I always admired the short but so effective and super catchy piano solo in it: that part many players skip or forget or something,..so I worked especially for fitting that one in exactly as it is in the wonderful original studio recording. Thank you for your very nice comment! And yes, depending on which piece I play, or which style, I sometimes prefer one of my pianos, and sometimes the grand piano. Well, you can see that on the diversity of pieces on my channel. Also for pupils it can sometimes be a sort of eye-opener: a grand piano is not "always better" than a piano (what many people think). It all depends also, of course, on how good your piano is well regulated technically speaking, so that you have an even and smooth sound & touch. Thanks again! @@simonvanthoff laten we zeggen dat het gaat om de zoon van de kapper in het dorp waar jij vroeger woonde. Inmiddels woont hij al zo'n 25 jaar in Tilburg en sinds 10 jaar met mij. Ook heeft hij een dochter die graag een beetje mag pingelen. Geen les, gewoon op gevoel en met behulp van YT en TikTok, maar ze heeft er wel aanleg voor. Mijn vriend wist zich trouwens nog wel het eea te herinneren over jou en je familie, maar ook zeker over jouw uitzonderlijke talent. @@Jod3lay ikzelf ook pas sinds enige jaren Beatle-McCartney fan (dat laatste met name :) Heb al zijn (studio)albums. Kan er uren over bomen haha :-) Vorig jaar op t digi-krantje vh conservatorium hier een leuk kort interview met mij over zijn 80e verjaardag (Google mijn naam + Paul McCartney, dan vind je het wel). Thanks! Yes it's a wonderful song, and not as easy to play as it seems; this one also took me some time to be able to play it more or less correctly. I studied this version, just as all of my pop covers here on my channel, not really with a totally written-out score: almost every written-out pop song has its flaws and misprints. So, what I always do is the following: I try to find somewhere (online, books, internet, shops, friends, teachers, wherever), a printed score in the right key that is more or less acceptable. Then I will closely listen to the original recording, (in this case the wonderful Mamas & Papas recording), and then I will correct as many of the mistakes that I can possibly hear and find by myself in that print. That proces can take a long time, depending on the print, and depending on your ears, and depending on your patience. Then, after that, when you have mastered playing (more or less) this half-self-made-score, I always try to find on RU-vid covers that I find inspirational, or interesting, or technically challenging, and I try to incorporate in my playing some elements of that particular cover that I happened to like. (For example: that bluesy right-hand-lick that you can hear in the intro I have 'stolen' from another RU-vidr who played that jazzy lick so very well). So then I try to master some of this elements and corporate them in my version. Also that will take some time and patience. That's why you can see me play this piece by heart: the above described process takes a lot of time and trying-out, so it will be memorized automatically in the process of studying a new piece. Beautiful. You are very talent. Cass Elliot is my favorite female singer of all time. My sister was a child prodigy on the piano. Had lessons, excelled rapidly and was playing extremely difficult classical music by the time she was age 15. She could play by ear. We grew up in the ‘70’s, and she could hear one of the popular hits on the radio once and play it without sheet music. Her style was just like yours. She had a Gid given talent. Sadly, she now has Rheumatoid arthritis and is unable to play. But, as a family, we would all gather around the piano while she played hymns, pop music, etc. and we would all sing our hearts out. Those were the good old days when families did things together. Precious memories.

Thank you for your very nice response! 👍🏻🎹😃 As you maybe have read in some of the comments, yes, it's a combination of my version, and copying (of course) the wonderful original (especially that piano solo, which many don't play), and copying some of the nice licks I heard here and there in other versions, and also used a score I have at home as a kind of basis.
