White people have a tendency of adopting a color-blind standpoint, and in doing so they guard themselves against recognising racial inequalities in their society and thus lessen experiences of dissonance or awareness of own privilege. We cannot abandon affirmative action. Why was it that during Apartheid they hated us for our skin color and now we must forget about race. A white person saying we must forget about Apartheid, everyone is a victim, that's the most frustrating thing ever. We can't turn a blind eye to the fact that the minority population owns the economy to the expense of the majority population.

Botswana don’t have to deal with all of this due to having a great leaders like Sechele I whom defeated the attacking white boers, and later great leaders like Khama III, Sebele I and Batheon, the three dikgosi, whom secured the position of a protectorate instead of a colony under Rhodesia or South Africa due to the terrible treatment of black people in both. This meant that Botswana wasn’t built on subjugation of the people and racism as its neighbouring countries. The result of these leaders success we see today in Botswana, which is the most stable country in Africa. Once a foreign concept to the land, racism against the Batswana maybe on the rise with the migration of the boers from S.A.
