The look on your face when you saw your own sketches! OMG That is me to a tee. HAHA I felt like I could relate so much. I haven't been serious about my art and have taken a break for over 10 years and I feel like I can't stand anything I draw right away. Proportions and colors feel like I'm a complete beginner all over again. I'm liking my work more when I redraw it again and again though so there is hope! Thank you for your honest view of yourself :)

Noiceee that's good to see. Yess sheet of papers definetly helps. I am a bit further away with the drawing journey, but I do remember the stacks of sheets of paper for the first couple of years. It wasn't until 4-5 years later (2018-2019) is when I actaully decided to get sketchbooks. But yeah. It removes the barier of perfection. Keep on going

I also found its easier to draw on a piece of paper! (if i draw something i particularly like i cut it out and then put it in my sketchbook and it has the added benefit of me feeling better about whats in there lol)

Honestly you should just sketch Everything! Anything around you. There should be no difference for you from one thing to another. The subjects are all just put together out of different abstract shapes which appear in Everything. As long as you sketch what you see it should not matter at all what it is.
