I'm not a fan of Iga , but in this match I will show her what she has to change = exactly the same problem as Rybakina has : waiting ALL THE TIME for her coach to tell her what to do !! And the second problem ( which annoys me the most ) : delaying the serve trying to "hide" the direction instead of focusing on the placement and power to hit an ace !
I like you make it seem like her fans are denying that she can be bit, as if there is a retired player who was unbeaten. People are just amazed by how easy this loss looked and worse from a player who won't make it to the final. Iga always learn from these type of performances, that's what makes her one of the best number 1's in history of the women's game.
But over that last few years when she has been beaten the excuses come up every time like: It’s a late night match, the court was too fast, she was not 100% , she was tired, she was injured etc. The facts remain that she does not have the strongest serve or most consistent forehand and is often rattled when facing someone with a strong serves and consistently hard ground strokes
I mean do you blame them though, the stats are there for everyone to see, she's been the most consistent WTA player for what 3/4 years now. It like comments like these come every time she looses a match, which is a rare occasion.
Well, true, but also not, they need to display they can compete against the proven #1 in the world and fear is but one of various things to work on: that display I mentioned above is talent to be among the very best. I am not even an iga fan.
Well, I have not seen anyone faster on the court than Iga for a long time. And there she was - Ekaterina - faster and more precise. She was unbeatable that night! If she stays at that level we have another pretender to the throne. Iga was playing like that for her first RG title. Btw - Ekaterina Alexandrova - what a beautiful name.
Everyone can defeat iga these days which is amazing. I love seeing that👍 If somebody plays against iga aggressively, she loses cause she can’t handle an aggressive tennis for sure 😂
@@josephinesaayman5806 when on earth did she say that? lmao, she actually always says the opposite: not to rush into conclusions, not to take anyone for granted... you're just a plain boring hater with nothing to add
Nope, thses otheand she r ladies need to get over Iga. She really is not unbeatable. Just like Novak. Thinks he can beat every player, but once he and Iga lose ,they retreat with their wounded ego's never truly accepting that their game is not the absolute best and that they can lose on occasion. I've always prefer Nadal and Fed because they were not as arrogant and if they lost, held the head up high and made no excuse. No humility with Iga.
@@nt4081 Hahaha Nadal not arrogant? every time he loses he argues he lost because he has an injury, in his mind he believes he is always unbeatable if not injured.
@@S1NKYs Iga is really not a strong minded player, hence the Pyschologist/girlfriend traveling with her. Kinda pathetic if you ask me. Unable to handle a loss so she hides under a towel.
You were just tired dear, you can't keep winning, even the best of bests lose every once in a while. Just make sure to recover and come back stronger as you often do
she is NOT THE BEST, THE BEST cAN PLAY WITH OPPONENTs who have aggresive tennis, SHE CANNOT! IF you didnt notice she wins onlywith non aggresive PASSIVE players in indian wells she had laughable draw like kostyuk and sakkari, thats the champion she is ...
@@crasetawilliams8435 she is not tired...lol she doesnt know how to play with AGGRESIVE PLAYERS, she love passive one.. Ekaterina just attacked, attacked, attacked. Swiatek didn’t know what was happening.lmao your excuses are laughable..
No, she was not tired! Keep making excuses for her and she will never humble herself. She comes out full of energy, thinks she is unbeatable, and has gotten the business from a few players who are not intimidated.Truth is, Iga has weaknesses in her game. It just takes a player with smart tactics and some solid skills to beat her. Alexandrova can improve , and limit her errors and be a force. I have loved her game since she beat Muguraza about 3 or 4 years ago. It was a beat down in that match and no one even heard Alexandrova. She is a promsing talent, I hope she can elevate her game. Had enough of Iga.
Osaka tried to do the exact same thing in their 2022 Miami final and it didn't help much. I think the biggest problem is that Swiatek's forehand has regressed for some reason. It used to be her scariest shot, now more often than not it's unreliable.
Mmm I don’t know I think when she is playing without fear she hits freer on this wing. When they rushed her she also falters on this side and balls bounce up Ito her flat opponents strike zone
I hope so, but it depends on the person serving. Iga has a weak second serve , that is predictable , slow , and high. She would have a difficult time against Caroline Garcia, or Rybankia.
@@blablaqqher forehand swing has gotten bigger over the years. I’m not sure why? Her FH was so compact back in 2019-2020 and was still a weapon. 2021-2022 had her racquet go further back. But now it goes completely around the body.
😭😭😭 Could barely watch Chris. Wiktorowski suggesting she try some body returns to deal with the Alexandrova serve. Looks like she tried that but unfortunately hit it right into Alexandrova’s strike zone :( thanks for the content as always! I just hope that she is in top shape for Madrid bc I will be there and can’t wait 😍
It's fine Iga your human and your have been tight from Qatar to Dubai then Indian wells, get some rest queen, we know your back on court you will be dangerous as usual well done Iga and congratulations Alexa for your win.
The guy at the end of the video doesn't even know who Alexandrova is playing next. He said Garcia. No it's Pegula! Also, he said Roddick thinks Swiatek's forehand is the best on tour. How can Roddick say that? Many reasons why it's not the best on tour. You just have to look at how she dealt with the pace of Alexandrova to see that it's a crazy, frantic forehand that can't deal with pace. That's why Swiatek has trouble playing the big hitters. It's when the big hitters are consistent aswell that Swiatek is anhillated!
Why is Alex ranking.. So high. Well played Alex.. Iga looks tired. And she seem really shocked with Alex power. Iga and her coach.. There is something.. Off.. Little Tension. I guess some frustration.. Sad too see but Alex was playing very well.
I detest this type of coaching. I know it's legal now, but i feel it hurts the integrity of the sport. Players should be able to think for themselves during matches.
Iga goes tentative under these circumstances by just putting the ball in play without intent.Next match with Alexandrova she will be prepared though. She needs to have PLAN B always.
YeAH, AND HOPEFULLY ALEXANDROVA will be prepared as well, she is not done improving. Iga is weak mentally, when she is not able to dominate, or things are not going as predicted , she cannot think very well. Love when Ostepanko beats her too. It is so funny to be, world number losing to Ostepanko ,routinely.
I love Iga. And you know what maybe she's got a period, maybe her wrist hurts, she played a lot of matches within a week, maybe she needs to recover. She's a human not a bloody machine. She is ranked no1 for a reason takes more than 1 match to build that kind of achievement
Tell that to Iga, apparently #1 has gotten to her, and she is shocked when she cannot produce the same results in every tournament. Got her ass kicked in AO, she wins in the MIddlde EAST , I think , and Indian Wells, but that is all for now. Humility and acceptace is what is lacking with her.
Haha! Normally I don't watch women's tennis. Does this apply to the men too? I haven't seen any coaching yet accept with Tsisispas. Either way I'm against it but then I'm 65 and have been playing and teaching the game for many years.
Congratulations alexandrova, well done! To Iga’s coach, her game is so predictable it’s time to change it up. If you cannot see that then you’re not doing your job. Iga needs to add more variety, an element of surprise to her game. Players are doing their homework and studying her game and they are succeeding.
It's 1 loss. Lol. If she's winning most of the time, she's fine. She bageled every opponent last week at least once to win Indian Wells. She's allowed to be human and lose.
@@tenshinowingusu She lost early at a Major, one loss? lmao. The others are not as strong as Alexandrova, and they have all been playing as if they have to follow Iga's game. The let her dominate, all excewpt Ostepanko. Love when she come to play Iga.
All the Iga fans: stop with the "she was tired" excuse. Its irritating. ALL players are tired with the relentless tour schedule. She is not the only one, so save your "tired" excuses for someone who cares.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Iga comes up small against any opponent who plays aggressively against her. There is no way that the #1 ranked player in the WTA should be getting her clock cleaned in the round of 16. Pathetic. Unfortunately, like most of these younger players, she depends way too much on her team. Constantly looking over at them during the match for approval and guidance. Too much fist pumping and not enough heart pumping.
Iga has a lot of talent, but from what I’ve seen, she has trouble with the harder hitting players. Also, she has difficulty on the faster courts. As a tennis fan, It’s discouraging to watch a player with so much talent lose to unranked opponents ( those ranked out of the top 32)
I think Iga generally prefers to play earlier, not so late into the night. I have noticed she is at her best up till a certain time of the day, be it up to 6-7pm. Otherwise, she becomes unfocused unless she's well rested. It's a combination of fatigue, heavy weather, late night schedule, and an in-form opponent. Alexandrova played today as if she were on extra fuel..
I don't understand your drama at all. This is sport. Iga is already thinking about Roland Garros, which starts on May 20. This season is special because of the opportunity to win two priceless trophies on clay courts. This opportunity won't come for the second time in her career. I don't think he will try very hard on any other surface.
Then she wouldn't have been begging for answers from her coach throughout the match if she didn't care. U don't have to force those stupid thoughts in her head. She was COMPLETELY outplayed and was almost breadsticked. Whether she learned from this or not will be revealed soon because this is not the first time Alexandrova has beaten her...
@@nhlanhlamakhanya2285 You don't understand the idea of sports in general. You have an example of great tennis stars who lose in this tournament. Is this a reason to mix them with mud? You have a problem with yourself and I don't think you can figure it out. You need specialist help.
ПОГОДА плохо подействовала на Игушку, усталость от соревнований, игроки проклятые, которые всё время хотят почему -то выиграть. А ещё - Полнолуние! Ветер, солнце😅😂😂
Swiatek is a cheat! Look at what she does at 1.24 in the video. She taps ther racket against the court. What was she doing there only trying to distract her opponent. I have seen her wave her hands in the air before. She should be docked a point for waving arms like that. What she did here is not good either. Mental case!
You pure haters csn say whatever you want. 1GA IS STILL THE MOST CONSISTENT PLAYER ON WTA whether you likr it or not. She has the right to have a worse day. Balls in Indian Wells were totally different. 1ga had difficulities to adjust her game. If Akeksandrova was that great at the age of 29 she would be in the top 5 at least. 1ga is 22 has 19 titles and Aleksandrova has 4 WTA and 7 ITF! Sondod give that crapnabout hiw great Aleksandrova is.. 1ga has won with her 3 times recently. Just had no pressure snd went all the way taking advantage of 1ga's worse game. This is what sport is all about.
@@josephinesaayman5806good that your opinion has absolutely no incluence on 1GA' S GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS. YOU ARE A PURE WICKED HATER. HIPE IT GETS YOU...
This is a predetermined match. Clearly Iga wasn't playing her best. She didn't want the title nor the money. She is a multimillionaire already with a bunch sponsorship & investments to her name. She wants to get off the tournament at least at this match so she can go out doing something more enjoying. Very obvious🤣
