This business idea was presented to me by a client. Though I was a mechanic a long time ago, I prefer to keep my hands dirty working on my own cars while keeping my hands clean helping people fix their businesses.

Actually I have a client that is very successful with these numbers. He was tanking before.

What's the name of the company? I know of about at least 10 mobile places that do it for less than 40 and 40 is the high end

The name I am not able to share due to our confidentiality agreement. What I can say is that they charge around $80 and can actually afford to stay in business. The math does not support $40. Especially if you have employees. There will always be somebody willing to do jobs like this on the cheap. And they will rarely, if not barely, survive. The race to the bottom is not something I wish my clients to partake in.

your a great guy showing everyone what is a great price.. and believe me $36, i would of charged $56-68 for starters, and worked my way up to the big league, and mobile is convenient and peace of mind... i am thinking of starting this up drawing the draft part of the business, but on the other side Mobile Auto (which includes like fixing brakes, wheel bearing, etc.. to changing a few tires, selling it all and making it again i say Convenient with Oil & Filter Change at a set base rate for both Conventional, High Mileage, and Full Synthetic Motor Oil, but for now step is starting up and sending the word out, i have sent out a marketing survey out at a local area asking locals to fill out my questions even business that are 50-75 miles away... but anyhow i am just looking into this first i have the start up cost, who i should hire...
