Even though I can't afford to take the knotted lock training...I would love to see you do a couple of them so we can see how it's done! Not everyone will be able to afford the training, but would like to see how it's actually done! her videos move so fast, you can't see or get an idea what it's all about! My thought is to just tie your lock in a knot and adjust the line up of it to keep it consistent 🙏🏽
I tried knotting the roots of several of my and my daughter's locs and it went well. So far, I've retouched them twice and I even knotted within the loc body to sure up some areas of my locs that were thinner along the loc strand and they look and feel more secure. I've not been trained but, I am curious and just decided to give one loc knot a try after I worked through the first one I got bolder and e ded up knotting about 20 locs😅. My roots felt bumpy because the little knot was there and I often like to massage my scalp so that took some getting used to but before I knew my locs grew away from my scalp and I had new growth again. I don't knot too close to my scalp because afterwards it can feel sore. I prefer knotting some locs and interlocing others. All on all I love the flexibility. Finally touching up my daughter's locs went way faster than interlocking. I'm doing touches on her and myself every 3- 4 months now.
One drawback might be, the only way to take them out if you should change your mind about having locs, would be to wait for a lot of new growth, then cut them off. I don’t think you could pick them out the way that you can with interlocked locs or palm rolling. But this may not be a dealbreaker for a lot of us!
I have sisterlocks now I would love to transition to knotted locks there isn’t enough detail on how it’s done or anybody to them can you give me any ideas
You need to look at the videos on the channel. I've talked about it several times. Also search knottedlocs on Instagram and .com on Google for Melissa Blake's website.
