Note: I couldn't tell when I listened to this video back, but Brutus was sitting on my lap during this recording and making some noise. He likes to give his input, you know?
It wasn’t distracting and I thought Brutus raised some excellent points! Good video, man. I wish WG would change their stance on secondaries generating xp. At the minimum, more xp for getting a “close quarters expert” medal would be nice.
I've been getting into wows legends again, and I've been mainly been playing my beloved petro. I can confirm that Michelangelo is a massive pain in the ass to kill with petro ap when they player knows how to properly angle
@@luigisalcedoii6077 yes. I have this one clip where I absolutely decimate a Kronstadt who faces the same issue. His AP simply can’t do anything to it. And that’s pretty much true of any cruiser when this thing angles
Been running this with a revel build. ( hipper and fernandez ) averaging 110k+ damage in around 15 games so far. Super fun, and love surprising a dd, or cruiser while running smoke. She can chew up BBs as well if you're smart/ and or lucky enough.
Just got the Michelangelo a couple days ago. I have to say I enjoy it, if for no other reason than it plays differently from anything else out there...same reason I really like the D7P.
@@shannonmcc8161 that’s probably the reason I like it so much. The more I play it, the more I like it. I’ve got only somewhere around 20 games though. But I think it must be a good and tanky ship because I have a 75% WR in it at the moment and my average attracted damage is 1.3 million
@@lillpete64 are they really the main guns though? It’s kind of backwards with this design. I look at it as the secondaries being the main battery, so I want as much out of them as I can get. But yes. Rudder does help with angling and actually using the technical “main battery.” I’d still use concealment mod though.
I know everyone’s playing secondaries on this but I spec’d out for AA’s. I think it’s got like 58 guns. I still get 7.5k on secondaries. It’s pretty fun. I think I like shooting down aircraft way more fun. I thought my Rochester was a beast. The Mich is way more fun with AA build and my range in secondaries is still sufficient distance.
I think AA is the least interesting part of the game and (thankfully) CVs are not in every match, so I am skeptical about the value of sacrificing secondary efficacy for the sake of AA, but to each their own.
@@Xarkun I know I get it. Same with Rochester. Not all games have cv’s. I do have two commander builds. The other for secondaries. But it’s fun when a CV is in the game and they get destroyed. Love the channel.
I’ve got over a 70% w/r with greater than 20 games at this point, and I can say this ship is a TERROR, IF you know what you’re doing. Want some pro-tips, HMU.
@@randychang9733 yeah… I don’t have a ton of games in it right now. But my WR is 75%, average damage 113k (was 135k before I got a series of no cross play matches), and 1.3 million average potential damage. I feel like those numbers are a bit crazy.
I tried it but with a cruiser commander, max secondary range I was able to get was 9.2km. And with Revel and the Porcupine skill, it’s 10.2 or 10.3. I decided the extra range on Revel was more worth it.
@@Xarkun Okay, that's a fair assessment. And probably better advice than my initial thoughts. I've completed the campaign already and haven't played it yet. The only reason i made my statement is because i tend to play these kinds of ships more hybridized, but figured you might have some decent input to consider Great video as always Xark and thank you for the perspective Captain! o7
I tried it with Zara and its not worth it. Many of those perks are main gun focused especially that on second row. You won't be effectively using that perk with those turret placements. Mimbelli would be much better choice and as for Littorio, well, pretty much all perks are "Battleship" focused and thus completely meaningless. So its either Mimbelli or Revel.
