I mean professional art materials are expensive for a reason and to be honest he didn't do the expensive pencils justice because the drawing was so simple, those expensive pencils are capable of making work so detailed you would think it was a photo. Creativity matters a lot but just like in the film world there's simply things you just can't do on a smart phone vs a $50k camera rig
Creativity matters. "Skills" are earned by perseverance. Using ketchup as red paint requires imagination and creativity to utilize it outside its expected usage.
Amazing skill on both sides! I always tell my students any good artist with skill can make cheap art supplies work for them. It might not be as quick or as pleasant of an experience, but their skill will still shine through
