Dread actually chases u, he is very faint but u can see it, he is slower than normal walkspeed so u can outrun him

Dread is one of the few things that actually triggers my trypophobia (fear of holes)

Heres a detail you can see dread getting closer to you as a faded image a nice a tbh creepy detail

that voice in the start is so relaxing

Fun fact: you can very faintly see dread as it chases you through the room you can see this in one of demons videos

You apparently can also use the alarm clock, from room 49 after escaping Figure to decrease the midnight wait.

When i heard dread i heard burn my dread on my head

I was playing with a friend of mine when I got dread, but the thing being I got lost in room 150 for an hour straight, getting me killed I was astonished and pissed as hell that I that my reaction forwards dying to dread was just this "🗿"

FACT: dread does not guaranteely attack you after a few seconds but hes reaching you slowly and you can even see and outrun him as long as you want in the same room but its hard to see him

I remember I almost had Dread spawn in the 3rd Figure room in the mines

I used a crucifix on it but it killed me, which really annoyed me

i tried getting Dread a few days ago. After the lights broke nothing happened l until I gave up at around 4 am on the in-game clock. Guess Dread was out sick that time.

I once got dread in the dark room with figure and fuses.

You can also use the new clock item found in doors 49 and 50 and those clocks only move when you’re moving making it perfect for predicting dread encounters!!!

If you want to encounter Dread in Floor 1 during the Floor 2 update, you need to have made it past Figure's Room at Door 50.

That’s why I died at 102 when I was eating a burger and hotdog

i think dread is a personification of us as a character fearing the unknown of whats behind the next door, we pace around filled with fear, only to than face the darkness slowly surrounding us, and eventually killing us with our fear.

This was the only reason how i got dread. Thx!

Dread in simple terms: don’t wait around too long.

I got both of these badges yesterday.

Watching still triggers the lights going out but not the vision distorted or spawning dread

Dread can also spawn in the mines after waiting for like 8 minutes

The dread already appeared in the last update, it spawned in a different way, and now he has 2 badges and different way of appearing

Fun fact: around the halfway mark when lights start breaking you can get a slight glimps of dread and then his sound will faintly play (＾ｖ＾)

How long you have to wait for dread to kill you isn't actually time based. He has a physical body thats very hard to see and emits a whispering sound. He spawns a short distance away from you and slowly moves toward you. I have a video of me running circles around him for a minute straight.

YOU CAN AFK IT WILL WORK. When i was doing my stream today (floor 1 stream my newest one) i accidentally spawned drake when i was sitting still. (I had to eat because my parents got mcdonalds)

Remember only from 1-13 with this clock if u open the door the timer resets and u need to wait again or go to a different clock

i thought he just kills you if you stay afk for too long? he still is just one of those entity's that you need to do stuff to get, doesn't prevent you from anything, screech prevents you from staying in dark rooms too long, rush prevents you from freely making it to the end without much of a challenge

i camped infront of a door and waited for dread to spawn as soon as he did i left

For some reason when I was at room 61 I got it on accident when I open the door I still survived but I got the badge so you don't have to die to get it

I got survived dread thanks to my friend going afk for 10 minutes 😂

I somehow accidentally survived dread before the seek room in floor 2.

I mean you can wait an hour in the lobby/door 0 and dread will still go off
