Well, there’s this space under my house which connects to a closet or cabinet or something which connects to the attic and some sort of window I never noticed where Jacob can live
Drawfee: "What would our new jobs be?" Julia: "I'd still be planning that." Karina: "Arm candy to a fictional, cool character." Nathan. "I'd live in a zoo." Jacob: "V E N T M A N"
Jacob: "I've only ever said facts, ask a scientist." Me, a scientist, ready to support him: "He's r--" Jacob: *promptly insults scientists* Me: "Rude. He's rude."
I’m not gonna lie, this episode was actually very helpful for me. I have a really really big fear of home invasion. ESPECIALLY the idea of someone living in my house without me knowing. It sends shivers up my spine and my body goes completely numb whenever I see my reflection in the dark because I don’t recognize it as myself. The next time this fear starts acting up, I’m just going to tell myself “oh that’s just Jacob from the drawfee program. I wonder when he’ll introduce me to his producers.” Thanks Jacob.
Hi from the future! Idk if you've seen the Merobiba episode, but friends and I now use the term "merobiba" as slang for any joke or content that helps us put a positive spin on a negative emotion. So I love that you shared this video helped you (I think that's awesome), and I just want to spread the slang usage by letting you know that you can now use the shorthand term "it's a merobiba" if you're ever articulating how this video serves you lol
*gently places trail of crust crumbs leading from the vent to the fridge containing the leftover pizza* *Rearranges fridge magnets to say "all yours Jacob* Husband: who's Jacob? Me: don't worry about it.
“He’s the vent man and all he desires is sandwiches and pizza- he won’t harm us” Edit- I should also say I can only imagine the phrase “don’t worry about it” in one specific way and it makes it even funnier.
Drawfee episode: Opens with loss of employment, jokes about isolation chambers, someone's recovering from being sick. Me: *looks at publish date* Me: oh no.
The new cinematic universe- The Unemployed: What if you lost your job and never got a real one again? Their premier movies are: Vent Gremlin- A horror movie, Starring Jacob The 30-year-old Unemployed Exhibit Man- A comedy, Starring Nathan Anime Arm Candy- A romance, Starring Karina I'll decide eventually, I swear.- A tragedy, Starring Julia
I'm so glad the community came together in such a visible way so that you know how much we're rooting for you. Unemployment is scary to go through, but I'm glad you have a community that is already looking out for Patreon links.
The idea of them hanging out in Jacob and Julia’s apartment still making videos literally made me cry a little. I’m just so happy they’re actually friends and still making content. This silly channel means a lot to me and knowing y’all are sticking together through this makes my heart so relieved.
Jacob: "I only ever say facts." Also Jacob: "Live everyday like it's Nuesday, because it could be and probably is." I guess everyday is now officially Nuesday.
Julia’s “I have many a skill that I’ve learned, but I’m too stressed out and terrified all the time to be able to employ any of them” feels so so relatable rn
I mean, employed drawfee was similar in energy, just higher budget. Plus, top ramen slaps, especially with friends. Go for chicken flavor. Or shrimp. My favs.
Everything about this situation sucks, but here are some of the bright sides: 1. We still have these amazing people drawing for us on the internet to make us laugh and who we will support 2. We have 2 amazing new producers 3. Seto Kaiba is confirmed real now, so maybe more anime is real
"The unskilled thirty year old will stay asleep until 2PM unless roused by the need to go to the bathroom." Why you gotta be spitting hot truths right at my soul like that?
For something that was recorded in Jacob and Julia's apartment, I think it was awesome! Sound was crisp clear, the drawings were just as smooth and fun as usual. I don't see much of an issue, here!
Euclidean Alexis well, I distinctly remember Karina stealing a microphone as they cleared out of the office, in the last video. So thank her for the crisp sound I guess. lol
Sure, one person could be Karina's sugar daddy, OR, all of us could be all of your sugar daddies. That's like a million potential sugar daddies. Make a patreon
Every video they have put out since the announcement I have told them to make a patreon. I don’t know why they don’t. Lol so many RU-vid channels do it. It isn’t a big deal, it’s the most efficient way for people to show support!
This is MY Drawfee comfort video, Jacob in the walls, Nathan in a zoo, Karina being Kaiba’s sugar baby, Julia as a conspiracy theorist, the fact that it’s all connected through vents, the supreme episode
snukastyle Yeah. Dang it’s been a long time. I was here when it started as just a little thing Nathan and Caldwell did in the morning, and it was on the Collegehumor channel. Now it’s its own channel with years of art.
Drawfee Gets New Jobs Jacob: Unemployed(living in vents) Nathan: Unemployed(living at zoo) Karina: Unemployed(negging Kaiba) Julia: Unemployed(making plans)
When I first encountered drawfee, I assumed it was just some bored artist friends that challenged eachother to do weird stuff and made into videos with surprisingly high production value and now I realize I was simply too early. Y'all should draw your new producers
It's so homey! It allows me to imagine an Extreme Sitcom Scenario where the entire Drawfee crew moves into one apartment after getting laid off and proceeds to have wacky dumb hijinks for approx. 22 minutes once a week.
Just want to say we all appreciate you guys. I'm sure everyone would've understood if you guys needed some time off to deal with all the crap recently but you all just keep on going and making great content. Thank you for giving us the gift of what is quite possibly the most chill thing on youtube
Love how everyone supports karinas love and joy that she gets from drawing kaiba and like. Self insert stuff. Like so many people make fun of that sorta stuff but its so harmless and fun and its genuinely sweet
Every time I rewatch this, I remember how much I love them whistling through the graveyard. “Hey, we’ve just had our financial security yanked out from under us in the most expensive city in the US. Let’s panic-but make it funny.”
Nathan: “Some tropical plants...” Jacob: “Yeah, to make you fell at home.” Nathan: “Well, because it’s the zoo...” Karina: “Yeah, to make you feel like you’re at the zoo.”
I started watching Drawfee and College Humor when I got out of rehab and was looking for a job. For the past 4 years you guys have been important to me. I know we've never met, and this is totally one sided, but your videos helped me through a really dark time in my life and I wanted to sincerely thank you for making them all these years. Whatever happens, I wish you all the best. -Celesta
They might all be going through different stages of grief. Karina is in denial with her Kaiba fantasy, Julia is bargaining through different ways to fix the situation, Jacob is in an awkward depression where he hides in peoples walls apparently, and Nathan accepts his fate and now lives in a zoo.
Julia: That right there is the plan. Now lets talk about the plan, can we talk about the plan please, Jacob? I’ve been dying to talk about the plan ALL DAY! Jacob: ...holy shit Julia
In the words of my dad, when bad things happen that are out of your control, you can either laugh about it or cry about it. And I'm glad the Drawfee crew have decided to laugh about it and keep going.
@@theWeaverofTales This is true, many facts aren't good. They're usually objective at best, and disheartening at worst. And the part about how no one should ever quote him is also true, especially if it's the same quote twice in one comment.
On top of Julia coming up with her job plans. Shes also trying to figure out how Jacob get access to all the vents in the area and how he travels so fast from one part of town to the zoo or Kaiba corp.
@@blenderowl6495 Yeah, a shooting is shooting something, with guns ,arrows etc, usually guns here. Firing can be firing a gun but also means laying off/being let go from your job. (If in case you mean by not an English major also a 2nd language, it's def something my own husband has gotten confused by terminology wise being ESL.)
Imagine living in a world where entertainers can make make content that tens and hundreds of thousands of people consistently enjoy yet still dont make enough to be considered "profitable." The fact that this happens makes me wanna cry.
So one night some years ago an entire pot's worth of stroganoff went missing from my kitchen. No one knows what happened to it. I forget about it periodically but Vent Man reminded me. Where did it go? Was it ghosts? Was it Jacob?
"Unskilled 30-year-old" *draws awesome composition and adorable cartoonwork in like 10m or so* NATHAAAAAN. You're a cool, funny, SKILLED lad, and I love you. Hope you all come through okay, just waiting for a good way to support you guys.
I actually discovered Drawfee while I was unemployed early last year and it actually helped me a lot and has been a real source of happiness for me since then. I am confident that these guys are going to be just fine.
I really wanna see a webcomic of the drawfee crew in these jobs just, like, hanging out after hours, using the Jacob tunnels to hang out with each other.
