I remember seeing somebody comment that the way each figure dances is significant to their character. Five's movements draw attention to her face, she's the most vain and indulgent of her sisters. Four's motions are symmetrical, showing her desire for true order. Three is very sporadic and random, doesn't sync with the music all that much. Shows her unconforming nature and curiosity for forbidden knowledge, and she's strange... Two's movements center around her heart. She's the most compassionate of her sisters and truly caring of everyone around her. One's arm movements seem to oppose each other, perhaps showing her internal struggle of saving the world and finding purpose for herself. Knowing Intoners are a cursed existence, she realise they will bring the world to ruin should they continue to live. Zero I honestly can't remember. I don't know how to relate her movements to her character at all. *Edit:* Zero's movements are free, unrestricted and varied. It reflects her resolute personality and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals.
Regarding Four's dance, her motions seem more like recoiling to me. She keeps covering her face and pushing out away from herself with her hands. Given that her character is centered around repression and embarrassment, I think it's likely that's what they were going for with her dance.
@@zinzolin14 Zero's movement seems to be kind of a mix of all of the other intoners to me. Which would makes sense given that Zero's sisters are really supposed to be clones of her.
@@lovelyrodriguez2190 would make sense, since she is the original Intoner. I found the comment again, they stated that Zero's movements are free, unrestricted and varied. It reflects her resolute personality and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals.
@@lovelyrodriguez2190 Just a "TLDR"-- This is just my thoughts, minus the few facts about the game. Just know, they aren't exactly her clones, they're just her, the embodiment of herself, but different parts amplified. Not clones-- they are her. They are different parts of her, split into 5, which means each part of her was suppose to be a part of herself, but amplified because all each intoner had was themselves. They lived such a short time, but their memories of childhood and spending time with Zero never really happened, because the flower fabricated memories so that each of them would have a reason to live and fight for. The power of the flower is honestly cruel, and it's why Zero could never really feel much for anyone, other than Mikhail. Not because she really does, but a bond was formed because of Micheal, and because of the dragon's original purpose for her journey. Maybe not even a bond, because both Dragons and Zero could never love anyone because of their purposes. Dragons were made to follow a specific order. Most people say Zero never really liked anyone, because she couldn't. In a way, her personality, and heart, were taken from her, leaving just a cold shell. All she ever wanted was to end it, and the flower only combated with her, preventing her from dying in the first place. It stole her one chance to change her fate. The more I think about it, the more I think "Maybe she did care for some people. " Accord, for one. Accord didn't serve too much of a purpose, other than warning Zero that the path she's on isn't the correct one. Mikhail/Micheal served a huge purpose, he was the final card. Lose that, and she had to find another dragon, not so much caring that/if Mikhail himself died. The disciples, debatable. As she said, "I kill my sisters, I take their men." She views them as objects, not people, just like people viewed her as an object when she was a prostitute. Maybe there was a reason she killed the Intoners in the order she did. 5 was the worst of them all, very self-centered. In a way, they all were, but she was the most self-centered. Four was a tad manipulative. Self centered, but wanting to do what was right...while not knowing exactly how. She was following One's orders most of the time. Three was crazy. If you look through every single theory about what the dance means in the final scene, everyone can agree Three never followed any sort of rule...That's what insanity itself represents. One, though lost and unsure of her own purpose, was the one able to keep her head through all of this, and gave each of them orders, in which I'm sure Three also followed. Three didn't, and she let her curiosity get the better of her. Two was the sweetest of them all, but in the words of Cora from "Once Upon A Time", love is weakness. She lost her sanity to her own song because she loved too hard, and tried to help something out of her hands. Because Zero lost that side of her, it was easier to kill Two without showing compassion. Her offering Cent to kill Two wasn't because she cared, it was simply an attempt to make it easier to wipe out the last of the intoners. Finally, One. One wasn't exactly "full of emotion", but she's what was needed to keep all of their heads together. Had it not been for One, I'm almost positive all of the intoners would have done a lot more damage alone than together. All together, they make Zero, a default version. Piece by piece, I like to believe Zero was purposely offing her chance of becoming her again, because she knew she could never really be *her* again, from worst to best, up until the final person who threw all of it together-- One. Just my thoughts. :}
One thing I've noticed about four is that in the boss battle it looks like her movements are focused towards zero. She's reaching out towards zero, making motions that look like praise towards her, & her end pose looks like she's focusing her vision towards zero. She built this idol of a sister that never truly existed & she wanted to hold onto that until the very end. It could be a coincidence due to all the sisters facing towards zero during their sequences but that's what it felt like.
You know these are actually really great wrist/hand stretches and workouts to offset the repetitive strain injury playing too much drakengard can give you
Honestly among all of them, Zero movements are the most smooth and like... in control of herself? Like the movements doesn't seem to be random or like chaotic, it actually looks like some sort of dance which shows that she knows what she is doing?
@@cooldevildjva1246 she won't have to. The swimmers will just swim into the circle and surface on their turns. They'll have to time when they enter the pool though.

I love how dramatic their movements are, as if they're "bending" their song. Paired with the music and lighting used in-game, you can feel the depth and gravity of this sequence. It's so interesting also how their polygons fold out like that, allowing them only to move the top of their torso without contorting the flower petal, yet their movements are still done so well.
This is so cool, I always wanted to be able to get a really clear look at these animations-thought about emailing the guy who does the Boundary Break series to see if he’d consider an episode on this game or something, lol. The dances are all beautiful, though I think I find Three’s to be the most... I don’t know, interesting? Striking? In part because it’s so random and odd-looking.
This is awesome. I'd really like a remake of this game if they'd rid of Octa and maybe Decadus, replacing them entirely. Octa made me the most uncomfortable. Beautiful work. Shame you don't get to actually experience the beauty of this performance instead of getting motion sickness watching the absolute hell of a boss.
Something I've noticed is that each of the corresponding song's aren't matched up with every Intoner. One has Three's, and Three's has Four's. Two seems to have her's. It's a pretty song, and I'm sure they had a reason for it.
