One of our favorite Bullitts is this color. We used to have three but accidentally sold one. Fantastic video!

really nice build, but I feel these bikes are not very practical... unless you live in the city, or in close proximity and can ride in... are a working courier, and also very knowledgeable in bike repairs... and have a good $4000 (minimum) to invest in one of these builds... I think these bikes are genius inventions, but next to impossible to commute with, if you happen to live on the outskirts of the city... In addition to couriers, most of whom can't afford something like this, I feel these are reserved for the inner-city wealthy folk that know nothing about bikes but want to carry their Peloton bike to spin class with them, stopping at Whole Foods on their way home to buy some non-gmo facial cleansing wipes and grass-fed meats for their dog named Bartholomew... and obviously don't mind being taken for a ride at their local bike shop when repairs need to be performed

Lots of people live in urban areas that aren't wealthy. Just average working class or middle class people. Its not exactly a practical commuter bike, but it can move kids, groceries, or basically anything that 2 panniers just cant accomplish on a normal bike. Cost is basically not a factor at all, because its still much much less expensive than a car, even if you have to take it to a bike shop for all your repairs.

@@adamt195 I fully agree it's "much much less expensive than a car", and I'm sure the costs of repairs are also much less... having never had an opportunity to ride one, it makes me wonder how much the elongated frame affects the handling, especially if you have a considerable amount of weight in the front also, if carrying children (or animals) isn't necessary, there's specialty bag companies that produce bags much larger than your average panniers... I happen to own one from Trash in Minneapolis that's approximately 90 liters in capacity and roughly $400-$500

@@cluckcluckgoose9243 Cargo bikes are specifically designed around carrying 300-500lbs. Lots of owners say it handles better with a small load than it does unloaded. Front loaders like the Bullitt are preferred by many people because of the wide open platform. Google image search: "bullitt bike couch" to see all the random stuff you can strap to it. Cant always do that with a pannier. Groceries, sure. But if was only buying a bike for groceries, a long tail cargo bike might be the best option, or a standard e-bike with a trailer. For moving kids, look at pics of the Urban Arrow Family. I've ridden one with an adult in the front and its much easier than having that weight on a rear rack. And there's other advantages of a front loader for kids, like being able to use a rain cover over the box. Just like how there's lots of different cars, there are lots of different cargo bikes, depending on what you need. I just ordered a Bullitt because the front platform offers the most flexibility, and I don't plan on having kids. For most people, an e-bike with panniers or a trailer will likely be the best option.

That’s so small minded and generalising to the Max. Or Bartholomew. Or Brutus. Or whatever your kid’s (or dogs) name is. You seriously sound like a tosser saying ‘these are reserved for inner-city wealthy folk who know nothing about bikes’..... then questioning the handling of a cargo bike.....and then going on to say you have never even had a ride on one😵 I use an Ortlieb Messenger backpack, with a homemade extra long closure strap and I get by. I have 3 pannier racks, and panniers and I still prefer the bag. I don’t own a car. I own a collection that is made up of thousands of dollars worth of predominantly vintage bikes and vintage parts accumulated over quite a long time and I definitely ride some of the cheaper/older/lower spec bikes from the 90’s more often than the the 2 modern bikes I own. Each to their own.... ride safe😊
