Hi everyone! Here's my first gold ink drawing! I was really excited to finally try this out, and I'll definitely be using it again in future drawing projects. Really interested in hearing what you think of this longer video. It was a lot of fun to work on and I hope to try more art supply videos soon. Sorry I didn't post anything last week! One of my hard drives failed and I've been frantically trying to save and back up my work. Installed a new SSD yesterday, so I'm ready to work on more drawing videos for you! Yay great to see you there Chris and love beautiful gold ink I wouldn't mind trying that myself is it expensive? Love flow of looks magical and love kingfisher and mix watercolours neat and effective way bring your art to life and by using gold ink makes even more amazing well done once again and I like see you draw hummingbird next may in similar way as suggestion and wish all best Xmas and New year 😊

That looks... wow.. I’m speechless! It’s absolutely beautiful Chris, I love this piece! You did such an incredible job and the gold ink looks amazing. Have you tried using ink wash? It’s a bit tricky at first but you get the hang of it after a few tries. Keep up the amazing work and I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Neo Drama no it's not that, I was using a 0.5 mm ball point pen so it took me about 3 hours to make a good pic of a certain Touhou character that I talk too much about because of how long it takes to get good coverage. .__.

It was a little hard to see just how much the gold added to the drawing during the time lapse, but it became much clearer afterwards. I'm not sure if it was just the camera not focusing on the gold ink, or the ink just moving around too much before drying. Either way, when the camera really focused on the finer details of the finished drawing, the gold became much more apparent and it really made the overall drawing that much better.

Thank you for the support!! :) Yep, it was quite difficult to get the camera and the lighting set up to really show off the bright reflections of the gold ink. I think next time I'll try to angle the set-up and change some settings on the camera. Can't wait to try the ink again!

Ooo.. Pretty ink. I do have an idea if you see this. I'm not sure if you done it before because I just found your channel and this video. The idea is.. You could draw a Chinese Dragon or rather their actual name which is East Asian Dragon. I'm sure it will be beautiful! Keep up this good work and don't let people try to bring you down if you are good. I would also love a snake but the actual snake itself is a forest. Of course, you don't have to do these.

Amazed...I really am. What was your favorite and least favorite part of this drawing? Also, for another video idea, you could try clay. I know it is kind of expensive, and I understand if you would rather not spend money on that. But I would love to see you sculpt. Basically anything you did with it would be cool. Thank you so much! :) My favourite part was definitely adding the gold ink as I'd been looking forward to it for a long time. Least favourite was probably adding the black outlines because I feel like I added a bit too much to some areas. Still getting used to dip pens, so that's something I've learnt before I try them again. That's an awesome suggestion! I've been trying to think of ways I could try some 3D art, and that could work well. Thank you again! Hope you have a great weekend!

I've tried gold inks on my channel for small details and loved them but once I tried using them for bigger areas, they were really patchy and I was simply not able to get an even layer. I love how you used them... makes me want to use,them again, haha

I suppose the reason why you get that moving effect is due to the fact that the bronze presumably has to be almost perfectly weighted for it to be suspended in the solution for an extended amount of time, so even the slightest change in temperature is enough to increase or decrease the mass of the bronze so it either sinks more, or floats more.

I absolutely adore the finished product though I feel the use of the black ink was a bit too heavy and I would have preferred the use of watercolors to be more noticeable in the finished peice, but this is just me nitpicking. I absolutely loved this and keep up the good work my good fellow!!

If you want to do more drawing with it, then i recommend you to make an orokin drawing from the videogame warframe, you'll need a lot of that ink. For example: You could draw a prime warframe, or the executor ballas

Your kingfisher is absolutely lovely! I agree with the viewer who suggested you do a hummingbird too. I just discovered your channel, and have shared this on a couple of my Pinterest boards. Have you ever tried the Jacquard brand of metallic/pearl acrylic paints, "Lumiere?" They are superb supplies! The company also produces mica colors which can be added to watercolors, "Pearl-Ex."" They will complement the gold ink by Windsor and Newton. This picture would make a striking design for a matching porcelain plate, teapot, cup and saucer! You may want to go to Zazzle.com/Purrsonalities* (my storefront) and look at the incredible array of products you could digitally put your images on. You never have to buy anything you design, and there are always sales on different products if you decide to make a purchase. The company works with Disney as well as other major brands. I don't think so. I think maybe a fixative spray could help, but I haven't tried that out yet.

So Beautiful watching that gold ink moving like it's alive, I suppose it is alive in some way. I have a small request/challenge, if you will. I don't believe I have ever seen you draw anything in the Art Nouveau style, like Alphonse Mucha. Do you think you would mind making something in that style sometime? I was going to suggest JC Denton form the original Dues ex, but now I`ll suggest Adam Jensen from Deus Ex Human Revolution on account of the gold/yellow tint everything has. You could totally do something with the gold ink there.

Too much gold used. If seen the result, you can't see what the focus of the painting should be (it's not the bird anymore). Now it's like a painting with a lot of gold...
