Unbelievable! I had no idea that grass snakes could take so long to eat their prey. I suspect that this is not without danger for the snake, because it could probably easily be preyed on by a fox or marten.

Thanks! It was a tiring job because the fight lasted so long. I filmed most of the time lying on my stomach on the shore and had to hold the camera in my hands because I couldn't use a tripod.

Yeah,saw that on discovery.Eventhough ,the intension of the other frog had nothing to do with the other snake being eaten.It was more of a territorial behaviour by the other frog and fortunately,the other frog life was speared.....nature

I also thought while filming that the frog will escape.

If I had saved that frog, the snake would have eaten another frog to satisfy its hunger afterwards. And the rescued frog might have eaten a butterfly afterwards to satisfy his hunger. So in the end I wouldn't have prevented animals from being eaten. That is why man should not interfere with nature.
