I have been asking now for at least 3 years for you to draw the universal monsters as disney princesses or at least pretty princess's I know you say you want us fans to share our ideas and I have been trying
Mercury Poisoning! Lol, that's where the Mad as a Hatter expression came from, because the materials used to make hats back in the day were toxic! And one of the symptoms was pale, pallid skin. I absolutely LOVE the corpse bride in your Disney Princess style 🥺so soft and elegant, just perfect 💙💜
I was going to mention the products being poisonous or toxic, but I did not know the exact element! Great work! As a side note, I read somewhere that silver poisoning can give people a blueish hue to the skin. Like, reeeeally blue. Do you know if it is true?
@@TorayaNekoi It is not. Silver isn't toxic. That said, some silver alloys can stain the skin blue, and overuse of silver salts or colloidal silver can also have that effect.
I love how with each Friday video, you explain your thought process on how to add both original and creative elements to your piece. It's inspiring. Will we see these three on merchandise in your store? I'd love to wear a shirt with Princess Jacqueline (Jack) for Halloween.
Can Disney just create an undead royal family with their own story, including an undead Disney princess? Emily from the Corpse Bride really just got me to think about this as you drew her.
Mei Yu , I love everything about your designs and character re-creations. I would love to see a gender swap for Hocus Pocus if you ever got a chance...especially with the upcoming holiday. Please keep up the great work and DRAW ON!!!
You should totally draw the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus as Disney princesses for Halloween. The sequel is coming out and it would be a cool way to celebrate the premiere of the film.
One Tim Burton character you need to do is Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. Another one that might be interesting is Icabod Crane or the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow.
Maybe Emily could be the princess of the Haunted Mansion. Of course if she's undead, she would hang out with Madame Leota and probably be wary of Constance, the ghost bride, and dance with the ghosts. What do you think?
This was incredible. Tim Burton's characters are so intriguing and have interesting stories as well as have a great art style for his animated ones. I also really love Disney princesses a lot since I'm a Disney kid. So its really nice to see draw some of Tim Burton's charters as Disney princesses since they will definitely have a unique twist to the classic Disney princess look. Emily's (aka The Corpse Bride) looks like she's a gothic beauty who isn't afraid to show some of her more bright and gentile side, plus I really love hoe she still maintains that wonderful beauty and mystery while still being a zombie and I could definitely see her as a lovely princess of the night. Jack Skelington's looks like she's an amazing sophisticated beauty who loves to show her impressive leadership skills with some style and grace, plus I really love the simplistic monochrome colour scheme that really ties to the character and really shows how she's the princess of Halloween. Mad Hatter's looks like she's an abstract/creative artist who loves to show her whimsical and crazy side as well as her style that shows how she's an interesting person to get to know, plus I really love how her tiny hat really compliments her wild hair and colourful makeup that somehow makes her look so cute. This was definitely a fun video and Its hard to pick a favourite since I love all of the designs from this video, but If I really had to choose...Id say that Emily's (aka The Corpse Bride) was my favoutite because her design is so simple but still shows some great details and she's just so beautiful and a wonderful character. I'd definitely be interested in seeing a part 2 to this and Id love to see you try to turn Sally and Coraline into Disney princess since they are some of my favourite Tim Burton characters. Great job as always Mei and I can’t wait to see what you draw next.
Can you do more cartoons in Tim Burton style, like: - Strawberry Shortcake - Winx Club - Despicable Me - Arthur - Total Drama - The Brave Little Toaster - The Busy World of Richard Scarry and - Happy Tree Friends?
Love your take on these characters tho it’s weird to see Jack with arms that aren’t bone. And while I can understand why you made the mad hatters hat smaller, I still would have loved how you’d have done the piece if the hat had been the star. 😆
This is so beautiful! Please tell me these will be in your shop as T-Shirt designs?? I want Emily as a Disney Princess on a T-Shirt for this Halloween! 💀🦋🎃✨
Mei Yu, you did an amazing job making Tim Burton characters as Disney Princesses. You're such a beautiful, adorable, and creative artist with a lot of talent.
Thank you, they were really neat! I loved all of them. My favorites out of all of them are the Corpse Bride Princess and the Mad Hatter Princess. They were beautiful, cool and adorable. Looking forward to next week.
I think the skin is pale from the hat making process? I think the mercury and chemicals in the processes back in the day used to cause skin pallor, nail issues, and other unpleasant side effects.
Inspired and ready for a drawing/colouring weekend, loved the corpse bride and jack,i love those characters and movies, and the fun2draw eyes on the teapot, soooo adorable, congrats on the 1000th video and thank you for those short vids they made my week. take care.
HAPPY 1000TH VIDEO ✨🎉 Ahhh I love how you keep Jack Princess design bold as it shows that beauty comes from everywhere....I love these videos and designs so amazing!!
This is super awesome~🙏 I really love the Corpse Bride's design! 💙 Congratulations on 1,000 videos! Here's to another 1,000 more! Can't wait to see all of them 😁
Congrats on the 1000 videos!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 My favs were Corpse Bride and Jack!!! …though I would love to see you make something, anything with Dreamworks Trolls? Please Mei? 🙏🏻🥺
This was definitely a Fun-Loving Fun Friday. A combination of Princess and the epic world of Tim Burton. And if I was ever honored to meet one of the Princesses, it would definitely be The Corpse Bride herself, Emily
Emily: Princess Emilia. Jack Skelton: Princess Jackie. Mad Hatter: Princess Madeline Hatter-Kingston. (She is married to Alice' s twin brother Kevin Kingston)
Oh, oh, oh, second comment now that this video has ended. I wanna see Beetlejuice, Sally (it's only fair, you did Jack in this one lol) and (specifically) the Michelle Pfeiffer Cat Woman as Disney princesses! They would be absolutely fantastic, especially with the fact that Burton's Cat Woman literally stapled her outfit together and is just so amazingly unique!
Very cool reimagined characters! I definitely think the Mad Hatter's transformation was the most striking due to the fact that more color was involved than with the previous 2 designs & the fact that the outfit turned out both chaotic and well put together (the bottom of the dress was a very cool design)! I do wish the advertisement was only done once instead of several times repeatedly but it was still very fun to watch Mei's creative process unfold. Fun video!
Nifty! I think my favorite this time is Jack Skellington. She's the most unique and the monochrome is just a nice change of pace. Also, that one is kind of cute. :D As for why the Mad Hatter princess was so pale, I thought either it was because his character was pale in the Tim Burton movie or maybe it was a reference to Pennywise the Clown, who has white make-up and similar hair. I'm not sure.
im absolutely baffled!!! i used to watch you soooo much like 10 years ago.. you inspired me to draw! i watched your vids of drawing cute food or how to draw anime and things like that. idk how i forgot you! but here you are on my feed 💖 with out you i dont think id be where i am today in my art!!!
Can you try to draw disney twisted wonderland characters into princesses? I am really into that game. All the Students because it's a magic training school and all of the students are guys.
I'm also kind of gearing up for a Halloween mood, and your designs are really helping with that. I especially love the shading on Emily, the bat collar and monochrome skirt on Princess Jack, and the colors and hair on Princess Mad Hatter.
Considering the fact that Halloween is practically a month away, the timing for such a video could not be more impeccible, especially since it happens to be my most favorite holiday right next to Christmas. :D
Just watched you turn The Lion King into Tim Burton's style. Really love the concept. Would LOVE to see what your rendition of what Beauty and The Beast would look like if done by Tim Burton.
Wow, congrats on 1000 videos, Mei!! That's an incredible milestone! 👑 Watching you turn Tim Burton on his head and spinning him around a la Disney was amazing! 😍 Beautiful stuff, and wonderfully inspiring!!!
Sally should be next as a Disney princess, as well as Coraline from Tim Burton films. Also...hoping to see more of Disney Princesses as Witches in October!
Coraline was made by Henry Selick, who also gave us Monkeybone. He worked with Tim Burton on Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as working without Tim when Tim left to go work on Batman Returns
I love this,I love Tim Burton,I also love the Disney Princesses and Nightmare Before Christmas is also Disney. In other words this is awesome.😁👏 Good job!👍👍👍👍 I especially love how you made a female version of Jack Skellington as a Disney Princess,I can also imagine that's what one of Jack and Sally's daughters would look like.😁
I had a thought. I know you did Cartoon characters a while back, but what if you did other Cartoons from other countries? Like.. Wakfu from France, or Rugrats 🤷🏼♀️
I'd love to see Victoria from Corpse Bride as a Disney Princess! She's my favorite character in the whole movie ^^ Or how about Elsa Van Helsing from Frankenweenie, Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows, or Sweeney Todd from Sweeney Todds as Princesses?
That's amazing to watch. Call me crazy, but I'd like to see Lydia Deetz as a princess along with Beetlejuice, Katrina Van Tassel, and Oogie Boogie. As for your next video, I'd like to suggest characters as Sailor Guardians as an idea.
My one tiny nitpick is I wish Corpse Bride (Emily) had a blue butterfly instead of the skeleton bird. Throughout the movie Emily is sorta represented by butterflies, and even when she finally finds peace, she gracefully turns into a bunch of butterflies that fly off. But again just a tiny nitpick detail, and butterflies don't exactly make good animal sidekicks lmao. Overall love LOVE her design and everyone else's. Great video!!
Oh my God. How have I only now found you?! I've only seen the Corpse Bride so far, and she is so beautiful!! I would love to see what you do with taking ALL Tim Burton characters into the Disney animation style as coloring books, that would end up making me spend a LOT of money lmao!
Could you please do Edward Scissorhands, it's 1 of my all time favourite Tim Burton movies, your work is amazing and it really interests me to see where you could take his character 😀😀😀😀
Well you asked us to comment about why you made Princess Hatter's skin so pale....Is it because of the white makeup that Johnny Depp's version of Hatter wears in the movie?? Sort of remeniscient of Marie Antionette.
I've really been enjoying watching through a ton of your Fun Friday videos! I'm always amazed at the designs and the dimension you get from your coloring. And these pictures are no exception! I especially like Mad Hatter. I wanted to point out (since I'm an animal nerd) that birds have these really cool bone structures called keels rather than ribs like many other animals. It looked like you added ribs to your cute skeleton bird, so I wanted to share with you. :) Keep up the good work!!
