Man Cole, my man Cole hurt me bad. Sometimes I get over it then when my music is on shuffle and his shit comes on, feels like a pouring salt on a fresh wound
Kendrick Lamar is making Drake look good. No matter what Kendrick comes back and says… Drake will not be hugely affected, because he was allowed to do what he’s done this far.
@@xchxmpagnepxpixespecially from people who call themselves "hip hop heads" like it's 1:1 drake cadence, flow and lines...like you have to really not listen to not get that.
It hits harder knowing Kendrick met pac when he was a kid and motivated him to strive in rapping even with AI the implication of having your idol diss you is wild drake is a menace!
Drake pointing out that Kendrick never put in work is to highlight the fact that he gets street cred because of his label. He benefits from similar affiliations as Drake.
But Drake is not making videos wearing prison orange jumpsuits either, or threatening to burn people’s tattoos like they do in prison. That’s all he meant.
I'm saying that as a huge Kendrick fan: Drake is COOKING KDot, he is bullying him, dissing him and disrespecting him in a very smart and direct way 🔥 absolutely FIRE, that was a genius strategic move! It's a fiiiiine tiiiiime for hip hop! Gaaaawwddaaaayum! 🔥🔥🔥
5:12 I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE THIS, EMINEM IS THE SAME...this was a under played point in the video and I feel like people should make more videos about this!!! i personally looked through my favorite rap songs writing credit, and you would be surpised how many other people wrote on your favorite song even if its just person on the entire song.. its crazy
People don’t understand what a “music producer” is… Music producers also get credit for writing the song even if they didn’t necessarily write the lyrics but mostly for melodies in the beat, I guess that’s why they think Drake has ghost writers
Let em think what they gotta think. If someone even comes up with half a melody they get credited. Drake did use heavyyyy influence of Quentin miller but it was more melody and flow. Not lyrics.
Kdot can only come back if he has some dirt on Drake that we have not heard yet. Other than that Drake took all the ammo off Kdot, every step he does now he has to be really careful, especially with a 7 mens size on.
I was not a fan of Drake's first diss. BUT I LOVE THIS DISS TRACK. And I don't even like Drake. Never liked his music. But this was fucking phenomenal. Man used Pac and Snoop's voice to pull off a B-Rabbit maneuver. Tik Tock Babayaga.
Easy, Fear Samidot Pride Maad City Art of Peer Pressure XXX Duckworth Wesley Theory Blacker the Berry United in Grief Fathertime Mother I Sober Savior Feel DNA. And plenty more those are just a few. Stop acting like K-Dot ain’t that guy cause he is
Sing about me money trees Bitch don’t kill my vibe Duckworth Fear U King kunta The heart 4 The heart 5 Walks could talk Father Time Count me out N95 ADHD Hiiiipower
@@ThePilleroflightning Now when you say drop do you mean he'll do another diss feature? Or will K-Dot drop his own full length track? And not 5 months from now. 🗓️
@@Darkstar_Dayne so lets get this straight my nigga ‘Like That’ releases a whole month ago, and Drake drops “Push-Ups” 3-4 weeks later. He didn’t even officially claim it as his until 4 days later. And then drops “Taylor Made” 2-3 days later. Why can’t Kendrick get that same amount of time? Why does he have to rush a response out. He’s obviously waiting for the perfect opportunity to drop it. Mind you, Ether didn’t come out like 6 months after Jay Z’s diss track, and look how that turned out.
Nah Drake is just talking to Kendrick’s fan base he’s not really dissing Kendrick. He’s a scared puppy, he’s just faking it until he’s make it. Listen to these verses this is more so just for the fans.. that’s all
Here’s the list of writtersfor the song Like That: Nayvadius Wilburn Leland Wayne Kendric Lamar Rodney Oliver And Kobe “BbyKobe” Hood For those who like to talk about ghost writers 👌
thats not true. on the drake ghost writer take. his very early on rap songs where very mild and did not have much doubles and crazy twists. this started only when he got big, look them up and tell me otherwise, i would like know.
The issue is that Drake gets flak for Ghost writers not simply having writers who are credited on the song. Anyone that gives someone flak for having credited writers on the song is just uninformed.
Nah you right I get that. But at this point he has proven himself time and again as being a legitimate writer. He makes smashes for other people just like others make for him. That’s the industry in today’s world. People just stuck on old ways.
@@TheThirdErnest I respect that take for sure. Drake can definitely write and it's bit disingenuous to say that he doesn't write at all. Unfortunately, he opened the door to this sitting with him forever now.
If kdot does that, he got Wayne. Lol Dre doesn’t have a pen to keep up with this. Em does but the kids don’t like this new age em so it would be even imo
5:30 the moment i hear Em (and its no bullshit) confirmed hasnt written his shit , well , im going to be real sad. Thats it. My whole life has been a lie. Wtf are we do8ng
Em really the last of a dying breed. Every song from his pen. Thats just not how the game works anymore unfortunately. Drake. K dot. J Cole. All the icons have writers creds
@@TheThirdErnest JID though? Denzel? Prof? I know that's drop in the bucket but I hope it's not everyone with talent has King Los as credit. Thanks for reply, I agree that Em being the last to get to that level of recognition.
My thing is tho Drake waited like 3 weeks before responding to the lil jab. It’s crazy that just one verse sent the whole fucking world into an uproar I feel like Drake it baiting hard and trying to goad Kendrick into making a mistake regardless it’s all insane to watch
The one verse was because the verse (and whole album tbh) was so unexpected. Alphas haven’t gone after alphas since jay and nas. And 3 weeks to respond to 5 dudes in one song while on tour is understandable to me actually.
@@TheThirdErnest hahaha I knew you were gonna call me on this and I don’t have the receipts. But I swear Thank Me Later and Take Care track would leak like he’s tryna get approval before it’s official. Limewire/ datpiff days, off that now
Yeah, we are talking about the verses. It aint the same. We saw Drake have a whole reference track for verses TWICE. He writes, but he also has people write for him. Thats that bias showing. We not talking about people helping create the song. we are talking about the part that matters in hip-hop. That spit.
Who making them verses? No one cares that he used a lil yachty adlib or a line. It's amazing that people can pretend that he doesn't have ghost writers lmaooooo. Quentin's reference track dropped almost 10 years ago. And lil yachty's reference track for a Drake song just dropped.
We don't care that Drake used the line "Just beat it" in First person shooter and gave Michael Jackson a writing credit. That isn't what we are talking about
