a competition mate, sorry. If you cant see how the word play in Duppy Freestyle was better than The Story Of Adidon then you're either blind or ignorant. 'The infared (info read) wrong' bar alone is miles above anything Pusha said.
@@sadebrits4763 So we agree? lol… what is your point? You literally just echoed my thoughts in my original post. Pusha won the diss because he was more disrespectful, Drake still out-barred him. Both can be true simultaneously buddy.
Respect! Drake knows that he has the pop crowd so he definitely plays into the strategic social media moves to get the W. But the hip hop heads know how much this actually effectives Drake. I kind of feel bad for him lol
Camillia change that M. to an L. Drake shoe shinning for a crowd while Pusha, knowing he's one of his idols is hurting drake's heart on some interpersonal shit.Shoe shinning vs shots to the liver? Shots to the liver>..
this was a better diss track the the story of adidon. better bars, better and more urgent beat, and points were made. Pushas best angle was drake parading around his Paps etc etc. other than that the ghostwriting angle was old, telling his business about his son is not an angle its just gossiping. this is a better song. better than Infrared as well
Josh Navarro - Lol at you. It's far from weak. It's one of the realist tracks ever written and was wrote when dave was only 17. You clearly are very unintelligent my G
One Word : Thanks! I didnt know the man and wow, punch in my face!! Hangman is pretty deep too (in the good way) sorry for my english im french. Thanks again for the discovery :)
Meek was kind of a genius when he said that shit about Drake having a ghostwriter. Everyone thinks drake won that feud but the ghostwriter thing was sneaky smart.
BOOM! idc Tv Meek definitely took the L initially but I still think War Pain was the best diss out of them all, Meek knew what he was doing when he mentioned the ghostwriting as now Drake will forever have that taint on his career and you can tell it irritates him
As a guy from the middle age white dude rock spectrum, nothing is worse than hiding the fact that someone else did the work for you. When the artists like the Monkees and Warrant were found out to use studio musicians to do the tracks and having to learn them before tour, that ended them as seriously considered artists. Drake will probably 'win' this battle because he has a big fan base who doesn't care much, but he's already lost because of the aura his actions caused. Great reactions. Glad to see you back!
1000% Drake hides. Pusha T and Kanye dont. That's why I will always respect them more. Go check the video descriptions Ye's youtube channel, rn. He lists every single individual that had a hand in production. Meanwhile Drake and 40 take all the glory. Like Pusha said "you are hiding a child; and I'm the liar? Another multiplatinum rapper, trapped, and cant retire". I suggest you listen to Infrared, on his album Daytona.
Pusha is an elite rapper as a popular artist not so much... if there wasn't pillow talking pusha wouldn't have knocked drake down and idk if drake was gone bit his ear off or not but he lost by forfeit
I can't deny that Drake makes good music. I never thought of him as a lyricist, even before I found out about the whole ghost rider situation. I like Pusha T., but to be honest he doesn't have the hits like Drake. Even if you add The Clipse albums. It all depends on the fan. Drake is good and he has some big hits, some huge hits. In mainstream Drake is probably the biggest right now. I agree with you guys, I like Pusha T. & Clipse more then I like Drake. But I gained alot of respect for Drake, in how fast he responded. I also think Drake's responding diss track is better then Pusha T's. Pusha's was good, but just not enough to come at Drake. Remember that this is Hip Hop, it's Competitive. Pusha T. Didn't have as much in his track, but I do agree. It hit Drake harder, then what Drake's diss track did against Pusha T. Drake responded to everything Pusha said. So to me it got in Drake's feelings. Then with that said. I agree, Pusha T. Edged Drake. That's only round 1, how many more rounds do they have. Great job guys, support 100.
I feel like both Drake and Pusha T don’t have that much beef towards one another. Maybe they both being clever and getting more hype around them for their albums. Of course they have a little beef but nothing like Meek and Drake. They both have the same idea and reasoning behind these diss tracks. And once again a great review guys. Much love
*The Beef Isn’t About Pusha T ✋🏾 The Real Beef Is Between Kanye & Drake 💯 So When You Say The Lines Aren’t HITTIN Pusha, That’s Because He’s Not Really Tryin To Hit KANYE*
How can you guys compare drake's ghostwriting scandal to chris brown's savage beating of a defenseless woman? And why do you guys keep saying things like "we love you Chris"? I understand you love his music but he is a garbage human being and a monster who has not only savagely beaten a defenseless woman, but has clearly not been remorseful about it either. Why do people like you and lil dicky keep minimizing his transgressions?
Sounss to me like Drake got Q to write for him only to help Q eirher make money and or get a bit of fame. As Drake said "I wanna see my brothers flourish". Plus its like you guys say Drake is ill he can rap and write no doubts there. Great reaction as always though guys!
Drake is more pissed at Kanye than at pusha t. I think push got a lot of the info on drake from Kanye. Drake now knows this and that's what has inspired this reply.
Love the reaction, but now after knowing how far this beef has gone. The quote “Why would you come at Drake with anything less than a full clip” just has me laughing. Pusha baited the hell out of Drake.
Drake got bars, some of the best have had ghostwriters, hell Ice Cube, MC Ren and The D.O.C. wrote Easy-E's lyrics and I still consider Easy to be a nice emcee (even though write his own shit), and I grew up listening to rap since it was starting.
Drake got him. And I’m a huge Push fan. Pusha did his diss song just to sell more records. It was clearly a strategic publicity move to make money and become more relevant when he dropped his album
I think you guys were sort of misinformed on why Drake went at Ye so much. Ye produced Push’s entire album so he KNEW he was gonna diss Drake while Drake was in Wyoming writing for him. That’s why he was so upset because he used Drake to put together his album knowing his artist was about to send shots at him. Why would the boss go at workers instead of another boss. Pusha is older than both of them but is still the worker, that should say enough in itself.
They weren’t lines directly relevant to PUSH they were lines DIRECTLY related to what was supposedly PUSH ISSUE w Drake, Drake whole point was Push was lying about caring about the ghost shit and just wanted to go at him for the clout like he had been since 2012 BEFORE any GW allegations.
I feel like Drake wasn't necessarily going at Kanye for not writing his raps; I think it was more of what Pusha T was saying about how if you don't write your raps, you can't "talk to him". But if that's the case, why are you signed to a label and follow the lead of a man that is known for doing the same thing.
For me, it's like this. It's easier to believe if someone like J Cole or Kendrick had ghostwriters cause they're actually lyricists. real lyricists. no one's questioning if lil pump got ghostwriters cause there's not really any skill there. but drake isn't even that lyrical. which is what is sad. he still got a GHOST writer for WHOLE VERSES that aren't even lyrical
so if he had ghostwriters for some simple stuff like what Quentin did, people will ALWAYS wonder if drake really writing his raps for stuff that are somewhat lyrical. like if you got a ghostwriter for something like that, something thats actually somewhat lyrical will always be suspicious. thats why Drake will never live down the ghostwriting rumors
Mark Moreno I’ve been telling people on deadendhiphop comments to come to this channel for real un bias thought out reviews. They’ve gone literally down hill imo. If they like the artist they’ll critique it if they don’t then they don’t give it a chance and brush it off.
