Apologies for my lack of French but I had to comment on your wonderful care in rebuilding this bike. I have an earlier version of this model that I bought new in 1981, I still have it, and it was and still is such a wonderful bike..
@@kr5746 Hello. I have looked up the original receipt and now realise I purchased the bike in 1982, rather than 1981. I am sorry to say I can't be certain of the exact model as it isn't mentioned on the receipt but having looked at old catalogues it looks like a PX8 of some sort, as shown in Peugeot's 1982 catalogue. I say that as there seem to be a few details that are different on mine in that it has dual action brake levers, and the handlebars are also engraved with some emblems. At the time I was told it was some sort of special model but to be honest I put that down to salesmanship.
Update! Just as I was about to leave the old catalogues I think I have come across the exact model - it looks like it is a PH8S, which was sold in the UK as the "Explorer de Luxe Tourer. And mine is in "Pearl Silver".

Modele p10sa blanc avec selle et gaine rouge j'en avait deux un transformé en course donc plus de garde boue ni porte bagage et le deuxième d'origine sauf la fourche full chrome lui je vais lui refaire une beauté. Par contre les garde boue sont magnifique sur celui que tu remonte
