I put my pencils down 16 years ago and went to work making art repairing people's shoes and leather belongings. This channel has inspired me to return to drawing, and im shocked at what the human mind can still do after all these years. This is a lot of fun.
"Bro, I have recently delved deeper into portraiture, particularly mastering the nuances of highlights and shadows. I trust you are a preeminent artist who can provide insightful critique." thank you 🖖🏻
Thank you for that lesson. Very valuable. I've seen many RU-vid artist that don't really care about teaching anything and just want to want to do hyper-lapsing videos without commentary. Then you end being a voyeur in an artistic endeavor. Me being an artist, I really appreciate hearing your thoughts as you produce your art. And your technique is remarkable.

I'm not a beginner, but I still learned several things from this video. It was fantastic. I hope one thing true beginners learned is patience. I've seen far too many beginners get frustrated and give up when aq drawing isn't working out after two or three hours. They need to realize that you can spend many days, or weeks, or even months on a drawing. I've know several artists who took a year to finish what would appear to be a simple drawing to anyone without experience. I've never done that, but I have had drawings take a hundred hours. I've had watercolors take as long. Never mind the ones I simply had to discard and start over after a lot of hours.
For someone with a Degree in Creative Enterprise I was never taught something that skilled. I wished I had been 7years ago because I actually do feel like a beginner when I compare my work to yours, what incredible patient artwork that is! I’ve learnt more than my 3 years in University 😂.
This so beautiful, I appreciate artists like you so much, the AMOUNT OF TIME, FOCUS, DEDICATED, ALL OF IT IS unbelievable. Something I will never be able to do.
I was amazed at everything i saw in the first video i watched from you, but this two parter has blown my mind. Your talent is something people like me wishe we could have. I wonder if they had people with your talent a few hundred years ago how much more realistic they would be in their portraits. Your art is so realistic and you should be commended on your skill.
You do quite well on your realistic drawings very incredible I watch your videos every so often whenever I catch him they are very nice and realistic Morgan Freeman is one of my favorite actors

Sheesh can't imagine since that I watched this video that pencil is more better than charcoal in making portraits. Love ur tutorial sir, and I learned alot.
I found from personal experience years ago that as my drawings got better they took longer an longer to do. At the end of the day its practice and time.
A great piece of work but surly it would of been better to of indented the texture as this works for skin as well as hair. The indenting will take more time but it will last unlike the gel pen. Again a great piece of work.
