What is a rapper in your eyes? Actually explain the difference between drake rapping vs wtv rapper you pick and stick to rapping. Excluding their origins
@@Ibin_KhariI love Ryan but he def is confusing Music artist with rapper. Kendrick is the better rapper but drake is the better music artist in my opinion. He’s more versatile and can do much more than kendrick. That’s just my thoughts on the recent beef.
The Billboards tabulate the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums. Most of Drake's high accolades comes from pop songs (one dance, hotline bling just to name a few) compared to hip hop songs.
The way I saw it he wasn't actually trying to say that Grammy's and numbers matter. He probably also thought that it was a bullshit argument, but then to his surprise, Rhino being a big Drake fanboy actually used numbers and awards to back up his argument.
@@davidnovosardian6848 kendrick got many songs better than marvins room, and marvins room isnt even like a musical masterpiece that cant be replicated.
For anyone commenting. Take into consideration that I'm a retired Kendrick fan. I have preferred Kendrick for most of the past decade but I've officially have gotten tired of his music and now have sided with Drake. I literally prefer Family Matters over every other diss track from the beef and I think most of Kendrick's diss tracks were overhyped and overrated. With that being said, I find it ridiculous that Rhino would say Kendrick can't make "Club Paradise" when Drake can't make anything like TPAB.
“jay z couldn’t make gods plan” because he can’t make melodic songs on the level of gods plan 😭 is a wild take jay z songs sound way better he literally created luxury rap which is melodic in its on way with something like otis
Regardless of opinions, I really appreciated how everyone in this video argued in good faith, and wasn't making personal attacks and only attacked the argument.
@TheSuper-senior "He made almost all of his hits" The video is saying best "rapper". The best rappers do not use ghostwriters for their lyrics. If it was the best "entertainer in Hip-Hop" sure Drake wins.
@@TheKzelaya1Rick Ross said he literally witnessed Drake write all his hits and called drake a writing genius 💀💀 he’s also written for many others like half of Kanye’s “the life of Pablo “ he’s also written for rhianna lil Wayne Jamie fox ect💀💀
Drake is just a good rapper. As a singer, he's got a pretty good voice, so he's a bit better than good. With the rapping and singing combined, he gets a boost to his music. That type of music catches the mainstream but if you're an actual rap fan and know the culture, Drake can never be on a list of greatest rappers.
Im definitely a drake fan , its also nice to be from the same city as him. I definitely do appreciate other rappers/artists but when it comes to others as a whole i can certainly name more hits and songs by him compared to others. Including alot of features with him I also enjoy them. Its very rare for me to hear albums and either like all the songs or most. With Drake I can say theres multiple songs from each of his album that i mess with. I’ve yet to find another person like that yet. 🤷🏽♀️ but thats just my opinion. Not saying hes the greatest but hes up their for me 100%
@@davidnovosardian6848you say that like it's something to be commended on, when as a rapper you should be writing all your stuff, not just a lot of it
the perspective of the argument is wrong, saying that he has timeless hits and billion or more streams on 50 songs just means that he is the most successful and popular rapper oat, not the greatest, 80% of people that listen to that new “innovative” rap are not educated on music. Same as mcdonalds and some other underrated restaurant, everybody goes to mcdonalds and definitely less people will go to the other restaurant even tho it has more high quality food and better prices. It’s because mcdonalds is more mass appealing than the restaurant and most of the people that go eat at mcdonalds are not some chefs or gourmets to professionally judge the quality of the food. Same applies to drake and let’s say andre 3k, he is way less popular than drake and doesn’t even get remotely close when it comes to streams and hits but he produced music that is way more high quality and is statistically one of the best lyricists oat but still doesn’t get the attention that drake gets because he isn’t a marketing strategist, he doesn’t have a bunch of different producers and ghostwriters and he raps and makes other songs from different genres and sub genres that highlight the art and meaning in hiphop as a whole. So the way Ryan arguments is not quite stable because you need to consider all the ways people can get streams and billboard awards that are not just rapping and producing.
I think there’s a couple problems with your arguments. You compared Drakes numbers in an art form to numbers in a sport. Sports are far more objective while music is more subjective. I also think the argument of “best rapper” is stupid anyway. It’s all subjective and about what YOU like. My favorite rapper is Tyler the creator. He doesn’t have the crazy critically acclaimed catalog yet but that doesn’t affect how much I like his music. So I think the whole argument is just dumb. Like what you like.
Facts, swimming pools is actually a very conscious hip hop song with a catchy beat. Drake would make the catchy beat but could never side on the message it sends
I think rhino doesn’t understand that majority of drakes numbers rely on him singing and making pop music rather than rapping. I think Drake is one of the greatest artist of all time but not the greatest rapper of all time
@@davidmoh175no bro the problem with Drake is they are ghost writers. This means he didn't credit his writers. Kanye has writers but they're credited which is different. Drake claims it's his own writing when it's not
I live with a Drake hater.,after years of trying I've come to the conclusion that they can't be reasoned with.,he doesn't even like Kendrick but listenes to all his disses on Drake it's crazy 😂.,I think it vindicates them in some way
I would say its drake too if we just talking bars. A lot of people can rhyme words well, but drake rhymes well, but he also punches and schemes with metaphors and wordplay The bars on all the timestamps, all of scary hours 3, middle of the ocean, churchill downs, tuscan leather, family matters, diplomatic immunity, I can go on and on on and on, and those are just the hard tracks. His talent and pen is pretty undeniable to me. Even compared to kendrick and cole, they are great in their own way, but when it comes to just sitting down and writing bars, drake cant be matched I think his only comp is Wayne and Nas and maybe Jay
Bro drake isn't innovative, he has a ghostwriter, that writes his for him, making him talentless, writing your own lyrics is the biggest part of the music industry.
is he fucking wrong? yall are actually dumb, kendricks music basically objectively caters towards the older hip hop crowd who are familiar with the 90s and 2000s sound, drake is vise versa
@Ninodagoat Learn how to read, pal. They said best *ARTIST* of all time, not best *rapper* of all time. As in the greatest music artist period. Maybe work on your reading before you go ahead and insult people.
@@davidnovosardian6848 right, and just because somebody like drake as a rapper *or* think he's the greatest rapper does not mean somebody is glazing 🤨 But if it's Kendrick or J.cole it's automatically fine to glaze them like what kind of logic is that man
@@davidnovosardian6848All this guy said was that Rhino is glazing. Meanwhile you somehow have a good ten comments in ten minutes trying to slide for Drake in the comments.
@@splashy3045no he can’t. Drake has never had anywhere close to the amount of lyrical depth and musical talent that Kendrick has. Especially not new Drake who acts like a high schooler
The argument for Drake should be about possibly being the greatest hip hop entertainer and that's different from rapper...being a rapper is rapping, that's it...Beats and rhymes and who's the nicest with the rhymes...that's lyricism, cadence, flow...period
17:57 finally someone brings up the true greatest rapper and the godfather of rap music. The charisma, the bars, hits and versatility. Low key drake wouldn’t be here without Wayne 😭
I think there is a problem with the rapper and chef analogy. You can say the chef is more like a general music artist, while a rapper would be more specialized, like a pizza maker. So you can say Drake is a better chef (general music artist) but Kendrick is a better pizza maker (rapper).
12:57 Em isn't usually considered the greatest cus of his fast rapping (by ppl above 14) he is cause of his influence, wordplay, once unique flow, battle rapping etc
The ability to make music that gives off different vibes and feelings is also crazy, just the difference between "superman", "stan" and "lose yourself"
Die hard, love, purple hearts are all songs that have melodic rapping donenby kendrick that also have lyrical depth and are important tracks that develop the album further. Kendrick could be drake if he wanted to, but he chooses not to
