My first reaction to Mykelti mentioning "the drama" was the same. Mykelti probably makes a nice amount of money from her Patreon where she reacts to family drama. But then I though that maybe there is some family drama that has not been shown on the show.
There seems to be a lot that’s gone unsaid, think about the Christmas text message. We spent a good portion of the season hearing about it, but they never showed it to us. There must be some other things going on. Maybe she’ll talk about it eventually
I remember watching the Bobby Fischer movie as a kid. Not into chess myself. Never took the time to learn but that movie was really good. And the queens gambit was great. Hope I got the name right on those.
I feel that the family uses Mykelti as the unofficial family spokesperson. She may have grown and want to move on from that. I think that it’s wonderful that Tony will be starting his dream job soon. Not everyone gets their opportunity to do that. My understanding is that Janelle and the NC family bought a flower farm. Can’t wait to see what she does with that. I do wonder if Gabe moved back to LV to be with Logan and Hunter. Lots of opportunities for happiness and growth! I am cheering them on.
I agree with the pinned comment. I also wanted to say something about Janelle. It seems like over the years her particular role in this show that was really put out there to make polygamy look wonderful, was to praise and elevate Kody at every turn. She would always go on about what a wonderful father he was and how he was so much more present than her step dad who raised her. Well that is a low bar! According to the book he wasn't very involved with Janelle at all so even if Kody did hardly anything with her kids it would seem wonderful to Janelle by comparison. I hope this makes sense. XO
Very true, I think Janelle didn’t know any better. I think her children being hurt is what made her see that Kody wasn’t a good dad. I’d love to hear how she feels about that now
Ugh no they need to stay where they at we have enough drama in NC as it is! 🤦🏿♀️ And, yes, chess is a whole (nerd) lifestyle and can get stupid expensive. I never played until my son wanted to learn and now i cant get away. Pray he's not at the CCC 😒🤞🏿
That’s cool, I have observed people play and they really get into it. It was just never my thing. Way to take one for the team though and make sure that you’re there to support your son with it. Love that! 💙
Forgot to mention that the Brown adults made a lot of money off of Mykelti and the other children. I doubt they will ever see any money from having their childhood moments monetized. I got no issues with her and Tony making that money now.
I feel like they are leaving to get away from both sets of parents. Trying to raise yoir chikdren the wah you feel right is hard when you have families with big opinions. I feel T & M's families or mothers i should say have big voices
Could Mykelti be jealous of David? He did bring his kids in the family so Christine's time might be more sparse? I was told Mormons in other states are different than Utah Mormons. A co-worker told me her youth group in Atlanta focused on college after high school. But when she attended BYU the 1st year women students were all giddy about getting married and having babies. So maybe in NC she can find a ward to welcome her.
Hopefully she’ll be welcomed. It’s a possibility she’d be jealous of his kids. He has grandchildren too and they spend a lot of time with them. I wouldn’t rule it out
I think for whatever reason Tony has really never liked Christine and probably never liked that she moved so close to them after she left Kody...and we now how in love he is with the Bird and the Bald Eagle so for him getting his wife and children back at a distance ftom Christine suits him just fine...he probably also thinks this will bring the closeness back they once had with Kody and Robin before Christine moved near them...but what I don't think he got was that Robyn was using that relationship as a chess move against Christine and when it didn't work and was no longer serving Robyn she no longer ha a use for that relationship..the big drama dumb dumbs lol 😅
I think he’s still holding resentment for her response to him in the beginning. He always has something snarky to say to her. You’re right, they don’t realize that the feathers were only being close to them as a way to get to Christine. He’s going to end up treating her kids just like how he’s treated his other grandchildren
