Leonardo ... you are very talented, and your English is good. You explain what you are doing very well, however, I would like to hear more of WHY you do certain things. For instance, why are there streaky shadows on your crystal ball? It will help your audience develop their artistic sight and, instead of imitating your drawing, draw their own creations. Thank you ... I enjoy your tutorials!
You are such an inspiration.I really love to draw during my high school days and my sister said I have potentials.I'm 47 years old now.after watching your videos just 2 days ago when you did the crystal ball,I was so amazed,it was perfect and looks so real crystal ball.today I went to buy drawing papers and pastel pencils because you inspired me to start drawing again after watching your videos.you are such a very good artist.I wanna be like you and as good as you someday.thanks for sharing your talent.
I have been working as an artist for 25 years and I retired and I have been missing it , now you have giving me the boost I need to start again . I think you are AMAZING!!!!!!!!
This man is so friendly and artistic. WOW! He must have been drawing for almost his whole life, I respect you and your art :) RESPECT! Have a nice day good sir and my fellow artists :)
I've just discovered your tutorials and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!! You have definitely inspired me to start studying sketching again. RU-vid is a wonderful tool for an instructor and a student. I am wondering what kinds of brushes are needed to smudge the pencil lead? Does it matter as long as it smudges? I've been known to be creative by substituting items needed to do certain things so I was just wondering how important it is to use a specific brush or could I make do with anything that works? This is probably a question for another video but what is the best way to protect a sketch once it is completed? I've found that leaving mine in my sketch book tends to smudge when I don't want them to smudge. Thanks! :)
A Master of the Workings of light and shadows to create illusion. Really inspired by your tutorials my friend, Thank you for giving time in making and sharing them with us.
GREAT tutorial! I am making Christmas paper out of grocery bags, and needed to know how to shade a round ornament. You rescued my project! Mucho thanks from Hawaii!

I am thinking of applying to go to art school for theatre and visual arts, and you are helping me put together my portfolio! I am definitely going to use your tips.
I've learn a lot from you through these passed years , you always make it easier then what it really looks , on top of that your attitude while you are drawing is amazing , you are changing me by sharing this with me and the world , even though i am in Africa , and it's hard for me to access to the internet , and i have to pay for it but i'm doing it because of you , you are so valuable to me
Its not hard to access the internet in Africa. Please do not disgrace us. And internet is cheap in Africa not expensive at all. Maybe it is your country. In Nigeria internet is readily available to everyone
it's matter of different perspective, and there you go you have said it !!! maybe in my country and maybe my situation isn't like yours , before you type anything i think you should think and try to use that head of yours , Nigeria is like any other shitty country in Africa , it's hard to find drawings tools plus a broke ass nigga can't access to the internet everyday Mr. i'm rich for life ,i'm so sorry for telling the truth about me being poor , can't pretend to be rich while i cant enough to eat , and if you can't handle the truth , would just shut the fuck up !!!
I realise this was posted 3 weeks ago but you either use photo reference, the actual object or you draw an arrow to show the direction the light is travelling and use that to decide where to put everything. You also need a general knowledge of how light and shadow forms on objects in order to colour this realistically. Very experienced artists do this in their heads which is why it sometimes looks like they're just doing it from scratch.
I don't like when people say things like "im so glad to see you" in a video, because a. you cant see me, so why say you can? It's disingenuous. and b. I really don't think you care if i'm here or not, you just want the views. Nice video though, it's just that forced politeness puts me on edge.
I guess his main goal is sharing his talent and skills rather than getting views in any unfair way...like using nudity pictures as a freeze frame. So why does politeness there seem strange? Maybe not the best expression, but nice anyway. What for to be so mean.
why pick on someone helping artists get better at drawing. also enforcing politeness is far far far positive that a stupid pointless comment of total negativeness. The point being "Always try to be polite even if you are not.! & Try to criticize the drawing not the person drawing it, because that's objectiveness " better enough= do not comment and enjoy the video .
I liked the crystal ball, and followed your suggestions but I didn't have a pastal pencil so i used white charcoal pencil and got nice effects thanx again for a great lession

Wow!!! Your drawing is so amazing!! I tried to draw it, but I didn't have any white pencil, and my paper was white.. Yes, it seems still like a ball, but not so fine than yours! Thanks for your tips!
That looks amazing by the way I love all your videos qnd I am very artistic so when I dont know what to draw I watch your videos and they inspire me so much! :)
Drawing is of course awesome, but I decided to comment because of something else. He looks like such a nice guy, I want to hug him while watching. I love this kind of people and I'm happy to see them in the internet! :D Best wishes Leonardo!
I really like your technique - it's clear and easily understood so that they can be applied to my own skill level Thank you for sharing This was awesome :)
