Pigpen was always my favourite. I remember one cartoon where, in the first frame, he exits his house all scrubbed and clean. Then he walks up the garden path gathering dirt until, in the final frame, he reaches the front gate a swirling mass of dust.
YES! Very glad this has returned, and a brilliant choice of subject. My Granddad liked to get me and my brother old VHS tapes of classic cartoons including Charlie Brown from car boot sales and charity shops. I'm not sure I had quite your level of artistic appreciation though, as the main thing I remember about it was nearly pissing myself laughing when there's a magic show and Charlie is selected from the audience with the words "yes, you...the boy with the large round head". I like to think I've moved on.
That is pretty funny. I still look up all the cartoon classics and watch one a day in the run up to Christmas. Charlie Brown is my favourite I think as well as 'The Box of Delights'.
@@marekl one of our family traditions has been to listen to 'A Carol Symphony' by Victor Hely-Hutchison on Christmas Day from which the theme tune to 'The Box of Delights' TV series was used. Merry Christmas cool dudes!
Brilliant drawing Marek. Yeah Vince Guaraldi's music inspired me to learn piano as a kid. Now I have that music stuck in my head of them all dancing. Christmas is Coming.
This was great! Really appreciate being reminded of Peanuts, and the soundtrack. It's so good. Favourite character is def the intellectual with generalised anxiety, Linus. The term "security blanket" originates from him, which I think is wild.
Grew up reading Peanuts, my love of it passed down from my Mum. There was a great Peanuts exhibition in London a few years ago that I really enjoyed. Favourite character is Woodstock.
More cracking stuff that immediately transported me back to my childhood. I am now going to try and find more Charlie Brown to watch over the festive period. And dig out my old Calvin & Hobbes books for a re read. Thanks Mr Larwood, a festive flashback we all deserve. Have a good one. CD#123
On an unrelated note, i wanted to tell you Mr. Larwood how much i enjoyed you in We are Klang, you were the best thing about it. Being Canadian I miss out on most brilliant English comedy, but I'm glad i got to see it. Also, you're painting is brilliant too! ✌❤

Catching up with your Mediocre Masterpieces and have loved them. About 20 seconds from the end I found myself repeatedly saying, "bauble!" out loud at my laptop. I got faster as the time was going down. No use to anyone. I'm glad you (cheated) managed to add it right at the end.
The Vince Guaraldi Trio soundtrack is a key part of my Christmas day. My sister and I listen while we cook the Christmas dinner. Happy Christmas Marek!
I was reading one about Woodstock starting his own farm the other day. He was driving a farm and growing his own radishes. It was very pleasing to read.
Peanuts is incredible. Favourite character most definitely Schroeder. If you’re getting back into the comics I’d recommend the hardcover collections by Fantagraphics. Beautiful books. Lovely drawing sir!

Merry Christmas. Yes the voice acting was great. I think the ones in the 60s sounded better than the modern ones, maybe because they were untrained actors and sounded more real.
The BEST picture choice to bring back this series! I also completely agree with you about not having a true appreciation for the humour and truth of Peanuts cartoons until you become an adult. Good to have you back on RU-vid, Marek!
Alright! I loved the cartoons. I was always confused with the name of it. I knew it as snoopy, my uncle would call it Charlie Brown and my teacher would call it Peanuts. I didn't know it was the same thing, whenever I would speak about the 'snoopy' cartoon they would interupt me and yak about another (but actually the same) cartoon. Completely shattering my confidence. My favourite character was the yellow thing, which I now know as Woodstock. Good drawing, good video. Tar man

Lovely stuff. It’s been far too long since I watched any Peanuts shows but, as for my fave characters, I recall particularly enjoying Woodstock and the unseen teacher with the muted trumped sound for a voice

This was cool, just like Charlie Brown who was just like everyone else. On the 18th of December could you do a Christmassy 'The Last Suppe' but with the faces of the Tory party? My favourite peanuts character was Peppermint Patty.
Five minutes to draw and talk at the same time stretched me to the very limits of my brain capacity. Normally I do 15 so I can edit out all the 'errrrrsss' and pauses but I thought it would be good to do an actual time one.
Same - came to help out by playin a video or two, but it’s turned into an all-out binge watch! Tho doesn’t matter how many times I see em, Mareks vids never fail to make me laugh 😁
Doing it is even more stressful. I was half way through filming this when I realised the cameras weren't running so had to start again. Then I got disturbed by the postman. This was my third recording.
