Okay everyone, I think it's just that the color balance is like, way off in this video. You're not colorblind, she's not colorblind, just a misstep on the camera, editing, or her own monitor's color balance. If you pause at 6:07, you can see that the Facebook and Twitter logos don't look like their on-brand shades of blue, but rather, kinda purpley. Edit: Further proof, if you go to Paletteful Packs' own RU-vid channel and look at the video "October Paletteful Packs Unboxing & Demo with HulloAlice", you can ABSOLUTELY tell that all the supplies are, without a shadow of a doubt, blue. This is something DrawingWiffWaffles is gonna have to look into when making further videos. As said above, it's either faulty coloring on the camera, the monitor (which can skew color correction in editing), or editing.

My friend had these nice markers and there was one called “garnet”, but she was very upset because it was a very dull red (the kind you’d get in crayola) but I noticed she was using printer paper. So the next day I brought over my sketchbook that has really thiqq marker paper, and I swatched the markers and suddenly they were all super vibrant and pretty. So yeah... always test on your good paper.

uhh crayola colour pencils arent actually that dull, they have some pigments. You should watch SuperRaeDizzle‘s video because she usually does really expensive vs cheap and crayola is on there. I dont even know why I’m ranting on about this XD

When the inks are concentrated in their bottles, their colors look different to the actual colors put onto a paper, which is why they look purple-ish :)

Hi, I know this has nothing to do with this video but I’ve watched a lot of your videos before and I’ve noticed that you markers bleed through the paper and I’ve recently bought a Sketchbook called Crescent Rendr. It’s all media paper, and it could come in a hard cover just like how u like it 🙂. So I hope this helps out. ( I put this under this video so u would have a better chance of seeing if) HOPE THIS HELPS ❤️❤️💞

Second this recommendation. I’ve literally never had it bleed no matter what medium I use or how much I use. However, the paper has a bit of a strange reaction with water/watercolor in my experience. Water leaves a bit of a gray-tinted **stain** ? It doesn’t keep me from using watercolors, but I thought I’d throw it out there. Anyone else experience something similar, or is it just me?

Yes, Rendr sketchbooks are awesome for markers! You can even color on both sides, nothing ever bleeds through.

Using a different coloured paper is so interesting! I feel like it definitely gave it a tone it wouldn't have had if you had used white. I'm also surprised that the ink worked really well on it, I thought the paper may not have been the best quality but it looks like you've got the best of both worlds! Interesting, toned paper and the quality you want too! I've just bought a scrathmore mixed media sketchbook as I'm nearlllly done with my last sketchbook and i'm so excited to give it a try! Would you ever look into trying other toned papers too?

Especially with markers, it really helps keep all the colors cohesive. (i've only done it with regular toned paper, but it had that affect, so I imagine blue-toned would do the same) Nice! was the sketchbook a 400 series? that stuff can take a lot of abuse. I love it. I've only tried blue-toned and the basic toned. is there another I can try?! *googles

@@drawingwiffwaffles it's the 500 series, so I'm hoping it will take a lot of abuse, especially since I use a lot of mixed media. It's really expensive so hope it will be worth it. I have seen gray toned but I'm not sure if that would be too different to the blue.

I love the concept for this week's drawing! A white silhouette (silhouettes are usually black or a dark shade of some colour) against a dark background tied into a lightning theme. Brilliant!

Interesting fact I learned recently (I was reminded by the blue v purple comments) blue is actually the rarest natural pigment and most pigments we perceive as blue are actually a combination of either blue and violet or blue and cyan. Neither plants nor the human eye actually contain any blue pigment. Although, we do now have synthetic pigments that are true blue.

Because the Tombows are water based, you can blend them out with just a paint brush and water. It acts like water colors in a way would definitely create a really pretty effect with the blending out of the white- I love your channel btw!!

Gray paper, purple ink, that sounds super blue to me. Only 1 was actually blue, (rather turquoise to me) the marker. The ink was a dark purple (to me).

OMG!!!! Anyone from the Red Queen fandom here? Because that is basicly all of the RQ electronices combined in to one caracter!! Because it is like Mare’s body and in the corners it’s like purple and then it’s Ella because of all the blue, and then it’s Tytonbecause the white short hair and then finally it’s Rafe because his brainelectronicskilling tings..., Idk what to call it, but they are represented by the lightning from the hair kind of. + it’s kind of also Cal because of the puns in this video (If you dont know what Red Queen is, it is a series written by Victoria Aveyard and it is better than any book out there and you should read it. There is 4 books + Cruel Crown and in like half a year also Broken Throne. Though this was kind of a spoiler but anyway🤣😍😘) Loved this video though I’m a little bit late commenting but never mind😅😘❤️

I’m assuming the reason the inks and paper look purple is because of the camera. Everything seems to be toned slightly warm in this video.

All I can say is thank you. I've been stuck in a really bad artists block/burn out for months. I started watching your videos and I just got really inspired. Your art style is really fun and cute. I usually gravitate towards darker styles and sometimes a bit more realistic with heavy shading. However, I really like the way you draw faces. I think I'm going to branch out a bit with my style and go for a bit more fun bubbly things. :) if I end up posting it anywhere I'll be sure to give you credit for inspiration. I don't plan on stealing any of your creations, that's not my intention at all. I just wanted to let you know that my 8 months of being completely stuck has come to an end and I can't thank you enough.

I love that paper and I like that light blue ink, but so much blue throws me. Like pop a random bit of pink or something that's the same shade so it blends. Really nice job on the end product!

I thought this was my first time watching this UNTIL you sploshed ink on your hand and I said to myself, “Hey” as I realized I have watched this before but I love to binge watch your videos so much I’m going to continue to watch! You’re my favorite. There is no mystery as to why you have more subscribers than anybody I know.
