Idea on how you can mix it up. Instead of having the country wheel, have a capital city wheel then draw the country flag from memory so it also tests your capital city knowledge

one way to remember guyana: the triangle is on the left side because thats the side the flag pole would be, and having the green side with the pole wouldnt really make sense |🇬🇾 | this also works for countries like south africa, czechia etc

@@scouticescoutice4994 because the pennant pattern in the flag is also the part that connects to the pole. this way, it looks like the pattern is actually coming from the pole, and the other side could be longer, instead of the other way. what i mean is that the flag could have more green on the right side, instead of more red on the other side not sure how to explain it honestly so bare with me lol

I think a way you could mix it up might be difficult but could be fun. You and another person compete to see who can draw the flag most accurately and whoever does the point goes to them.

Easy way to remember the Gambian flag (or part of it, anyway): it has a thin blue horizontal stripe through the middle, just like the Gambia river which flows right through the middle of the country.

I literally just noticed that the red diagonal lines in the Union Jack are not centered within the white diagonal lines.. and that they don't go all the way through.. and that they don't even make a continuous line, but are offset! My life has been a lie :O

The red diagonals from the flag of St Patrick (Northern Ireland) are counterchanged with the white diagonals from the flag of St Andrew (Scotland) and surrounded by fimbrication (a white border) so the white diagonals are actually a mix of the Scottish flag and borders for St Patrick's flag. Fimbrication is also the reason the diagonals don't go all the way through, because the flag of St George (England) is fimbricated before being placed on top There's a great image somewhere on Wikipedia that highlights all the fimbrication in yellow which really helps understand how it's constructed
