I never wanted to punch a person so much like Nashay. And I played world PvP with a woman who slept with both my friend and three dudes from a rival pvp guild. FOR FOOD.
Rift was so good through storm legion. I had max level toon of every class on both factions. Conquest pvp was fun as hell. Had over 500k pvp killing blows in that game. Had a server first on lots of raid end boss's. The bosses were fun, unique, bugs were few and far between. Played from beta though storm legion. Zones were cool, world boss's were fun, crafting and transmog was awesome. Player and guild housing system was pretty awesome and there was endless amounts of exploration and artifacts finding to do outside of the main pvp/pve stuff. The game still is my favorite mmo ive played to date pre in-game shop in Rift. Shop killed the game. With hundreds of days played in classic wow, multiple 300ilvl 3k io toons in retail wow, and 1100 days played in retail over all 27 of my toons, i still say that Rift and it first 2 expansions is the best time ive ever had in an mmo. No contest.
I feel like Rift came out either too late or too early. If Rift came out as it was (some how) before WoW it could have been big. If it came out during the lull of BFA end/shadowlands and the FFXIV content lull which was around the same time as New Worlds release and collapse, it would have had the benefit of tech advances and maybe not been as janky feeling to play.
Great voices and altough the beginning of the story had questionable descisions i loved the end. "You wanna see a trick? Now you see us... and now you dont." /gquit
Fucking hell that Nasha character sounds familiar, not the voice just the words and manipulation and I did play Rift for a time and quit sometime while leveling in the Plane of Water, side note: the way it all ended was like a master stroke of pure genius, there are certain people you dont pull crap on because eventually they wont care what happens to them, be careful who you trust you never know who might turn double agent at a wim.
Dude, I played rift in this timeframe. Loved it..although, there were no lures, particularly crafting lures until much later. At one point, I got a raid spot because I agreed to play bard. I told them I'd never played it (was blade dancer). They told me no problem, just hit this one button on cooldown and stay alive. So that is what I did. Well done storytelling :)
I really liked the Covenants in Shadowlands, my main went with Bastion because their gear is great for Holy Priest transmog and I got a little owl friend who gave me potions.
So in the Drama of Telara, the people poached from Handies left the guild and waited forever when they could have just stayed in Handies and raid the next week?
Excellent story telling with excellent voice acting. That Nashe or wtv the fk her name was, reminds me soo much of my psychotic ex guild leader, she had a nervous breakdown and started going paranoid on me, leaving me in my most confused and most frustrated state of my entire life. A year later, when I came back and joined another guild, after she'd forcefully kicked me, she went all friendly on my ass and tried to get me to come back. Got even more confused, realized I am dealing with someone who is mentally unstable and just politely refused and lied about keeping in touch in the future :D
i played rift from launch and it was a really good and fun alternative to wow. Sadly the game took ages for updates and patches and some classes had dead specs for a very long time (looking at you cleric tank), but it was a very fun experience and i miss the game
I bet it was a paladin tank. I am a holy paladin and was becoming invisible in nearly every M+ I did. I'm not sure when it was fixed. It was really annoying, but it'd have been way worse if I was tanking
Wow...Rift. Haven't played that in ages. Had promise in the beginning but ended up being another psuedo WoW clone that eventually folded up. Its a shame to, it had real potential. I THINK its still around but not sure.
Guys, serious question here, Preach always refers to DKP like it's the worst thing in WoW. I'm now playing Classic Wotlk with fellow boomer Classic Andies and DKP is the system we use. What's wrong with it and what are some better alternatives/what's the current meta loot system?
@@matthewlerma5334 Yeah but you can't expect people to really know what they want. That comes with experience that we don't have. And that experience could cost us members, time and effort.
@@AnnihilatorCZ I think for raids at the classic wow level, it wont really effect your ability to clear raids even if it's not the most efficient use of gear sometimes. The most important thing for non-hardcore guilds is that the members feel like the system they use is fair and are happy with the speed at which they are gearing up. The more serious a group becomes in competing at high levels of raiding (which is pretty limited in classic wow) the more importance on which classes and specs get what gear first and so on. I think DKP is fine, it does have some downsides, but all loot systems do at some level.
They quit their own guild to join another after people warned them. They ended up learning the hard way what someone tried to tell them. They weren't good enough to kill a boss in raid & decided it was Rift that was shit? HA! Losers blaming the game.
