There is a reason why to pimp a butterfly almost tied thriller for Grammy nominations in a night and is one of just four projects archived in the Harvard library. There is a reason why DAMN is the first non classical or jazz album to win the Pulitzer. Simply put Kendrick ain’t just the best rapper of his generation but probably the best musician in the world as well. Kendrick is a once in a generation type artist I don’t see j cole in that same light, but I would say drake is worse then both he is more of a pop artist to me with great hits but really nothing more and nothing less both Kendrick and cole can make pop hit records while also rapping at a high level in different ways although Kendrick does that at a much higher level then cole, it’s all preference though Kendrick is more of a thought provoking artist that you might not understand at first because of how high level he is where as cole is straight to the point
