So happy RU-vid suddenly recommended this channel in my feed. I am now studying this 3rd episode. Thank you so much for making all these videos for us beginners ❤❤
Hello Sir, Thank you so much for your excellent teaching style. I’m a retired scientist and my new hobby is drawing, I believe this hobby will keep me busy while enjoying my retirement. Cheers
I'm so grateful for your classes, you have no idea. I've been fighting with a tremendous art block and deppresion por a long, long while. And hearing you telling us to not worry so much and not stress so much about perfectionism is just... really helpful. Thank you so much. I'm a self-taught artist and these are my first art classes from another person. I'm very happy you exist.
This is great stuff, as a musician who wants to start flexing the pencil, I appreciate this vastly, and for free as well! Thanks to you and your fantastic moustache.
Thank you so much for writing such a generous comment! I’m truly humbled and grateful to be able to help other artists like yourself progress forward on their own creative journeys!
You just made my day! Thank you so much for watching and drawing along with me! I’m so excited you’re exploring your passion for drawing! What a great gift you are giving yourself!❤️😀
I just want to say, even if you dont see this, thank you very much. This series/playlist is helping me majorly as its one of few places where i found real information
thank you for making the time to teach me I have been struggling to learn drawing but I couldn't find a one source that can help until I found your channel .thank you very much.
I have always wanted to draw ..and did so too but never really learned. Going through your classes now, thankyou for keeping them free. You are an amazing teacher with a big heart.
In the first or second class, you mention if you can draw shapes you can draw. I doodle shapes very often so it made sense when you showed everything is made out of shapes and it clicked in my head and I am now enjoying the rest of your course so thanks again.
Honestly, i prefer when you studio had all kind of stuff like a basement. It was giving a more private and home atmosphere then studio, But anyway thanks for another lesson
I appreciate the efficiency of these videos. Even during the warm-up sections you mention smaller subjects like drawing technique and the way habits can affect you. I cannot stress how many times keeping my hand on the paper has smeared my novice creations.
So surprised there’re so little views. This is an amazing course for beginners, especially once you get through talking and theory to actual exercises it’s so fun and helpful. Thank you, teacher! ❤
the best drawing series thank you for your efforts.... a request : Can we all please have animation drawing series like how should we draw cartoons and animation stuff like motion and all love from India ❤
I just drew a woman's hair, for each side I used one of these methods, blending on one side and hatching on the other. and God Damn... Is it working... Yes it is, Yes IT IS. Am I getting better... Yes I am, YES I AM... Am I so freaking happy right now that I'm finally able to do this... Hell yes I am 🎉
I see from the comments that people are still discovering you, so I'm thinking quite seriously about the course. I have to convince my husband first, and to that end I am working on the class sketchbook. PS: I loved seeing Edie last week. I should tell you, women are known to look at babies longer than at anything else, so if her appearance becomes a tradition, you'll have the same trouble getting rid of the Chat group at the end of every lesson.
I just started using your classes today, I watched the first and the second, and now I'm going to watch this one. I'm already seeing improvement in my drawings. Thank you for taking the time and making these videos. Your encouragements really help.
I never had an interest in drawing until a few months ago, now I want to learn and your classes are great, I draw like a 6 year old so I will repeat every class a bunch of times in the future lol, but I don't want to give up, thanks for the lessons, great teaching
Wow! This is sooo exciting for me to hear! Thank you for sharing it with me!!! I’m sooo happy you’ve decorated an interest in drawing - it’s the best one - as far as I’m concerned! 😂❤️
Thank you for these nicely arranged classes! Love your style and your concept of making this a better world through art. Already my 3rd class without speeding up or fast forwarding the video, haha! Higly recommended to friends!
I know this comment comes in pretty late and you probably won't see it but I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this. I really wanted to get into drawing but felt overwhelmed and confused because I was starting from zero and couldn't find a good guide in how I should structure the start of ny art journey. This has helped me so much
Wow! Thanks for the generous comment! I'm too grateful you found the channel and that I can help you along your creative journey! I can't wait to see what you make a little further down the line as you gather more and more skills to express yourself!
I always liked to draw, but until now I never did learn it "properly". So I really do appreciate this whole course. Thank you so much. It does help a lot. :)
Drawing has also made a huge impact on my photography! It has increased my ability to recognize the subtleties in a given setting when I’m shooting photography, helped me learn about shadows and how they’ll throw themselves depending on the lighting etc, & helps me “connect the dots” in way also. Dope! I appreciate your vids!
I just started this series yesterday, my goal is to get through at least 2 a day. Thank you so much for posting these! I’m grateful for the free lessons 😄
vantablack is copyrighted,, next thing musou black, vatablack is NOT REALLY A Paint, MORE of a nanotube application.. both just absorb light, hard to explain
Micheal, my daughter and I have been doing your tues class ❤ and today I wanted to send you my warmup drawing we did from episode 13 and see what you think of my warmup technique. How do I send you a photo
Should I be standing for these classes, drawings? I think it would be better. Guess I’ll try it! Found this recently and am loving it. Wish I could catch up and do live with a real class! Is that possible?
This class was very difficult cuz u have to put in so much effort to put all the lines and dots.. i hope sometime drawing will getg more relaxing and not so stressful for me
on 27:22 i have a question, ive been drawing with the use of chicken scratch all my life, and due to that ive been drawing with my hand on the page, would you consider chicken scratch a bad habit for drawing? (plz note im only taking this course to relearn art but some of my habits are so deep set it doesnt feel natural to not do them)
something i noticed during the warm up is my arm felt sorta confused when doing them backwards or upside down. like a sort of uhh sensation where i wasnt quite sure how to make the motions at first
day 1: sketching. supplementing my 3D design, rendering, and composition work in Plasticity, F360, Solidworks, Blender, Substance Painter, and Affinity Photo2. as an experienced designer, engineer, and fabricator strongly believe that the ability to communicate effectively via sketching is a base skills for all humans. thanks Mark!
Thank you for putting this course together, working my way through it slowly - just to say though, it was the Manchester Free Trade Hall where someone in the Dylan croud called out 'Judas'! The bootleg that live recording appeared on was mistakenly called the 'Royal Albert Hall' concert for a long time before people figured out it was actually from a show in Manchester. Still, Royal Albert Hall is an amazing venue, and an amazing part of London to study near!
Day 3- and i did the table well along with ya and but my hands were kind of tired by the time you reached the cubes part- so Mine didn't turn out so well. but i am learning thanks to you to not pay mind to the visuals of things especially in the learning stages. and I have to say of all the several classes on art/drawing I've ever taken in my life (including school & others) you're the only one, Mike, who has explained the value scale so well that I understood without any problems. I remember learning this in school but never really understood it was never able to actually progress ahead of this part ever. thank you again, the fact that this is for free blows my mind. you're doing god's work mike... sorry if this long, and you'll probably see comments of mine on each and every lesson, lol.
Thank you for posting all of these beginning fundamentals instructions. I'm just now finding these and have gotten so much out of these lessons. Again, thank you. I appreciate you so much for this.
Thank you soo much sir..I've always wanted to learn drawing but art courses are just so expensive and my parents can't afford it. I was so happy when I found this was free. I wish you all the success in the world sir❤
This classes are amaizing! thank you so much for making them! i usually paint more than draw, but for some time now i wanted to start learning how to do it properly , and your series popped on my yt! Thanks!
Thanks for watching and the great question! You can determine the direction of the light from the size and direction of the shadow on the opposite side of an object.
A good way to improve it, it's to draw the same figure (square, pyramid and circle) with the shadows changing the size and the position. When he finished drawing the first square with shadows, I tried to draw the same square but the shadows on the left side now, and after it, I tried to increase the size of shadow and square. My major difficult it's to paint the shadow... Omg, it's too much hard than either thing
