In today’s exploration we are headed to one of the richest neighborhoods in the whole world, this neighborhood has seen many celebrities such as Prince, Celine Dion, and Drake who actually lives right next door. The owners of this mansion were from India. They moved to Canada in the 1970s and once faced with the harsh cold weather an idea sparked. They started manufacturing fire logs that would be easy to light. This business venture turned into an incredible success with the business becoming North Americas #1 fire log company and ultimately turn this family into billionaires. This mansion they had built in 2005 today sits at a worth of close to $40,000,000 only to be torn down to build a bigger mansion. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

What is wrong with refreshing these amazing homes for a fraction of the cost of a bigger, grander home? Horrific that all of the rubble will put tons of waste in landfills. Such a waste of money also. It is mind blowing and heart breaking.

The green stone looks like an onyx and limestone conglomerate, but not sure. It not granite though. It's an metamorphic rock, not an ingenious rock

I genuinely couldn't understand needing this much space with such a small family. Squatters could be living in one wing of your house and you'd probably never know. I'd feel so uncomfortable unless I has cameras everywhere

The “wooden room” that you thought may be an office, I think was a humidor. The door is thick because they need to keep the cigars at a specific temperature and the humidity has to be right also. The floor with the pattern you liked is a “Greek key” pattern. Love your videos! Keep them coming. I’d love it if you could share this home as it’s torn down and rebuilt. That would be interesting too. I’d love to have all those black stones! I hope they salvage the doors, windows and any of the wood they can.

I wouldn't pay $5k for any house with neighbors 100 feet away. Privacy comes before anything with me. I'd rather live in a trailer on 100 acres than a mansion with neighbors.

My Question would be.....Why are these houses not completely stripped either sell for repurpose or let a salvage company come in and remove the items to be reused..It's a Sin for all that expensive wood, light fixtures, tubs, sink, kitchen cabinets..the list is never ending..very sad...The kitchen was my favorite and the least was the black rock floor...what's the point of it???..Thank you for sharing.🩵

The rocky area under the skylight may have been for potted plants. I can easily see it looking like a mini-jungle, which would then make the half moon landing more practical - for viewing the plants. Also, if the family was Jewish, the two separate food prep areas would be needed for kosher cooking.

I always wonder why most mansions you see the ceilings are low. Like they may be high that your Average house but still considerably low. I wonder if rappers wanted to build higher would they? Or could they? Like I’m talking mansions that have 50 foot high ceilings and they are super tall

I expect the demo team will pull what's economic to pull. Like the hot tub, range & stove, maybe marble, doors etc. Maybe even flooring. If the client didn't specify in contract, it's free money!

My favorite part of the mansion is the basement. My grandkids would have a blast down there! Unbelievable how it is to be demolished. It really upsets me honestly. I can care less about it being next to drake's mansion. Unfazed by that. I love the exploration video.

Without Googling, I can say for certain the pattern in front of the fireplace in the cigar room is called “Greek Key pattern”. Yes, as the name implies, its origin is from ancient Greece (my late father was an architect and I’m an architecture and interior design enthusiast). It’s a very traditional, common motif. The original owner of the house is likely Muslim, since the 8-point Islamic star pattern is built into the perimeter of the wood floor on the main floor. You mentioned that you think it is a dining room. I think it could also be a prayer room.

I like how there is a bible verse at the start of each video in small writing.........what's up with that? These videos are addictive. I wish I thought of fire logs what the heck ? We had combusta bricks in Australia very popular in 80s but they went bust but kinda similar idea and recycling newspapers etc so good for environment. Bizarre.

The new owner should take the cabinets and other things and give them to people who doesn't have anything. Everything in that house is in such good condition. It doesn't have sense to throw it away, like I said before so many people will benefit to have some of those things.

I could never live in a house this dang big….i like cozy, and this is definitely not cozy lol. Shame they’re going to demolish it though…who needs a home bigger than this?!?? 😮 Edit: it would amazing if they at least took out all the cabinetry, oven and stove, and donate it or something (?) idk but it shouldn’t just be demolished with the rest of the house

That would have to be a guest bedroom. Because no kid would ever have to leave that room, everything but a kitchen. It's bigger than my first apartment and maybe bigger than my house now it's 1100 sq ft. Crazy it's gorgeous as well. I would love to have a living space like that. Why not donate a lot of these beautiful sinks, shelves, etc.

My biggest fear in life is a shark bursting through a toilet or the bottom of a swimming pool. Looking at a shark tile before jumping in would make it an adrenaline rush for me every time I’d go in… so I’d be pissed at whoever put the shark tiles in the ground 😅

The wood floor in the one room is rift&quartered with a wenge boarder. The cigar room, looks to be teak parquet, with a greek knot boarder.

I’m surprised Drake is living in a house so close to neighbors. I would think he wouldn’t be as close. Love the granite in that shower. It’s beautiful. That one room with the gold on the ceiling looked like a conference room maybe? A dining room probably wouldn’t have so many doors that close it off. The room going toward the garage was a mud room. The butlers pantry with a second stove…wow. Never saw a second oven in a butlers pantry before. You’re right. I can’t believe they are tearing down that house. Why not just renovate? But then maybe it’s more cost effective to build new? It’s crazy. Rich people issues…lol. Also, one more thing. I think you have to remember, homes that size will gave a family room and then a formal living room. The room off the kitchen was probably the family room.

I couldn’t live in a house like that, but if I could, I sure wouldn’t leave it to be torn down. What a sickening waste. I think it’s terrible. By the way, I really love your montages. Thanks for the great tour of this fantastic house. Perhaps in-laws lived with the family…that bedroom set-up looks perfect for that. I type as you go…sorry it’s so choppy. The design on the floor of the cigar room is called a, “Greek Key” design, if that’s what you’re asking. I’m pretty sure the rounded landing is of the “Juliet” style. I love the subway glass blocks, too. What a beautiful house. Such a shame…who needs a bigger home than this? The whole house is my favorite part.

I think that room is a sauna. The box of big grey rocks ( sorry don't know any other way to explain it) are heated up and water poured on to create the steam.
