I understand everyone saying “doc so drunk lol” but as he said in his h3 interview, he is actually pretty shy. So being up there in front of all those people must have been pretty freaky. It was a great speech, I know I got choked up listening to it. I hope when the Doc streams on Thursday everyone gives this man the respect he deserves for the award and that speech. Because once he found his words, it was beautiful.

One of the many reasons hes in character is because it is his outlet to express himself in a way he may have not been able to do in the past. So becoming the Doc is his way of being that outgoing inner self he wants to be. It was a great speech. Heart moving as well, I'm happy for him.

I really just hope Doc’s first stream back on Thursday isn’t filled with people saying “dude you were so drunk” but rather “your speech was great”. Every part of that speech was strategically thought out and executed EXACTLY as was intended by the Doc. If you thought otherwise you need to GET A GRIP!! In less than 5 minutes he took us on an emotional journey filled with the type of speed and momentum bullet trains wet dream about. Right! But the entire time, he was IN CONTROL! So hair pin your bangs, rein in your misconceptions, and remember your base camp perspective doesn’t involve being the Doc, mountain tops, or google prototype technology. Think about it!

It's cause he's not being himself. He's created this persona with an outfit and everything, and he never breaks character (except a few times when he can't hold back a laugh) and that sets him apart from everyone else.

honestly the walk at 3:04 and the turn into Raul was so cool and smooth well done to the camera guy too for making it look so awesome.
