Hello hello!
A few weeks earlier, I got a new ipad! My brain was a bit too scattered so I will put this here! One reason that really pushed me to get a new ipad was because everytime I hit the 32GB limit. procreate would force close! Sometimes when I reopened the drawing I was working on, there would be a square chunk just gone! I thought that I could just keep offloading my drawings off to my gdrive but I gave in and got a new one with more space! Next time I will try to talk about it more coherently!

I didnt realize how disjointed the explanation part was so here we go! 1. How long did you have your old ipad for: almost 3 years! 2. Why did you buy the 32GB initially?: Wasn't planning on making it my main drawing tool, was only meant for drawing during travel. Also price was more affordable 3. Why did you upgrade now?: 32GB started to become more of a hassel even though I could move a lot of my files to a google drive. Also when I hit the MAX storage, procreate would sometimes take a chunk of my drawing when loading the canvas.. I dont want to lose progress. 4. Why 10.2 gen 9 vs 10.9/ipad air/ipad pro? I didn't need the size upgrade, didnt care about colour, didnt need the other features that chip provides! 10.2 was more affordable and compatible with what I already had. I am 1000% happy with the 10.2 ipads! 5. How did you transfer your Procreate files: Ipad had a way to load everything from an old ipad to a new one! It copied literally everything, same settings, wallpaper, apps, Procreate brushes and settings. So no issue! Hope that will clear a few things up!

Just buy an sd card what?? Ipads are so expensive, why get another one if you could just buy an sd card for extra storage

For me, it's definitely more for space and graphics for art than anything when it comes to looking for a device. Currently - since 2020 - I've been using my S6 Lite. It has 64GB and a slot to put an SD if need be. It has a 10.4" display and the color spec are just *chef's kiss*. I mostly now use Krita bcs I'm broke and also would love to support the developers in the future! I also just bought a pen tevlet (Deco MW from XP-Pen) for my laptop that I bought about 2 weeks ago for school. I feel kinda bad for buying it (even though I AM AN ADULT) but I honestly do that for everything I buy, especially when it's a bit pricey so I felt that. 😭 Also glad to see you doing well. Also currently working on a OC for my Design class so hopefully that goes well🌟

Hey, Few days ago I went into a samsung store coz I wanted to physically look at the s6 lite, it was solid! But the display kinda disappointed me especially when I compared it to the s7 fe, not the size but the colors it produced, maybe due to the TFT screen, so I went on and bought a second hand ipad 7 cause I was tight on my budget. I really wish samsung makes a budget tablet for digital art with good displays, the s7fe is so expensive for the specs it provides.

@@abanana2859 Yeah, that's why I got the S6 Lite because it was around $200+ on Black Friday in 2020. I want to get an iPad maybe a 10th generation but that's already expensive

Sometimes I do miss the 'grip' and sound of the matte screen protector, but i quickly get over it because my current glossy one doesnt degrade my iPad Pro's gorgeous miniLED color displays. I think someday you will learn to ditch the matte/Paperlike screen protector either. Less accesory to depend on

I have so much respect for how committed you are to your OCs! I understand that drawing them is part of your job, but as someone who has had many OCs over the course of my drawing life who i’d draw obsessively for a few weeks and then forget about completely, it’s really inspiring to see your love for Masaki and the others!! ❤️❤️

Hahaha...I dont think I give enough love to my OCs ; v ; but thank you so much!! I think there is nothing wrong drawing a certain character then kind of not drawing them as much later! Maybe you prefer the designing process and that honeymoon phase with the design propels you to draw it a lot more! There is nothing wrong with that 😊💕

I got the same IPad earlyer this year! (Before all the discounts XD, but I “needed” it when I did) My first iPad, I used to only be able to use computer for digital. It’s a great model, and works perfectly fine! Only difference is I’ve yet to buy procreate, and I use a regular screen protector, (I’m a bit clumsy and I wanted the extra protection).

Lovely art as always !! I love how warm the aura is 😭💕 Honestly, I can also relate to the tablet issue. Originally, I only wanted to use the iPad for drawing, but soon I moved over to the iPad completely for a while. Because of that, space became an issue with 32 gb

I’m facing the exact same problems with my iPad as you were! I’ve had this iPad for nearly 4 years so I don’t think more than 32GB was even available back then, might be wrong though. It’s gen 6. I’ll also be getting a gen 9 10.2 for Christmas so this video is very on brand for me lol

not at all! I think because apple has a way to transfer literally everything from one ipad to another, there was no issue!! Drawings, layers, brushes, settings, everything was transfer and were exactly the same!
