Both the Americans and the Brits had slow exchanges and Sha'Carri was almost 4th when she settled in to run, nearly three places behind Darryl, she just outran everyone easily, no way Darryl was keeping up with her. Great redemption run for Sha'Carri, outstanding effort from all the runners in the rain, and thanks for the quick upload!
100% correct. I was watching the Americans and thought that that last exchange might cost them - pretty much identical to the Brits. Sha'Carri smoked the field.
Are you kidding me??? Daryll is a beast. Can't you see she had to slow down on 7:33 or she would cross the line and get disqualified? Despite that she was able to CATCH UP with Sha'Carri. She would demolished her otherwise
@@regnorum She was in front of Sha`Carri and Sha`Carri ran past her. The americans last exchange was as bad as the Brits. The commentator was not paying attention.
Richardson got crushed and smoked in Paris, she needed three other women to get a gold medal - and looking sideways during the races shows her weak character.
but she didn't realize how quick the third leg Brit was coming at her. She judged her run start by assuming she would be behind the American. She was in fact placed well infront.
"All white team"? We Germans are not americans or brits... We don't go around the world and calling ourselves just "white", we prefer to call our ETHNICITY wich is German.
You're correct...it was worse than GB's exchange. But I completely understand the announcer's focus because GB and the US were expected to be in a gold medal toss-up...and GB was leading entering the zone.
@@mrtoldyou5589 you are lying the British was too much...look at how she tried to cover the gap if there was only 5meters ShaCarri was going to be smoked fr
@@takudzwakondoni3991 Get out of your feelings. What part of them being a toss-up (meaning both were gold favorites), and GB actually leading entering the exchange zone is a lie or a swipe at GB? The OP stated "Gabby and Sha’carri also had a slow change", referring to the announcer's emphatic description of GB's exchange. The US exchange was worse...but the announcer's emphasis was correct because GB was clearly leading at that point. The OP also said "Sha’carri saved it go girl." I didn't comment on that. GB's bad exchange lost the lead, as accurately described by the announcer. His call was exactly correct: GB lost the LEAD due to their exchange. He missed the worse US exchange because the US was not leading. Your comment about 5 meters makes no sense. I can't count how many times Bolt had been significantly behind in individual and relay races due to bad starts or poor exchanges...to catch the competition within the regulated distance. You had great men and women teams in this Olympic that failed to even qualify for the finals due to bad exchanges.
@@mrtoldyou5589 even tho GBR was leading, I still think Sha’carri would run faster if there were no mistakes on both sides, because with both of those mistakes , they kind of started running at the same time the final 100m and Sha’carri was behind actually and still got in front. I was so focused on US team that I’ve only seen their bad exchange, and I saw they slowed down and everyone seemed to be in front of Sha’carri, but she really finished strong. I came here for a replay to see what happened with GBR 😅
Oh My God, this womens run like a PUMA., no way , what a speeed, from Richardson , she lost a moment when she recived it , and in the final meters she look in the right.
The German girls really gave all and great to see how happy they are winning bronze. Teamwork is when you have not one sprinter in the single finals but take bronze in the teamsprint. Personal best over 100 meters from the German girls. Alexandra Burghardt 11,01s Lisa Mayer 11,19s Rebekka Haase 11,06 Gina Lückenkamper 10,95 s
Glückwunsch an unsere Bronze - Mädels!!!!! Super Leitung!
She is said to have the fastest split time of all athletes. This is how she performed at the Euros in Munich, 2022... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4IsIE3ETi_M.html
@@oscarvanschijndel4989 Not everyone runs 100m in the relay. Because of the length of the transition zone. Gina, for example, has a shorter part. So it's not 9.89 seconds for 100m (flying without a starting block) but for around 95 meters.
The passing of the baton is an essential part of the 4× X ! Americans have lost many times because they don't train it enough! It always p*ss me off when they say "they could've... should've..." That's just an insult to those who didn't make mistakes and were faster! No excuses!

That was a hot race. US and GB had terrible change overs no doubt. Daryl slowed down, then kicked again. That made the difference. Though she began to chase, Sha’carri was already ahead.
"A complete disaster for the British," on that last handoff, according to the announcer. A bit of an over-reaction? I felt embarrassed for him. The last exchange between the Americans wasn't exactly smooth, either.
True, GB was ahead of everyone and when they finally had the baton they were 4th, still they sprint to second. If not for that bad exchange they would smoke everyone easily.
