@@WillGibbons I just bought the master class :) I don't necessarily want to work in 3D, but I plan to start my own small tech company and be able to better visualize my own ideas. I've been modeling in Rhino for a long time and I think this should be the next step. Ps: Read currently also "Light for Visual Artists" on your recommendation :)

Hi, the only way I know how to do this is to adjust the speed of the rotation in the animation timeline. Just click and drag when your mouse is hovering over the end of the green bar.

Thought about it. There's one clip that's particularly noisy... May give it a try.

I used a temporary track with the tempo I wanted. Then, shared the animation with the sound guys. They watched it and came up with the audio to match. They gave me the final audio and I made small tweaks to tighten it all up in post.

Sorry, that wouldn't make sense. I never use the 'same' render settings for any given job. That's probably why you're running into issues. I'd recommend reading up on which settings affect which aspect of your renderings. Then, adjust accordingly for each job.

It's hard to say. I did not work on this project in a focused manner. I did bits of it here and there for a few months. If I did it with zero other distractions, it would probably take a week or so to make. Maybe a bit more?

Thanks. All animation and rendering was done in KeyShot. The rendered frames were compiled in Premiere Pro.

Good question. The quality of a model's assembly structure is something that seems to vary greatly. You can try Grabcad.com for some free models. I always build my own since it's the only way to get exactly what I want.

@@WillGibbons I'm starting to build a relatively intricate clock - I'm newer to Solidworks and Keyshot, but am catching on quickly. My brain is a hybrid of engineering and creative thinking so it's been fun! Earned my CSWP in less than a year, so I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do!

You can! I had been using KeyShot for about 6 years when I made this... so practice goes a long way. Also, there is an online manual for KeyShot. Better than a PDF if you ask me!

Little difficult to answer your question but I'll try. I create each scene/sequence as a studio in KeyShot. They are typically 3-6 seconds long. I render each out separately. I then combine them and do finishing touches in an NLE such as premiere pro/davici resolve. In this case, I worked with some friends who created the audio for this piece as I was creating the animation.

Yes, that is possible with a video map texture.

Two professionals. I collaborated with them. One did the score, the other did the sound design. I credit them at the end of the video.

It varies greatly. I don't price projects until I understand how much work it will be. For example, the client doesn't always have all the graphics, models, music, sound etc. as I need. Everything I need to create takes time and affects the cost. Typically, a company can expect to pay a range of $12-20K USD for something like this.

@Shadrach Koomson Well, it's not that simple. You asked how much _I would_ charge for this animation. The prices my services cost depend on what a client is willing to pay. There are others who are able to charge much more than I am (some agencies charge $100K+), but nobody will pay me that much for my work. So, just because I've found a pricing strategy that works for me and my clients, does not mean that it will work for you and your clients. Hah, this would be a very long tutorial. I've done other animation tutorials that are on the KeyShot channel. I used the same exact techniques in those videos.

Well, there are credits at the end. My friends did the soundtrack and sound design. I created everything else you see in the video.
