Every time I think I'm good at Lightburn I watch a new video and my jaw drops like the creator is God and I'm watching someone make fire for the first time. Insane. I love this and love the software. Takes me from being an idiot with a laser to a damn genius.
I have never heard of light burn software but I have been trying to make a rattan cane repeating pattern print in adobe illustrator for awhile now and your video helped me so much thanks!
I'm so thankful that you have a RU-vid channel, I'm new to engraving and lightburn and have watched all your videos. I may be 34 years old but technology is still something way above my head especially when it comes to computers and software. You would think I was born in 1932 how far behind I am. But I'm learning, and I'm learning a lot more because of your videos. I cant tell you how many times that controlled I would have been so useful. I have scraped many projects and just said to myself it cant be done I cant cut, this line and I tried that control t but I was clicking it. Everytime you put something in these videos about how to use the controls my "game" on lightburn significantly goes way up. AND nobody wants to be that annoying person that knows nothing about computers on a forum or page. Would it be too much too ask, if you just did a video on all the hot keys, what they actually do, when they can be useful and all the controls. Cause like I said I learn so much from your videos on your software then I do any where else and you speak in a way even I can understand. If it would be possible it would be greatly appreciated by me and maybe many others like me that didn't grow up around computers but instead went fishing haha. But we are trying catch up with the times but in the end, we are like deer staring at headlights lucky to turn on the computer hahaha. But if you can't do this, I still appreciate all your videos, you're great!
Great tutorial. I wasn't look to make that pattern, but I discovered some tools and techniques Ive been searching for. Thanks again, and thanks such a great software package. (Looking forward to the galvo edition!)
WOW!!! Thanks for the videos, I have watched so many! I watched a lot of videos before my purchase, from other channels. Best by far! Of course, it should be, it's your software. I think we, well I did, when learning "about laser engraving" get the laser and the software mixed up, or think of them as one in the same. Laser is awesome, and you need to understand it..... but its the software, LightBurn (the brains that tell the arms and legs to move!). Your tutorial videos have been what I have needed educated on. Sorry old girl here and it just finally clicked for me ... I am an idiot! LOL. I've been going to leg doctors and I really needed a good shrink! LOL thanks :) I wonder if I am the only one to "just not connect those dots?" lol well, this video "snapped" me into place! More more more please!!
Right near the end in the green section you happened to delete one to many lines up near the top right corner at about the 24:47 mark. Good video regardless 😊
I just downloaded the newly released Lightburn Update Ver 1.1.02 on my Macbook Pro today (Mar 11, 2022). How is it that you have ver 1.1.03. Is this a new update for Windows users only?
do you know how to export SVG from Lightburn, so that it will be black outlined shapes? right now, if I export SVG from Lightburn, it is completely invisible. the shapes are there, because if I select the shapes in Inkscape, you can see there are things there.
