Jeremiah, you were a great one. Thanks for great music and memories. Rest in Peace.

I ain't a Modest Mouse fan, but "We kiss on the mouth but still cough down our sleeves" is a fucking brilliant line.
@TheWayofGrace89
Arguably their best song.

I was in a band that got to open for these guys one time. They were all tripping balls on acid. I loved that. Jeremy was a fucking great drummer

I went to BEST high school in the late 2000s. It was an alternative school for fuck ups, stoners and drop outs. I don't remember his name, but a janitor at the school once asked me what I was listening to. I told him, Modest Mouse. He told me "Oh cool one of those guys used to go here." I looked into it, it was Jeremiah. Janitor guy had nothing but good things to say about him.

I will always come back here, As i grow older, I grow out of a lot of the music I once liked, but this song hunts me like a curse. It's a comforting darkness though, y'know? I'm at peace in this mess of shadows, it's a comfortable place to vibe when the world gets to be too much.

This band this album I'm forever grateful that I was blessed with modest mouse. This album saved my life and Jeremiah you were the best thank for blessing us with your drums. RIP
@TheNewRockAlternative
I'd love to experience listening to this for the first time in 1996, must've blown people's minds

I met Isaac, he came into my small audio shop in NYC looking for some speakers to finish he edit of Strangers to Ourselves. I sold him some small speakers and warned him they weren’t studio monitors. A few hours later he brought them back and told me they sucked. So I sold him some Grado headphones. He came back the next day just to tell me how good the headphones were and that he used them to revise and tweak the entire album. He kept those. Most importantly, he cracked me up the whole time he was in the shop, he hung out for a while and just bull shitted. He barely met his deadlines and kept procrastinating… very nice, very funny guy.

I came here to pay respects after hearing the sad news... this will be forever one of my favorite drum beats of all time. And he had so many other greats. Awesome drummer and one of the best bands ever in general.
@Faeith
The way the guitar and drums sound together is like a match made in heaven ✨

I love a lot of their songs but there is something very special about this one
@C-Llama
The most memorable parts of this song are the guitar melodies and Isaac's vocals, but really it's the drums that are carrying
